Finally got to Hogwarts today. Long summer at the Dursley's, but great fun at the Burrow and Quidditch World Cup. Anyway, saw Cho at the train station. She is now the best-looking girl at Hogwarts, hands-down. Anyway...

Almost got into fight with Malfoy on train this morning. He was blabbing on about something happening at Hogwarts this year. Then he made fun of Ron's dress robes. I would've punched him if Fred and George hadn't come in then.

Time for bed. Herbology tomorrow.

3 September

Malfoy got turned into a ferret the other day. Best day of my life...ha, ha ha...

Triwizard Tournament at school this year. Sounds fun. Wish I was seventeen. Maybe if Fred and George find a way to trick the judge, I'll go for it.

Maybe Cho would like me then.

6 September

Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students coming on Halloween. I wonder if any of the girls are good looking. Maybe they'll like me, and then Cho would get jealous...

Professor Trelawny predicted my death again. I wonder if I'm ever actually going to die.

30 October

Sorry so long since last entry. Lots of classwork. Snape horrible-as always. Moody (New DADA teacher) v. paranoid.

Some of the girls from Beauxbatons v. good looking. Too old for me, I think. Even though I'm Harry Potter, no one looked at me. God forbid the most famous fourteen-year-old in the wizarding world should get any action.

But, I noticed, Hermione's turning out very nicely, but Ron would kill me if I tried anything.

31 October

In shock. Picked as champion. No one believes that I didn't put my name in. Even Ron. He won't speak to me.

Other champions are Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour (v. pretty) and Cedric Diggory (pretty-boy Hufflepuff.)

Maybe Cho will like me now.

17 November

Heard from Sirius. Feel v. bad-he's coming north.

Ron still not speaking to me. Seventeen days already. Hermione's now my "best friend". Am in library every day at lunch now. Not v. fun.

22 November

Have to meet Hagrid at his house at midnight. Hope it doesn't take too long-have to meet Sirius at 1:00 by common room fire.

Ron's still not talking to me.

Later

Dragons.

23 November

First task is dragons. V. scared. How am I supposed to beat a dragon? Sirius tried to tell me, but Ron walked in. I threw something (one of Malfoy's "Potter Stinks" pin) at his head and yelled at him. Slightly regret it, but not really. Ron's being v. immature.

Hermione and I went on a walk today. She says Ron's jealous. Wonder what he's jealous of. I mean, everyone just knows my name. I've survived four encounters with Voldemort. It's not like I've done anything that extraordinary. But anyway.

Still worrying about dragon.

Hope I beat it, so Cho will like me.

26 November

First task tomorrow. Seriously considering running away from Hogwarts.

Never mind. If I did, I would have to live with the Dursley's full time.

And then I would never get to see Cho.
