The Bet

"The Bet--Part Nine--CAT FIGHT!!!!"

Ron pulled away from Hermione with a gasp. "What are you doing?" he asked her.

"Bribing you," she said with a coy smile.

"What?"

"I want revenge on Lavender. I don't know why she's all pissy, and I don't know why she's made Neville cheat on me to win some silly bet, but I have a plan. And I need your help."

"With what?"

"You get in on this bet. And you win it. Leave getting the girls to me. I can take care of that. And you will win."

"And what's in it for me?" he said, raising a brow.

"This brings us back to the aforementioned bribery," she said and kissed him again. "Do we have a deal?"

With a small moan, Ron answered, "yes."

-Scene Change-

Hermione entered her dorm room to find Lavender and Parvati sitting on the bed, talking between themselves. They looked up at her as she entered. She was fuming at them.

"YOU!" Hermione growled.

"Um, Herms, you're looking a bit upset, maybe you should calm down..." Parvati started. But she didn't get a chance to finish. With a deep throaty grunt, Hermione jumped on Lavender, dragged her to the floor, and proceeded to pummel the poor girl with her fists.

"You bitch!" Hermione screamed.

"Me?" Lavender managed to yell through the fists. "What did I ever do to you?"

"You made Neville cheat on me!"

Apparently, Hermione and Lavender had been screaming really loudly, because Harry poked his head in the door.

"Hey, what's going on in here, ladies?" he began. "Oh! CAT FIGHT!" he screamed after seeing the feuding females.

Students ran and gathered at the door to watch the girls. After a few moments, though, the voice of an older woman could be heard. Parvati, who had cowered in the corner, looked up to see Professor McGonagall enter and pull Hermione and Lavender apart.

"Girls, I think I need to see you in my office."

-Scene Change-

"Girls, what in Merlin's name happened."

"I don't know! That bitch just came in and started hitting me!" Lavender started.

"Watch your language."

"Yes, ma'am," Lavender grumbled.

"Now, Miss Granger, why did you hit her?"

"Because. She made Neville cheat on me!"

"How did she make him cheat on you?"

"She put him in that bet!"

"What bet?"

"These boys have a bet going to see who can sleep with the most girls. And apparently, Lavender wanted revenge on them, and she got Neville to enter into this thing and she's been making him sleep with every girl in the entire school so that he'll win."

"Which boys are in this bet? They will be punished!"

"I don't know. No one will tell me."

"I'm not sure. Neville's the only one I know about. Ask Lavender."

"I'm not telling," Lavender piped up.

Professor McGonagall sighed. Apparently, she was wasting her time trying to get information from these two. "Fine, fifty points from Gryffindor each. And you have a week of detentions. Go back to your dorms."

-Scene Change-

Back in their dorm, Lavender and Hermione sat glaring at each other.

"Bitch," Hermione spat.

"Bigger bitch," Lavender shouted.

"Girls, please, can't we just talk this out?" Parvati pleaded.

"Yeah, we can talk about why she used my boyfriend to get her petty little revenge. I don't even know who she was getting revenge on!"

"RON!" Lavender shouted.

"What?" Hermione asked quietly.

"I was trying to get revenge on Ron. He slept with me as part of that stupid bet, and then he never talked to me again."

"Ron was already in on this bet?" Hermione asked.

"Yes. Why?"

"Because I asked him if he was, and he said no."

"Well, he lied to you."

"Lavender, I think you and I need to put our heads together," Hermione said with an evil grin on her face.
