The Potter Twins and the Coming of Age

Chapter One: Receiving "Dream Mail"

"Let us take her home with us, Dr. Sullivan. Let her die at home."

The young, red-headed woman held two babies in her arms, weeping, as her husband talked to the doctor.

"I'm very sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Potter. She has to stay here- there's a few other treatments we can try to help her with. I can't promise anything, though."

"Hurry up, then! I can't stand to see Jaquilene like this! She used to be so happy!"

The woman began sobbing again, alarming the baby that wasn't weak and drained of energy.

"Jacqui no okay?"

"That's right, Harry. Jacquilene's not okay. We're not sure if' she'll ever be herself again." James Potter took the ill, energy deprived, baby girl into his arms. "Lily, I don't think any one can stand to see her like this. Even Harry can tell that she's not her usual self." He tugged at one of Jacquilene's beautiful, dark red curls. "I'm so sorry, Jacquilene.I wish everything was different.."

"James, we all wish that she'd live," Lily Potter stood up, letting her son, Harry, walking around the hospital bed, as his father put his sister in the stiff bed.

"No go home for Jacqui?"

"Yes, Harry. Jacqui can't come home."

"No," a young, weak but clear voice came from Jacqui Potter's mouth. "I wanna go home!!"

She closed her eyes and let her muscles relax for a second.

"That's the only thing she's said for a week, James."

"Mommy, I wanna go home!!!"

"We can't possibly take you home. You'll be fine here."

"You should be able to take her tomorrow."

Fact was that that evening Harry and Jacqui Potter's lives changed and went into different ways than planned. Jacqui was sent to live with her godfather's girlfriend, Ashleigh Mann, and she started to attend Williamson Military Academy for Magic with her godsister/soulsister, Abbei Black. Harry, on the other hand, lived a very unhappy childhood with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. When he found out about his true past, he was sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Abbei, we've got to stay hidden! Those Death Eaters will kill us both if they find us!"

"No duh, Jax! They want us dead, you dumbass!"

"Well, there he is," Jaquilene shook her long mane of dark red curls off of her shoulders. "Him. Harry. It doesn't seem like he knows we exist. It's not right- we were so close. I remember the evening Mum and Dad died. He was begging them to take me home. O my gosh, it's the Dark Mark! Come this way, Abbei.WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

"YOU JUST SAID STAY HIDDEN!!!"

"SHUT UP! WE HAVE TO GET BACK TO THE TENT!"

Cho Chang and Angelina Johnson walked into Cadet General Jacquilene Potter's private bedroom, and woke the pretty fourteen year old.

"Jax, I'm so sorry, but Cedric- he died in the last task."

"What are you doing here, Cho? Angelina?"

"Jax, listen- Voldemort- Harry says he's back- Voldemort, the bastard, he killed Cedric!!!!"

"WHAT???!!! MY CEDRIC IS DEAD!? WHAT ABOUT THAT DAMNED BROTHER OF MINE?!"

"He's unconscious, but as for Cedric, he really is dead. He wanted you to have this stuff," Cho sat the heavy wooden keepsake box on Jacquilene's bed.
