Destiny Finds a Way

With the Dark Lord defeated and their time at Hogwarts over, the trio is faced with a new sort of challenge: making it in a word they haven't yet fully grasped. It is even more difficult for the famous Harry Potter. Will he finally attain the closure he has been seeking from all he has lost in long battle against Voldemort? Will old friendships finally progress into something more? Can destiny truly find a way? ...Or will Harry's inherent short-sightedness hinder him once again?

Fast forward to two years after the graduation of the trio from Hogwarts. They have jobs and separate lives. Their dreams are unfolding in front of them but Harry feels somewhat incomplete ever since he lost Liz. But when an anonymous piece of post finds its way into his hands... has trouble found him again at long last?

Practice for the team's next big game has formally begun. Odwin has sacked all his ridiculous forms of skill enhancement and has actually struck gold in his new form of strategy. The team is flying better than they ever dreamed. But when an unexpected guest comes to watch a practice, Harry is turned upside down with riddled emotions and forgotten pains have begun to resurface. Is there a hidden meaning behind this visit?

Harry spends his free day before the match with Ron in Diagon Alley. But this may not be the good idea that they thought it would be. Or is it?

When Hermione comes over for dinner as promised, Harry begins to see her in a different light. Love seems to be giving him a second chance... but it doesn't come cheap or easy. After a terrifyingly close Quidditch accident, Harry comes home shaken and exhausted only to find more pain in store for him as he enters his home and finds a visitor that he has never associated with more ironies in his life. but ironical realizations is not all this visitor brings...

Morning brings Harry back to his senses as Ron reminds him that a certain someone should've come by the night before. Harry rushes to apologize to a surprisingly aloof Hermione. Lupin pays a visit of his own about his wedding and joins Harry and Hermione for dinner where things escalate as Harry's temper once again gets the better of him. The night was never filled with more oddities.

This is a flashback chapter, answering the questions about Luna's demise, what happened before this cruel twist of fate and how Harry had been dealing with it all this time.

Hermione takes Harry to the Ministry of Magic to help him tie up a few loose ends, but he gets so much more than he ever bargained for. Old foes make appearances, old issues are brought back to the surface, feelings are realized, knowledge and understanding gained, and hopes of acceptance bloom once more.

After Hermione takes Harry to the Ministry, she somehow persuades him to take a walk with her. What comes next is another flurry of shocking revelations and Harry realizes he isn't so alone with his burders as he once thought.

Hermione reflects on how her life has been turned upside down ever since she tried letting love back in again. There's intrigue, there's drama but above all there's hurt and betrayal. Will all this pain drive her into the arms of another?
