Quixotic Fantasy

Hermione defeats the Dark Lord in her Sixth Year, much to the anger of Harry. All ties between the trio are cut and she returns home a broken woman. But something happens to her that summer, something she believed unthinkable. Her mortality is ripped from her and the hopes of a dying race dropped upon her. Can she bring her true species back to their ruling stature, or are they meant to flounder in the blood of their enemies?
