Author's Note:
Well, I didn't really like this fic. I read it over and over and I started to dislike everytime. But people wanted it to continue so I continued. I just thought Draco wasn't canon enough but if your in to Fanon!Draco you know... I'll continue.

Draco looked out his window and saw a brown tawny owl he'd never seen before, carrying a letter. Curiously, he untied the letter on the owl's leg - it was from that Mudblood. He was shocked. He pinched himself hard, which made his arm hurt like hell. He dropped the note and rubbed the part where he pinched, "Shit!" he yelled as the spot reddened.

The Slytherin's attention went back to the note. He began to think, "Why would that Mudblood owl me?" He opened the note and thought it was very colorful. He looked over the letter he could not believe his eyes - the Mudblood had invited him to a party! Surprised, he went downstairs to their beautiful kitchen where a house elf was cooking breakfast and his mum reading the newspaper. She looked up and said, "Draco, what on earth were you yelling for?"

"Sorry mum, but some girl from school asked me to go to a pool party and I stubbed my toe so I yelled," he lied while fighting the urge to replace the word "girl" with "Mudblood."

"But I'm not going," he added. That was a wrong move.

"Draco William Malfoy you will go to the party and you will have fun!" she said shrilly. Draco was shocked, mostly his mum never yelled at him.

Quickly, his mum said, "Sorry, who is the girl?"

"Hermione Granger, the know-it-all Mudblood," Draco replied.

"Watch your mouth," she said sharply.

She then asked, "What House?"

"Gryffindor," he replied with an icy drawl.

"Now Draco, Dumbledore said we needed to improve inter-house relationships so you go there and be nice." He knew there was no use arguing with his mother so he agreed and went back upstairs in his room and started writing a reply:

Granger,

I can go, but I'm just reminding you that I am only going because my mum made me. Yes, I do know that it sounds lame, but it's true. So . . . I guess I'll meet you there.

D. Malfoy

He could not believe he was going to that Mudblood's party. He gave the note to the owl, and then gave it some water before it left. He went downstairs to his mum when he realized that he had no swim trunks he had to buy some

Hermione woke up early that morning. Zeus and Hedwig were right out the window, pecking the life out of it. She opened the window and let them in. She looked through the replies and just found out: Malfoy was the only Slytherin that going to go. She couldn't help but feel sorry for him; the only Slytherin guy is going to be lonely... Wait - snap out of it! He's a snobby git and who cares about him? Well, I guess while I'm up I'll get breakfast.

Fast Forward

It was July thirteenth, the day before the party; Hermione had never been so nervous in her life. She compulsively trying to get her mind off the party, but it was no good. She kept on looking at her blue tankini and wondered if it looked good on her. Over the months she had had gotten her hair straight with a frizz-free hair serum. She grew curves at the right places, but since she was at the library so much no one had noticed.

Meanwhile at the Malfoy Manor:

"MUM! WHERE ARE MY SWIM TRUNKS? DID YOU EVEN GET THEM?" Draco screamed very loudly.

"Yes honey, come look at them," Draco's mum replied. He came downstairs he was sort of shocked. He thought they'd look fancier. They looked like muggle shorts. Draco had never been to a pool but had read about them in a book. They were surf shorts.

"Draco can you try them on? I saw them at a muggle store I thought they looked good." They were red. Black and sliver stripes ran down the right side and there were words that said Quiksilver. All Draco that was wearing was a guy's tank top and the surf shorts.

Draco got a little buff . . . well, A LOT more buff over the summer. He wasn't the scrawny skinny little kid now; he had it all brains, brawns, good looks, and money. Could his life get any better? Actually it could, all those things weren't everything he wanted. He needed friends. Real friends, not like Crabbe and Goyle, but like Hermione has like Harry and Ron. Then he was struck with a new feeling. What was this feeling? Was this jealousy? Of the Mudblood? Yeah right...

Back to Hermione's House:

Hermione brushed her teeth and went to bed, and that night she had a dream. It was the pool party everyone was there, even Malfoy, but he was in a thong bikini and, well . . . he didn't look half bad. People weren't paying attention to him, but they were more like looking at her. She looked down. She wasn't wearing anything but a guy's swim trunks. She was embarrassed, and turned as beet red as Ron's hair. She woke up with a start, clammy and drenched in cold sweat and on the ground in the bathroom. After that it was a bit obvious she didn't get back to sleep so she got dressed in her tankini and put her clothes on over it. She went downstairs and ate and sat on her couch continuously watched the clock. Time passed so slowly that it seemed as though it was going backwards. Eventually she was so bored and tired she closed her eyes and fell asleep for the second time.
