Author's Note:
Why am I doing this? Why am I writing a fluff fic? Have I gone crazy? It’s this week; I know that’s the problem. I need some cheering up, I guess. After all, my backpack got stolen today, and it had my MP3 Player, my favorite pair of jeans, my Switchfoot CD, my Yellowcard CD, and my USB Port thing (for my great computers) in it. Yeah, I got pissed off and then bawled my eyes out. Cheering up time! This is really, really, really short.

I Suck at Letters, Love Ron

Written By: Lanni Weasley

It was another uneventful summer day at the Burrow. Ron and Ginny had just finished denombing the yard (yet again) an hour ago. Now, while Ginny was off doing only God knows what (she was writing to some boy, but who this boy was, Ron didn't know and didn't want to know actually). Fred and George were busy working at Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes. His mum was cooking dinner and his dad was busy at work. Charlie and Bill were never home much anyways. And Percy was still being a prat.

This left Ron very much alone.

Ron was very bored. He had no one to talk to. Harry wasn't responding to any of his letters, most likely because he was depressed about Sirius's death (poor chap) and Hermione was in south France again. Ron missed them both a lot. He couldn't even do any homework because--believe it or not--he'd finished it all already. What else could he do?

"I guess I'll write Hermione a letter to see what she's doing," Ron thought out loud to himself. He rolled off of his bed and gathered some parchment, a quill, and a bottle of ink. He laid on his stomach on his bed again and put his quill in his mouth. He had to think about what he was going to write. No matter that Hermione was in south France; she always liked to write about what she had seen. That would busy him, no doubt.

Ron figured out a few things he could say so he put the tip of the quill to the parchment and started scribbling out a letter in his messy handwriting:

Dearest Dear Hermione,

I know that you're probably busy, but I'm really bored. The Burrow is so quiet. Ginny's too busy to talk to me because of this boy she knows. She's been owling him constantly all throughout the holiday. If you know, please don't tell me. I'd rather not know of the romantic life of my little sister, thank you very much. Yuck. I know; you must be wondering what happen to Ron Weasley, but I assure you, this is him. Shouldn't I be protective? Well, yeah, but this is ridiculous (did I use that word correctly?).

Harry's not responding to any of my letters. Do you think he's okay? I'm going to ask mum if I can speak with Dumbledore about this. I don't think he should stay with those prats any longer. He needs to be around some people that actually like him, you know. I wonder what he does over there. There can't be much to do. He's probably just as bored as I am. Well, hopefully he's bored and not crying. That would be really bad. And I hope he doesn't love you like I do because that would make things even worse for us.

I'm going to also ask mum if you and Harry can come here to the Burrow. I can't get you I'm bored out of my mind. I'm so bored that even sleeping is just annoying. I've taken so many naps already! and I dream about you all the time Maybe a week here at the lovely, boring Burrow would do Harry some wonders. I know that keeping busy with you him will help me. Oh, and you don't need to help me with my homework because I already did it. Ha! You're too late! But you can still look over it (hint, hint). since you're the most intelligent witch on the planet

So...um...how's your trip in south France? Is it wicked or as boring as mine? I'm guessing it's pretty cool to be in another country actually doing stuff. Are you walking around a lot or are you taking a bus because I bet that you don't like walking if you do. You don't seem like the walking type, you know.

Anyways, well, that's all I wanted to say. Um...stay away from boys bad Muggles! I really miss you. I even miss your mesmerizing bossy voice and your beautiful bushy hair. You can tell I'm desperate excited to see you very soon and Harry very soon. It's too quiet around here without you and your lovely slightly boring books. I love it when you curl up beside the fireplace at night and read. After all, books are your favorite things in the whole world, right? I wish it was me.

I really suck at writing letters, don't I, Hermione? I'm a truly lousy writer. This is pathetic. And I look like a pathetic mess, too, after denombing. You're much more attractive better at writing letters. since you write to Krum so much Well, I guess that's all. You should've helped me write better letters.

Love, Your Good Friend, Love, Sincerely, From, Oh, bugger. Love,

Ron

Ron reread his short letter and saw that it was very messy and blotchy. He'd scratched out a lot of stuff in the letter. He sighed sadly; he was pitiful when it came to writing letters. And it showed. Hermione would receive this letter and burst out laughing into tears. How she ever became friends with such a dolt like him was beyond him very much.

He put the letter in an envelope and called for Pig, who immediately flapped over to him. He attached the letter to the little bird's leg.

"Take it to, Hermione, Pig, okay?" he muttered to the tiny owl. Ron opened his window and Pig flew out of the window at lightening speed. Ron watched as Pig disappeared and then shut his window. He flopped onto his bed when the ink bottle spilled onto his face. He jerked up and coughed, spitting ink out of his mouth.

"Sick! Blech!" Ron spit. He dashed down the stairs and into the kitchen where his mother shrieked her lungs at him. He rinsed his mouth with water.

"Ronald Billius Weasley, what in Godric Gryffindor's name are you doing?!" his mum screamed.

"Soap! I need soap!" Ron cried out, rinsing his mouth still. His mum just rolled her eyes. Ginny walked into the kitchen, eyeing her brother dully.

"He accidentally spilt ink in his mouth again after owling Hermione, didn't he," Ginny sighed. Ron shot a glare at her and then washed his mouth again. Their mother, however, nodded her head. Ginny smirked at her brother, whose head was soaked. "What did you write, Ron? 'Oh, thou art thy most beautiful thing in the world!'"

"No," Ron snapped. He walked up the stairs for his bedroom and then added under his breath, "I forgot to."
