She couldn't believe how awful her life was.

Ginny Weasley was going to her fifth year at Hogwarts in precisely two months. Normally she would have been excited; fifth year was officially the year where you were considered mature, a real teenager. It was the year of prefects. The year that seemed loads closer to graduation than fourth year. But instead of joy fluttering in her stomach, rage and anger stung her chest like a wasp. Recently she had sent a letter to Harry, and a reply was sent back. The reply was depressing it causedher to throw things in her wretchedness. The simplicity was an awful elaborate creation in her eyes. So many meanings that were all negative were inferred from it.

Dear Ginny,

It was nice to hear from you. I can't say that I really like you as much as you like me, but you are a nice person though. Please don't take this the wrong way.

Harry

"DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY MY BUTT!"

She threw her heavy textbook across the room in a huff. It smashed into her lamp, shattering it in hundreds of pieces. She picked up the letter out of her garbage can and ripped it into countless pieces, and watched them float to the floor with a moment of satisfaction. It's funny how emotions can pass so quickly in your teenager years. Also known as hormones. She continued to throw things angrily, until she heard a soft knock on the door. Her stomach dropped as she saw the door slowly opening.

"What is it?" Ginny barked at the door. Ronald Weasley stepped into her room and took a look around. His mouth was slightly open when his eyes wandered to Ginny.

"What's up?"

"What do you mean, 'what's up'," Ginny spat. She had neither time nor patience for Ron's little games.

"Well, gee, it's not everyday that you throw stuff and make a ruckus. What's the matter? You know you can always tell me." Ron walked over and gently embraced her with one arm. She shoved his arm away, and collapsed on her bed with an exasperated sigh. An anguished tear slid down her beet-red face. Ron watched her intently. He was at a loss of words.

"Ron, look at this." Ginny mended the scraps of paper with her wand. She shoved it into his right hand aggressively. Ron struggled to read the cracked paper. After a minute of struggling, he looked up at her with sympathy.

"Ginny, did you send him a letter again?"

"Well, duh. And obviously it was a waste of my time."

"Gin, you know what Harry is going through. You can't expect him to deal with you at this time in his life. He's the Boy Who Lived. The guy who conquered You-Know-Who? Ring a bell? He's probably really worked up right now."

"Gee, who else would know what it's like to be, to be possessed by Voldemort?" The vile sarcasm in her voice made Ron wince. Then he suddenly remembered the ordeal she had had in second year. How could he have forgotten?

"Yeah, well that was only once," he said softly.

"One time too many," she snapped back at him. There was a moment of silence.

"Sorry I have been of no use. I guess I'll just leave." He hesitated, and then shuffled out of the minuscule room reluctantly. Well, he had tried. He decided he would tell Mum and let her sort this out.

Ginny sat for a moment, collecting her thoughts, and then she exploded again. Nobody could understand her, not even Ron. This time she threw her History of Magic book at the window. It crashed though, and thudded about thirty feet down. She broke down in a flood of tears and dug her face in her pillow. She cried for what seemed like three hours. And then she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Please, stop crying honey," said a soft and an oddly familiar voice. It was a younger version of her mother's it seemed, but with a different air. Ron had probably told Mum about her behavior. Ginny took her tear-stained face off of the squishy pillow out of curiosity of the outlandish air in her voice and gasped. There was a beautiful young lady sitting on her bed. Her red hair cascaded down her sleek shoulders and went down to her waist. Her legs were slim and smooth. Her brown eyes were alive and bright. Her freckles were faint but not few. The dress she wore was midnight blue and sparkly. It ruffled just below her knees. Spaghetti straps revealed her freckled shoulders. She looked like one of the models in Witch Weekly!

"WHO ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU HERE? RON! DAD! MOM!" Ginny would have continued with the other two Weasleys who were home currently, Fred and George, but the lady clapped her hand over Ginny's mouth. Ginny was horrified. Who was this lady? Was she a Death Eater? Was she seeking Harry? No, Ginny would never tell, even after that letter. She would die with the secret. Harry was at the Dursleys as usual.

"I'LL NEVER TELL YOU WHERE HE IS!" she shouted worming away from the lady's hand. With dexterity, the lady clapped her hand over Ginny's mouth again.

"Ginny, please let me explain. I will not hurt you. Do you trust me? Look, I have no wand." The gorgeous lady tossed her wand to the corner. How did she know Ginny's name? Ginny looked over at her Sneakoscope, but it sat on her wardrobe as still as a statue. Her Sneakoscope had never failed her. Ginny was reluctant, but finally nodded. The lady removed her hand from Ginny straight away.

"Who are you?" Ginny croaked.

"Ginny, I know this may seem crazy, but I am your future self."
