CHAPTER 10

When dawn broke, Harry could hear someone moving about in the room. He fumbled around for his glasses, but before he could put them on, someone spoke.

"Oh, good, Harry, you’re awake," Draco whispered.

Harry put on his glasses and could see that Draco was getting ready to go down to breakfast. He noticed that the Durmstrang robes were a bit different from the Hogwarts robes. Replacing the Hogwarts House Insignia was a glowing red flame. Also, the sweater underneath the robe was jet black and his tie was a deep shade of red.

"I think I like the Hogwarts robes better," Draco said, gazing into the full-length mirror that was on the back on the closet door and smoothing his robes.

"What time is it?" Ron said sleepily.

"Oh, great. So I’m the last one up," Ginny said as she sat up in Draco’s bed.

"It’s all right Ginny," Draco said. "I was going to let you all sleep, but I’m glad that you’re awake, so I can give you a few instructions."

"First, like I said last night, use my owl and send Dumbledore a letter about this. Let him know that you three are here and that Hermione is okay," Draco started.

As he said this, he walked over to a large cage where a Barn Owl was sleeping and opened the door.

"She’ll fly right out of the window," Draco said, stroking the animal.

"Second, please do not move about too much, I don’t want people getting suspicious."

"How are we supposed to eat?" Ron growled.

"Well, the food here is okay, so I guess that I’ll sneak some up for you after lunch. As for right now, my mum packed a few pumpkin pasties for me, so you can have those. They’re in that bag by the nightstand,"

Draco answered. "Other than that, I think that everything will be okay as long as you keep the door locked."

Oh, okay then. I’m going back to sleep," Ginny said.

"Do you plan on staying in my pajamas all day?" Draco asked.

Ginny was already asleep.

Draco smiled to himself as he walked out of the door.

"Well, I’m hungry. Would you like a pastie?" Ron asked as he stood up to get the pasties out of the bag.

"No, thanks. I’m going to write Dumbledore a letter," Harry replied.

Harry grabbed a quill and a roll of parchment and began to write.

    Dear Professor Dumbledore-

Ginny, Ron and myself are at Durmstrang school for the     Dark Arts. The Death Eaters have Hermione, but she is okay.     Draco Malfoy is helping us to get her out. Please help.

                Harry

Harry rolled the parchment and went to the Barn Owl’s cage. The

Owl flew out and Harry tied the letter to its leg. He then opened the window to let the owl fly out.

"Did you ask him to help us?" Ron asked.

"Yeah, I did, but I don’t think that he will get the letter before we try to get Hermione out," Harry answered.

"I sure hope that he isn’t mad at us for coming here," Ron said with a mouthful of pumpkin pastie.

"I don’t think he will be, but who knows," Harry said as he sat back down on the sofa. "All we have to do now is wait."
