Chapter Two: Too good to be true???
While Harry Potter pondered his own inability to the save people that he truly loved, somewhere in England a young woman was doing the exact same thing.
"I should have been there! You know I should have! When are you going to realize that I have the ability to protect myself and others VERY WELL!!!" Kaileigh stormed to an elderly man.
"Kaileigh, calm down I have dealt with enough adolecent ranting from Harry tonight, please don't make me go through that twice." The eyes of Albus Dumbledore looked tired and sad which made the girl bite her lip in doubt of her position. Kaileigh knew that if Albus was that upset there was a reason and she should not push it.
"But, but, you told Harry about the prophecy. Why not tell him about me?? Why not at least allow me to attend the school? PLEASE?" The fire that had at first heated her voice was gone, she was pleading now.
Albus looked down at this remarkable young woman in front of him. She had brassy, blonde hair and steel blue eyes that often changed from being green or deep blue depending on her mood. She was not the most beautiful girl ever by any means, she felt she could afford to lose 20 pounds and she felt her face was much too harsh to be that of a young woman but she nonetheless held a beauty that all people do if you look close. She held a fire about her that you could feel when she walked into the room, it was her zest for life, it's ups and downs that drew people to her and made her seem gorgeous to others.
"I'll make a bargain with you, you can come and be known as a student, rather than get tutored privately like past years, but you must not. I repeat MUST NOT let Harry know who you are. Or anyone else for that matter, I will buy you your supplies and send for someone to bring you to the school like other years." Ablus looked defeated but there was also a sense of pride in his voice when he talked about Kaileigh attending school.
"What about a wand???" Kaileigh was trying very hard to hide the tinge of excitement edging it's way into her voice.
"I will buy you an introductory wand. That should do you for now. I will call for you later, now I must get back to the Order." With that a slight popping sound was heard and Albus disappeared from view.
Kaileigh looked around at her surroundings. She couldn't believe it, she would finally be allowed to attended school like a real girl, without hiding away from the other students and receiving personal attention from all the teachers. It almost seemed too good to be true. At that thought Kaileigh knew not to get her hopes up, it would be hard as well to keep herself away from Harry and not to act like she knew him. She vowed at that moment not to hope against hope that she would be able to go to Hogwarts this year.
