The day Snape was slapped
Harry walked into The Great Hall. Today´s classes had been a joke.
In Care of Magical Creatures, Hagrid had brought along some crups; Malfoy had taken the time and consideration to dump some of the sloppy, foul mess from one of the crups into Harry´s hair.
Then laughing walked off. Harry took a quick shower before going to lunch.
In Transfiguration, they had to turn a mouse into a block of cheese, Harry´s had been perfect except it still had legs and fur, and each time Harry was hurrying off to his next class, he would pass Snape, who had an evil smirk on his ugly face.
The next day, as Snape once again passed Harry through the corridors, he shook his head slightly, then reminded himself, `not yet.´
A few days later, Harry was sitting in Potions; Snape was gliding between the desks, muttering insults at the Gryffindors' work, and praising the Slytherins work. As he walked behind Harry, he flicked his hair, making some of the greasy, oily stuff hit the back of Harry´s neck. Harry slapped at the back of his neck and wiped it off.
Then turned and glared at Snape, who looked at him with a sneer.
Later that afternoon, Harry was walking through the corridors with Ron. Harry was singing a little tune to himself, "I am the best, I am the best. Nobody can be better cause I am the best. Everybody loves ME cause I am the best."
They were on their way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
Once again, Harry and Ron saw Snape walking towards them. Harry glared at him.
Just before he passed, Snape gave Harry a nasty look. "NOW´s a better time than ever, even with that carrot top there," he thought.
He shook his head, drops of greasy goop went flying, and Harry got a face full while Harry´s body had protected Ron.
The goop had splattered on Harry´s face and glasses; he stopped to wipe it off.
Harry turned to see Snape's retreating form.
Harry stood there for a moment, watching Snape, than ran up behind him, slapped the back of his head and ran like hell, closely followed by Ron.
Snape turned slowly, his eyes went a darker shade of black, looking behind him; he saw Harry and Ron running.
Snape began sprinting after them.
Ron turned his head, he saw Snape.
"His chasing us," he said between breaths.
Harry looked behind too, and muttered, "Oh great."
They ran as fast as they could, running down stairs three at a time, then burst outside.
"Why did you have to slap him?" Ron yelled.
Harry looked at him but didn´t answer.
Ron turned around just as Snape came out of the doors; he saw them and began to sprint again.
Running towards Hagrid's Cabin, Ron turned again.
"His gaining on us."
Harry turned around, and saw to his great delight Snape had given up.
"You´ll pay for that Potter!" yelled Snape, shaking his fist in the air. "You´ll pay!"
Harry turned to Ron, smiling. "A great day after all."
