You Call This A Holiday?

Takes place immediately after The Order of the Phoenix, but through Hermione's perspective. There are Dark things afoot, reuniting of friends, and possibly some romantic flirtations.

Hermione's back at Headquarters only to find out that she's not the only one to be targeted for Dark activities. Certain DA members have a reunion of sorts, but how will they contact Harry? Amid late nights, early mornings and awkward moments, Hermione hatches a plan.

Hermione and friends put the plan into action; they find Dudley Dursley's email address and await a response. There is a POV shift in the chapter - it's nice to get a fresh perspective on the story. Later, Hermione finds herself opening up to a Weasley in a way she hasn't been able to previously.

Who has secrets in number twelve, Grimmauld Place? Pretty much everyone! Hermione hears late-night whispers & her curiousity is piqued. She does a little snooping around and finds something startling. Fred and George make an appearance, much to Ron's delight. Ginny turns narcoleptic, and who has dibs on the newspaper? Oh yeah, and it's a full moon . . . .

What happens after lights-out? We find out what secret 'present' the twins left for Ron and what his plans for it are. A few ships leave port; most of the gang are left literally in the dark, and we learn that if you want a good night's sleep, don't share a room with Ginny Weasley.

This is what happened after the night before. How will Hermione and Ron react to each other in the morning? What was wrong with Tonks? And just what is the date today, anyhow? The gals make plans to go shopping for a certain absent somebody.

It is decided that Tonks is to take Hermione & Luna to Diagon Alley to get a birthday gift for Harry, under strict security. They have been warned not to linger or split up, because who knows what Dark things could be lurking in the shadows of the pleasant street of shops . . .

Some of the story trickles out as to how Harmione and Tonks have disappeared. Luna feels that it is all her fault, Dumbledore takes Harry away from the Dursleys earlier than he had hoped to, and Tonks and Hermione slowly learn more about their new surroundings. Where are they, and why?

Harry finally arrives at 12 Grimmauld place and first hears about Hermione and Tonks disappearing. Ron is distraught about losing Hermione, then tells Harry about 'the Firewhisky incident'. Hermione is still imprisoned but is visited by her captor.
