CHAPTER THREE

Ron Weasley woke up on the morning of December 3rd with a splitting headache. "Whoa, that must've been some party last night,' he thought, stretching. He put up his hand to ruffle his hair like he did every morning and noticed that his hand was a bit thinner, smaller, and his nails were longer. Oh well, he thought. He proceeded to rumple his hair only to find out that it had grown about a foot and a half and was now half way down his back. 'What the hell?' he thought, sitting bolt up right in his bed. He also noticed how weird he felt, like he wasn't himself. Then the events of the last night came rushing back to him. 'It really happened didn't it?' He wrenched his curtains open and ran to the mirror that hung on the backside of the dormitory door.

He slowly looked up and down his new figure. 'NO WAY...' he thought. He still looked like a Weasley, no doubt, but there was something different about it. He still had the trade mark Weasley red hair (elegant curls now covering his head), blue-gray eyes and was still covered in freckles. Hell, no mistaking he was just a girlier version of himself, granted that he had shrunk about ten or so inches. He looked like a manlier version of Ginny. 'Ohmigod...I'm a GIRL!' He stood there in shock, staring at himself 'til he heard a shout from Harry's bed.

"What the frick happened to me?!" Harry yelled, wrenching open his curtains and thrusting his glasses on his nose. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Ron, stared for a moment, and then burst out laughing. Ron was already rolling on the floor, tears streaming down his face.

Harry looked, quite frankly attractive as a girl. His hair had grown about as long as Ron's had but instead of curling, or even sticking up like it normally did, it was poker straight. Apparently, adding a foot and a half weight to the fly away hair that Harry once had straightened it out. He still had his brilliant green eyes, his nose was the same and his lips were a bit fuller but his trademark scar was nowhere to be seen.

Tears spilling out of his eyes, Harry gasped, "Where's Dean and Seamus?"

"Not up yet," Ron said, panting. He grinned manically and dove into Dean's curtains and dragged the young black *ahem* woman out into the open.

Dean, looking bewildered stood up, glanced at Harry and Ron, and promptly ran to the bathroom and threw up. Upon returning, he was grinning from ear-to-ear and struggling not to laugh. His hair, unlike Harry and Ron's, was to his shoulders and was in tight braids. His nose and lips were still as normal as ever, but his brown eyes had changed to violet.

"Well," he said, looking at Harry and Ron, "Whoa, voice change! Anyways, now that we're all up might as well get Seamus up!" He walked to the last boy's bedside and wrenched the curtains open.

"Seamus! Wake up!" he shouted. But apparently he was already. Seamus was rolling on his bed, clutching his stomach, and softly chanting "Ow, ow, ow, ow."

"Seamus! What's the matter?" Harry said, running over to the younger boy's bed. When Seamus rolled over, they saw a red blotch on his bed.

"Is that blood?" Ron said, staring at the spot, then realizing that it was, he quickly said, "Quick try and help him; I'll go get Ginny. Ginny was his partner right?" he said looking at Dean and Harry for support.

"Yes, his partner was Ginny. Now go!" Harry said, turning back to Seamus seeing if he could help him.

Ron ran out of the dormitory, became a bit discombobulated for a few seconds and realized that the boys and girls had switched dorms. He promptly sprinted back up his old steps.

While the boys were discovering their more feminine selves, the girls took a little trip to the manly side of them.

Hermione was woken up by three deep, yet somewhat familiar, voices screaming in her ear.

"Hermione! It worked!" shrieked Ginny, as the now taller, shorthaired, freckled man-girl spun around the room laughing her head off. Ginny had changed as little as Ron had. She was about a foot taller, making her about six feet tall. Her hair was to her ears and was wavy-ish. Freckles still dusted her somewhat longer nose and her cinnamon colored eyes had darkened so much they were almost black.

"Way to go my little genius!" Lavender said, giggling while she inspected her new physique. Her olive colored skin had deepened a bit as if she had been in the sun; her petite figure was no more. She had bulked up a bit and was broad shouldered and muscular. Her hazel eyes hadn't changed but her nose had shrunk so she now had a perfect button nose. Her sandy straight hair had been short cropped so it was sticking up in small spikes.

Parvati was staring at Hermione, grinning. The once short, black hired boy hunter was now about 5'11", had curly jet black hair that came to her chin, and was sporting eyes as gray as rain clouds. She was still grinning as she helped the once bushy haired, buck- toothed girl out of his bed and walked him to the mirror.

Hermione had certainly changed. She was about 5'8". Her normally bushy mass of hair was now tame and straight and hung about base of her neck. Her teeth were perfect now, hidden behind two plump lips. Her chocolate brown eyes were now as blue as the sky on a cloudless summer day. As Hermione was examining the new her someone burst through the door.

A curly red haired girl about five feet two ran into the room, spinning around to look at each of he new man-girls.

"Ron?" Ginny squeaked (a much deeper squeak than she would have made normally) "Is that really you?" she said, as she busted out laughing. The other three man-girls joined in pointing and roaring with laughter.

Ron stood fighting not to laugh at what Hermione looked like as a boy now, until he remembered.

"Ginny! Seamus needs your help!" he said. That caused the girls to stop laughing immediately.

"What's the matter?" Lavender asked, looking concerned.

"Well me, Harry, and Dean all woke up and were making fun of each other, when we realized that Seamus wasn't awake yet. So we opened his curtains to wake him up and he was rolling around moaning and there was blood on his sheets!" he said in one gasping breath.

When he said this the girls stared at him for a few seconds and started laughing harder than ever.

"What is so funny?" he asked, looking taken aback.

"Nothing, nothing, nothing," Ginny said, composing herself. "Tell Seamus to meet me in the bathroom in one minute," she said, trying to hold back the giggles threatening to spill out again. "I can help him."
