It All Began With A Pool

It was the summer break from Hogwarts, and Hermione was fresh out of her sixth year. She was sad because the next year she would be her last year. She would miss Hogwarts. She was also confused. She didn't know what to do next after she was done with Hogwarts. She just wanted to do some thing fun and set her mind off of those sorts of thoughts.

The 16-year-old Gryffindor sat on her bed. Suddenly, she was struck with a brilliant idea! A pool party... she didn't know when, where, or how, but a pool party. She just wanted a pool party. She jumped off the bed as if the bed pushed her off. She went downstairs in her beautiful house. Her mother and father were already downstairs in the kitchen.

She asked her parents while on her knees, "Mum, Dad please can I have a pool party with all the future 7th years. I just need a party. Stress. Loads of stress! I need fun. Lots of fun! Please, oh PLEASE, can I have a pool party?"

While Hermione was muttering stuff to her parents and telling them all the reasons why she should have pool party reciting something like a persuasive essay, her mum and dad were completely ignoring her and talking about the party.

Finally, her mom and dad said something, "Fine, but you have to be nice and invite at least a few people from every house. (A/N: You know Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and the other houses?) Not all from Gryffindor. Be nice, sweetie."

Happily Hermoine skipped up in to her room and then she just remembered her mum saying from ALL the houses that meant Slytherin and most of all Slytherin meant Malfoy. She screamed short high-pitched scream. Draco Malfoy was not only Hermione's but also Gryffindor's most hated enemy besides Snape, the Potions Master. And Draco Malfoy was a pale pointed faced, snobby git.

Trying to forget about Malfoy, she saw Hedwig, Harry's female snowy owl. She was carrying a note - it said:

Dear Hermione,

How are you? I'm fine here. Dudley is still fat as ever and I'm still here for the rest of my life, but can you believe it? It's going to be our last year. NO MORE DURSLEYS!!! Yes! Send a reply with Hedwig.

Hermione very excited to write back to Harry about the pool party grabbed a piece of parchment and her quill and started writing:

Dear Harry,

Harry, I'm fine and I'm having a pool party! You're invited and Ron as well! But the thing is that I have to invite a few people from each house EVEN Slytherin! I guess if we keep them under control they'll behave... I hope. Well I hope you can come! I'll give you the information later.

Hermione satisfied with the letter gave Hedwig some water and she flew off. She got on her bed and fell asleep.

Hermione woke up in the middle of the night sleepily and checked her clock, "Two in the morning?" she muttered.

She sat up slouching and got up anyways. While walking down the stairs she just remembered the pool party she went back upstairs to make invitations. This is how they turned out...

7^th Years Pool Party!

Who? Hermione Anne Granger

Where? Funky Waters

When? July 14, 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Why? 7^th year's last year of course!

R.S.V.P by owl as fast as you can please!

P.S. Please bring swimming suits, towels, goggles, and etc.

P.P.S. Also I best think people should use the Knight Bus to get there.

Hermione looking satisfied would ask her mum to copy these of at the nearest copy machine place. Looking at the clock and saw that it was only three in the morning decided to go downstairs and eat a bagel. She watched some TV and finally her parents came downstairs. She showed them a list of everyone she wanted to invite...

Hermione stopped "Hmm..." she thought whom else. She remembered that she didn't know any Ravenclaws, besides Padma, "Hmm... I guess on to Slytherin." She said quietly and shuddered.

Hermione peered over the list and was happy with the list (besides the Slytherins) and gave it to her parents. Her mum and dad came back from the copier place. She went upstairs in her room got her new owl, Zeus, named after the Greek God. She sent Zeus off to send a letter to Harry, asking if she could borrow Hedwig to carry half the invitations. Zeus came with a quick reply, and Hedwig, which meant Harry had said yes to her to borrow his owl, but there was a note attached to Hedwig's leg she untied it and it said:

Dear Hermione,

I will let you use Hedwig just please just PLEASE don't send her to any of the Slytherin's houses. I'll strangle you if you do. So don't, please.

Hermione laughed, as if Harry could scare her with his stupid threats. Of course, she knew these remarks were sarcasm. Hedwig took Harry's, Ron's, Seamus's, Dean's, and Parvati and Padma's, Lavender's, and Neville's invitations. Zeus took the Slytherin's invitations. Hermione set them off. She watched them fly until she could no longer see them any more. She hoped Zeus will be all right...
