- Author's Note:
- I have decided to discontinue this story, due to lack of suport and lack of interest. I mean, lack of interest on my part. This story has become boring for me, so I have decided to quit writing it.
Will Dumbledore get mad at me for stealing back Draco's badge? Will Harry and friends finally be nice? What will the Malfoy's Mum say about their Father's predicament?
Two days later at breakfast Dumbledore came to me while I was eating. Since I had been expecting this, though I didn't know what his reaction would be, I had told Draco to just raid the kitchen. I was surprised to see a tired look on his face instead of an angry one.
"I will not take away your brother's badge again, though you had no right to steal it from me," Dumbledore began and I nodded, though I didn't agree. "But I, on the other hand, did some things last night I should not have, and I apologize to you and your brother," he said.
' Finally, some of the 'famous' Dumbledore kindness,' I thought.
"I'll be sure to tell him," I answered, forcing myself to keep from rolling my eyes. I was not mad at Dumbledore but I was cranky from loss of sleep. Dumbledore nodded his head a fraction of an inch and swooped off to the staff table. Also, I had been thinking about some things and I had noticed that Anna had kept saying Draco was cute. And I was jealous, even though they were barely friends. Twirling a strand of my brown hair, I returned to eating. Then, the flutter of hundreds of owls sounded and I looked up just in time to see Draco's and mine brown barn owl swoop down onto my plate. I untied the letter and Althea took a piece of my bacon. Hooting softly, she flew away and I pocketed the letter because it was addressed to both Draco and I. Standing up, I hoisted my bag over my shoulder and proceeded to leave the Great Hall. I had Potions today and I groaned softly, remembering my first and only lesson. I walked slowly to Potions, taking my time. When I reached the class, I entered and sat down quickly. As Professor Snape began teaching the class, I already couldn't wait until lunch.
"Hey, Draco. Draco!" I called at my brother. He stopped talking to a Slytherin in his year and turned towards me.
"Yeah?" he asked.
"This morning at breakfast I got a letter addressed to the both of us. I think it's from Mum," I answered. He came over to me and I opened the letter. Reading over my shoulder, he read out loud.
Dear Sierra and Draco,
I am doing splendid. I want to thank you for getting rid of your father for me. Although it may have seemed as though I loved him, I did not. Though, I am forever grateful to you, I must disown you. It would not look good for our family name if I still sheltered you after you were the cause of your father losing his soul.
Wishing you a good life, your former mother.
"Never one to spice words up, is she. She could have just told us she was ashamed of us so she disowned us. That would be a lot better than just saying she was proud of us so she has to disown us," I said.
"Never was a mother to me though. I'm not sure about you but she practically ignored me," Draco said after a couple of minutes of silence on his part.
"Now I'm not hungry," I said, pushing my plate away slightly. "I guess I'll spend my free period outside."
"I have to go to Divination," Draco reported and I grinned. "Don't say anything. At least I don't take Muggle Studies."
"That's why you're missing out on the better things in life. We get to make Muggle treats sometimes, or use Muggle things, and we study Muggle things that take them years to work out when it would take our world days or maybe weeks," I said excitedly.
"You've got your world, I've got mine," he answered with a shrug. "Even though our worlds tend to intercept each other a lot."
"Oh, really? Imagine that," I said sarcastically. Grinning, I left the Great Hall to go outside in the slightly chilly air.
Three weeks later, the Trio Twits approached me. Glaring at me, Harry spoke, "That was really mean what you did to Hermione."
"And you've chosen now to talk to me now about it because?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Look, we're four years older than you and we know a lot more jinxes," Harry threatened.
"Hey, just because I'm not a future Death Eater doesn't mean I didn't get my wand early and start practicing my magic at age eight," I answered coolly. Ron started to look nervous but Harry rolled his eyes.
"Yes, I suppose Voldemort is just a warm up act compared to you," Harry said sarcastically and I grinned.
"In magic, I decidedly stink. But I can fight the Muggle way exceptionally well," I said.
"Whatever, Malfoy," Harry said.
"If you're not going to tell me who Malfoy is I'm going to scream," I threatened.
"You're acting like a four year old," Hermione said snidely.
"So, four year olds usually get their way, don't they?" I replied.
"You should know who is Malfoy is and if you don't we're not telling," Harry said decidedly. At that, I let out an earsplitting scream that caused the Trio Twits' hands to fly to their ears and a few students come running. Stopping, I grinned.
"Screaming is so childish," Hermione said.
"And I so don't care," I answered. Walking away I had to think, 'Some things will never change.'
