Author's Note:
This is part one of a two part fic and the first time I'm writing about this particular character... hope you like it!

Filius Flitwick sighed deeply, although it sounded like an elongated squeak to everyone else (if they had been listening to him). He really wasn't used to having a student of his house in the spotlight in the staff room; after all, it was Minerva who usually had the troublemakers and she was experienced at handling them. Yet, despite the fact that stereotypes were prejudiced against the Hogwarts houses, Flitwick very much doubted Ravenclaw had ever encountered such a mischievous student. Apparently, this time Severus Snape was the victim as his hair was covered with sticky transparent goo. That and he was yelling at the top of his lungs.

"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE... COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL... DISGRACE TO MY REPUTATION...."

Minerva McGonagall chose that moment to snort softly. Severus was about round up on her, but realized who he would be facing, and shrank back into his chair, glaring wrathfully. Even after graduating from Hogwarts about six years ago, he still was intimidated by the Transfiguration teacher.

"Alright... I think what we need to do is decide on what punishment should be allotted for such behavior... rather than listing grievances," stated Minerva professionally. This woman really knew how to handle things.

"But my Eye informs me that this is very atypical behavior for Ravenclaws," declared Sibyll Trelawney, who was notorious for her blatancy. Minerva rolled her eyes.

"That's nice, Sibyll. Why don't you go and have some tea? I'm sure that the tea leaves are just bursting to provide you with insight on the future of the meeting anyway...."

"What a wonderful idea to enhance the knowledge of my Inner Eye! I shall proceed at once!" And with that, Sibyll Trelawney swept off, sweeping along a shimmering silk shawl. It would be a long time before she manages to realize Minerva's sardonic tone.

"Well," sighed Minerva, looking more cheerful, "that got her out of the way."

"I've never heard of this in my teaching career!" said Ralph Kettleburn, the Care of Magical Creatures professor, returning the subject. "The other day, she turned one of my unicorns blue!"

"Was it harmed?"

"Well.... no. But still, this is clearly out of line!"

"Ahem."

All the professors now looked at Flitwick as if they had just realized he was a member of the faculty.

"Well, seeing that this is a student of my house and, therefore, my responsibility, I feel that I should be able to decide on the punishment myself. After all, I feel that I am fully capable of handling such a situation, however rare it might be."

"Professor Flitwick... do you really think you are... up to such a task?" asked Severus slickly.

"Why not? After all, if I have been able to handle her in my classes, I'm sure I'll be able to control her behavior. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a particular student to talk to."

With that, Flitwick hopped off his chair and proceeded to Ravenclaw Tower.

"What is he trying to do? I don't think he knows what he is up against, Minerva," whispered Madame Hooch, who had suffered from the raid of the impish Ravenclaw earlier that week. She would always miss those three brand-new Golden Snitches.

"I don't know... although now that I look at it, it's less surprising that the girl would act in such a manner," Minerva replied.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well, after all, she is related to Sirius Black."

"Oh!"

"Well, I'd just have to say 'Good luck' to Filius. Imagine having to give detentions to Nymphadora Tonks...."
