'Harry!'
'Didn't you hear it?'
'The voice!'
'Voice? What voice?'
'I think it's moving...'said Harry, starting to follow the voice only he could hear; very quickly.
'Harry, wait! Not so fast!' shouted Hermione, trying to follow Harry at Ron's heels.
They came to a sudden halt, noticing the water all over the floor. They stared at the reflection on the water, then to the writing itself. Hermione gasped.
'The Chamber of Secrets has been opened,' she read. 'Enemies of the Heir, beware.' She swallowed. Then she muttered, 'It's written in blood.'
Harry stepped forward, and then saw...'Mrs. Norris!'
Hermione gasped once more.
'Huh?' Harry started. 'Enemies of the Heir? Beware?' he said slowly, looking puzzled.
'Yes, Harry. Can't you see? It's obviously-' Ron paused suddenly, looking at the direction where Dumbledore came around, rolling. The old man rolled more slowly and stopped in a flash, he apparently had broken his leg. He stood up really slowly now, the trio still watching. The Headmaster's eyebrows knitted together in pain, and only said,'Ouch.'
The next minute, he limped over to the trio and pointed at the writing on the wall, 'Thought I'll have to explain. Beware, means to be cautious and alert to risks or dangers. So the sentence does mean that we'll have to be cautious and alert, to risks and dangers in the Cham-cough-cough...' he finished his sentence and leaned to the wall for strength, while letting out desperate breathes.
Then, out of nowhere, a girl came with a parchment and a quill.
''Scuse me,' she said, indicating Harry. 'Can I have your autograph, please?' Harry took the things she had been holding and signed, 'Daniel Radcliffe.'
'Thanks!' the girl said, and moved away out of sight. From the same corner, Hagrid stumbled into the scene. The trio did not seem surprised. The half-giant stood up, and with the bruise on his forehead, he nodded to the phrase on the wall.
'B'wah,' he said; and the second after, students popped out in the same corridor. They produced some rustling sounds, arguing about what does the phrase mean.
'It's written in tomato juice-'
'We have to be careful-'
'-sake of the CASTS!'
'-where's Filch? The director said-'
'Clearly, we are supposed to read that "bee-ware"-'
'-you mean like when you "wear" glasses or-'
'-"ware" house-'
'Really? I never knew that-'
'I though it says,"bah weer"?'
Ginny Weasley, without a scratch on her body, blend into the students and approached the wall with the writings on it. She started to use her wand as a pointer.
'"Bee, ee,"' she said loudly, so that everyone can hear her; pointing to the letters "B" and "E". 'You read that "BEE"'
'"Double yoo, ay, arr, ee"' she continued, pointing the last four letters. 'You read that, "WAYH"'
'Indeed,' she said, facing the pupils. 'The word sounds like thus, "BEE-WAYH"'
And with that, the audience mumbled with amazement and nodded enthusiastically. Ginny smiled broadly.
In the other corner of the corridor, stood Mr. Filch, mumbling, 'Oh dear, we are in trouble.' And shook his ugly head.
