- Um, here's the second chapter and I'm sure that eventually I will post all of the current ten chapters that are on ff.net. I do hope you all like this chapter and to those who have reviewed already, I can assure you that you will be in for surprises in the next couple of chapters. Not to mention there will be slight delays as I have to be own beta reader. -.-
Lanae settled down on the large four poster bed covered in emerald sheets, her eyes wandering over the room that Dumbledore had given Louis and her. All she could think of was Ginny Weasley and her prick brother Ron. Rolling over onto her side she bit her lip trying to think of what she could do for the next three hours until her grand-father came to pick Louis and her up to take them to tour Hogwarts with him.
"Lanae? Hey, want to come to that place we saw called 'The Three Broomsticks?' I remember seeing that girl Ginny and her 'prick' brother go in there." Louis leaned against the doorway to Lanae's small temporary bedroom. He had taken a quick shower making his usually unruly black hair lay flat against his skull like a helmet. Lanae sat up slowly, her eyes going to her brother as she slowly nodded. Louis smiled and shut the door to her room to give her privacy to dress, change, do whatever while he waited by the front door.
"I wonder...no...he'll know where we'll be...yea.." She mumbled an abstract thought as she walked around the room slipping off and on clothes. When she finally finished getting dressed she went to meet her brother as they walked out of the place where they were staying for the month or so until school began.
The place that Louis had spoken of was to their left as they had just left Hog's Head. Lanae kept her eyes to the sky as they walked along the road, finally reaching the cool pub. Her eyes instantly scanned the people inside for Ginny and who surrounded her. A smile curved her pale pink lips as she instantly made for Ginny who was moving to go to the bathroom like a spider after a fly stuck in it's web. It would be comical to watch if there hadn't been the brother moving like a charging hippo after Lanae.
"Get away from my sister this instant." Ron breathed down Lanae's neck making her eyes widen and face tighten before she spun to face him.
"It is a free country-no wait...that's not right...it isn't America...damn. Well I'm free to go to the bathroom also, Ron is it? So get your little nose out of my business." Lanae spun on her heel and disappeared into the bathroom, Ron left fuming behind her. Louis could only snicker as he took a seat at a table near where Ron took a seat next to two red head twins and the odd boy with black hair.
Lanae looked about the small bathroom, her eyes instantly landing on the stall where she saw a red head pop up. She quickly leaned against the stall door next to it, her eyes relaxing as Ginny stepped out of the stall.
"Hello Ginny. How are you?" Ginny spun to face Lanae as her eyes widened while she jumped back, her back landing against the stall wall.
"Lanae! What...what are you doing here?!" Ginny swallowed thickly, Lanae stepping forward and brushing Ginny's face as her lips moved nearer to Ginny's trembling ones. Lanae slowly let her lips fall over Ginny's as she let her lips warm Ginny's. Lanae then moved forward more, her arms wrapping around Ginny while her lips pressed slightly harder to Ginny's. Lanae freed one of her hands and shut the stall door, locking it before pulling her lips away from Ginny's letting them trail down her pale neck.
"Ginny...you are so very beautiful...yet innocent." Lanae pulled her lips back from where she had been nibbling and making a good sized hickey. She then unlocked the stall and breezed out of the bathroom, ignoring the looks of the two witches who were also in there.
"Lanae! There you are! I ordered us some butterbeer! Come on over!" Louis stood up and waved to Lanae who ran over, turning her head to face Ron who glared at her. She placed her middle finger under her right eye, pulling the eyelid down slightly and sticking her tongue out before plopping down in a seat next to Louis. As Ginny took her seat next to Harry and the twins, Ron gave a loud yell as his eyes stayed trained on her neck.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT GINNY?!" Ron stood up, his right pointer finger pointed straight at the red hickey that lay low on Ginny's collarbone. It was like a red beacon that made the two twins grin and turn slowly to Lanae who was sipping her butterbeer. Ron spun to face Lanae, his face was as red as his hair making it look like steam was going to spout out of his ears.
"Ron-no-it's nothing it-"
"WHAT IN HELL DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER?" Ron roared as he glared at Lanae who finally noticed him, her butterbeer being set down. She stood slowly, the same power that one would feel from Dumbledore being felt faintly from her as she pulled out her wand, letting it stay pointed on the floor.
"I did nothing but show my love for her. Do you have a problem with your sister getting something that you're obviously not getting?" Lanae let a smirk fall from her lips as she pulled her wand up to set it on the table. Louis glanced at her, the two seeming to converse in just looking at each other before Lanae spun to go.
"Get back here...you tell me what you did to her or I'll hex you." Ron clenched his hands into fists as he glared at Lanae who spun to face him again.
"Hex me?" Lanae gave a sharp laugh as she threw her head back before pulling her wand out and setting it on Ron who seemed to relax suddenly under it. "I very much doubt that you could hex me. Now if you would be so kind to just shut up, my twin and I are leaving. You will not have to worry you ignorant pompous fool of a man." Lanae quickly spun and ran out of the pub, Louis following close on her heels as they ran back to Hog's Head and up to their rooms.
-Two Hours Later-
Dumbledore stood outside Hog's head for his two grandchildren, his face calm as a twinkle crept into his eyes. He could only hold back a slight smile as he heard the two clatter on down and outside.
"Damn you Louis! I said wake me up before he got here! I need a drink..." Lanae stumbled outside, yawning and stretching having already changed and taken her make-up off. She was now in a black T-shirt that had 'I'm Naked!' on it and a picture of a robot thing. A muggle cartoon obviously and in America.
"I did. You threw a shoe at me so I left. If you weren't so bitchy when you wake up I would have went in further and dragged you out." Louis walked ahead of Lanae, also having changed. He was now in a black shirt with a sponge on it and the words, 'Spongebob Squarepants!' written across it. The two were wearing matching pairs of tight blue jeans that flared at the bottom.
"Lanae! Louis! There you are! And you've changed...good. Now are you two ready to come and take a tour of Hogwarts?" Dumbledore smiled as he moved back letting the two shrug in unison before climbing into the carriage after Dumbledore. Lanae propped her chin up in her right hand as she stared out the window, sighing as she saw all the pretty yet older witches walking about. Louis stared out the opposite window in the same position but he sighed as he saw all the handsome wizards walking about. Dumbledore took glances at his grandchildren, seeing how they were both sighing about the same thing just in different genders.
"Grandfather...why did you invite Louis and I to your school for the year just when You-Know-Who has risen?" Lanae turned to face Dumbledore, her brown eyes curious yet somewhat intimidating.
"Well...since The Dark Lord has risen, I was frightened for your safety over in America even though it is known that he would rarely go out of the country. Your parents will be safe over there thankfully, they have gone into hiding. And since my school is a very safe place, you two will be staying here for the entire school year. That is why Lanae." Lanae sighed heavily turning back to the window, her face going lax as she lapsed into deep thought. Dumbledore only turned his head back front, occasionally turning to check on Louis and Lanae.
The carriage pulled to a stop in fount of Hogwarts as Lanae and Louis climbed out, their mouths dropping open as they took in the sight of the large castle and grounds.
"Oh...my god...this place is huge! Louis! Look! A Quidditch field!" Lanae clutched her twin's right arm pointing frantically toward the field which sat far off from where they were. Dumbledore smiled as he walked in front of them and climbing the stairs to the front doors of the castle.
"Lanae, Louis. Come along now. We've much to do." Lanae and Louis both turned from their gawking and rushed up to Dumbledore as the doors opened. A few students were at Hogwarts along with all of the professors. The few students who were there had parents who were worried for their safety and in turn let them go under Dumbledore's protective wing. The group of three went first to the great hall where the students were scattered around the room along with a few of the professors who were helping a few select students.
"WOW! That is so freaking cool! Look at that ceiling Louis!" Lanae nearly screamed with delight, the few people in the room looking up to see her and Louis staring awed at the enchanted ceiling. Dumbledore smiled slightly at his grand-children's antics before he tugged them along to the first professor who stood near them. Professor Snape backed slightly away, trying to get away from Dumbledore who had a twinkle in his eye that Snape did not like.
"Ah! Severus. I would like you to meet my two grand-children. They're here on a tour until they come for the entire year. Lanae, Louis. This is the potions master at Hogwarts, Professor Snape." Dumbledore gestured toward the tall man as Lanae and Louis both turned their identical gazes on him. Louis's eyes widened as his mouth dropped slightly. Lanae only smirked as she seemed to look into Snape's soul.
"Morning-I mean afternoon Professor Snape. I'm Lanae Juneau." Lane stuck out her right hand, a smirk playing on her lips as Snape just looked at her hand then back at her face. At that moment however Louis broke the tense silence with a question that shook the other three.
"How old are you exactly Professor? Because you look pretty damn good for maybe a twenty-nine-year-old." Lanae choked on a laugh, her arms wrapping around her stomach as she broke into laughter. Louis just blinked and stared at Snape who spun on his heels and stalked off, his robes hitting Lanae in the face making her curse in rage.
"God Louis! What kind of question was that? The guy was at least thirty-three or something...proberly went here in the 70's. And you scared him off with your remark damn it." Lanae leaned on Louis who shrugged in confusion. He really had no idea why that remark would scare off the guy. A few people who were near were also in laughter as Dumbledore smiled moving along and introducing them to the rest of the teachers in the room.
"I teach Transfiguration. I am also head of Gryffindor. I trust you will give them time to learn the basics Albus?" Professor McGonagall looked over the pair of twins who were looking about in rapt awe at the surroundings.
"Oh you needn't worry about that Minerva. I've had them studying since they turned eleven. They've been going to a muggle high school in America. Let them be with others their age. Some might be witches and wizards and not know it. You know they have to be at least sixteen to get into the American school of wizardry." Dumbledore smiled gently as he brushed Lanae and Louis toward the next teacher who was near, Professor Sprout. Dumbledore gently tapped her shoulder as she rose and turned from the stout boy she was helping.
"Neville, you continue to work on that scroll. Soon you'll be finished. Ah Albus! Are these the two grand-children you told us about?" Professor Sprout looked over the two twins much like McGonagall had done although she was checking to see if they could excel in Herbology. And of course to see if either of them looked like a Hufflepuff.
"Yes they are. May I introduce Lanae and Louis. Twins. They'll be in your class of course." The two smiled at Professor Sprout politely before turning their attention toward the students. Louis's eyes were latched onto a tall boy with dreadlocks who was talking quickly with another boy. Lanae's eyes were nearly boring into a pretty girl with black hair.
"Mmm. I see. Well I must get back to Neville." Dumbledore gently led the two out of the hall, their heads turned around to watch the two people.
"So cute...must get to know...." Lanae turned fully on one foot in an almost silly ballet spin as she stared at the pretty girl with black hair.
"Such long hair...such such long hair. Plenty to grab...must talk to...must get close too..." Louis did the same as his twin except he stared at the boy with the dreadlocks who was laughing at a joke the other boy had told.
"Lanae. Louis. Ah! I see you have noticed two of the 6th years. Cho Chang and Lee Jordan. You can stare later, we must get going." Dumbledore noticed the two were rooted to the spot staring at the other two students as she gave a shake of his head. With a quick wave of his wand, he levitated them far enough away until they couldn't see the hall anymore. Of course since they no longer could see Cho and Lee, they promptly fell to the floor in a tangle of limbs.
-3 hours Later-
"Oi! I am never going to let grandfather show us around his school again...3 hours to tour the whole damn grounds and school!" Lanae huffed as she pulled out the spaghetti O's that she had been so thoughtful to bring. As they began to heat up in the small magical microwave, Lanae raved to Louis about the girl Cho she saw as Louis did the same except it was about the boy, Lee that he had seen. The two stopped babbling, taking curious glances at each other before erupting into laughter.
"Can't wait till we go there this year! I get two girls to hit on! Ginny and Cho! Actually I'm not sure if Cho will even like me...Hmm...oh well. I'll woo her anyway!" Lanae grinned impish like while pouring the spaghetti O's into two bowls. The two twins sat down on a large broken in couch as they watched the people down below move about.
"Well, I might try and see if those two twins we saw before with that Ginny girl would be interested. And there's that Lee Jordan guy...three guys..." Louis lapsed into a shallow fantasy of the three boys and him as Lanae wrinkled her nose in slight frustration.
"No fair! I want a pair of twins too! Humph! You get three and all I get is a girl a year younger and a girl a year older...I want some twins..." She promptly set down her empty bowl as she stalked to the large picture window. As she gazed down through the crowd she saw the girl Ginny, her eyes finally and for once, moving to the boy with the black hair and the weird scar. It finally registered in her sex driven mind that the boy was someone famous. But the name! She couldn't remember his name!
"Yo, Lanae, you alright? You look like your brain's about to explode from the lack of sex." Louis instantly regretted his last remark which was slightly satirical. He couldn't talk of course, the boy spent most of his time fantasizing about the past few boyfriends he had. When his twin turned her burning eyes on him, he felt as if she was really burning him. Curiously he was burning only near his ankles...he lowered his eyes in defeat to his ankles suddenly realizing they were on fire!
"Ah! Oh-" Louis let out a string of swear words so fierce they would have made a sailor proud. They at least made Lanae proud. She hadn't pissed her twin off this much since last summer when she had gotten him drunk and made him run around the block in his cute little red speedo. Although there were drawbacks to hurting her twin like this. She always received the same pain as him causing the fun to be cut short. With a quick wave of her hand, the cup of water on the table near him splashed onto his smoking feet.
"Now that is what you get for insulting me. Ah don't look at me like that. It was a cold fire. Doesn't cause your skin to burn or anything. Just makes ya feel like crap." Lanae backed away, grinning nervously as her twin advanced on her. She kept babbling apologies and excuses right up to when Louis tackled her to the floor. Of course like before, they wrestled until their hands could only move in feeble attempts to hit each other. They fell asleep like that, curled together and panting.
-August 1, 10:30 am-
A loud curse rang through the small flat style apartment causing Louis to jerk awake. He was lying in a pool of his own drool in front of the large picture window. As he looked about for the source of the loud yell, his eyes fluttered shut again as he fell right back to sleep.
"Damn it! Damn cold water...I just wanted some hot water!-Ah! There it goes! Stupid shower." Lanae glared at the shower head that was now pouring hot enough water that it began to fill the bathroom with steam. With a quick flourish, Lanae dropped the towel she held and climbed into the now warm water to take a shower before trying to figure what to do for an entire month.
-Skip Ahead to September 1, 12pm, Hog's head-
"Well, we're ready at least. Come on, we can walk on up to Hogwarts..." Lanae trailed off as she tugged Louis on out of Hog's head and past a card game going on. Lanae sighed as she threw out the one line that she knew would make Louis eager to go. "We can see your Lee Jordan there early..." Louis's eyes widened as he quickly took over the tugging, the two walking up the road to the large castle in the distance.
"We're off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Hogwarts! He'll give my friends a heart, courage, and a brain to me!" Louis sang cheerfully as he walked ahead of Lanae who was only looking at her brother with a look that could be described as both amusement and concern.
"Should not have given him that sugar. No no, bad idea Lanae. Very bad idea Lanae." The two had changed into slightly better clothes, their black robes that they had traveled to Diagon Alley to buy were drawn around them but they couldn't obscure their weird outfits. Lanae had slipped on a black shirt that had white words scribbled across it spelling out, 'The Leprechauns are after me!' When the robe fluttered up one could see a very evil leprechaun leering out on the back of her shirt holding a box of Lucky Charms. The red text above the picture read, 'Here's Lucky!' She wore tight black pants tucked into her black combat boots that she had dragged Louis to help buy in Muggle London.
Louis wore a white T-shirt with a picture of a cow on it and the words, 'I wanna kick a cow!' written in black scribble above it. He wore equally tight black pants that were tucked into black dragon-hide boots that he had thought to buy in Diagon Alley. His black robes were draped across him but even if they did flutter up there was nothing on the back of his shirt. The two wore mirrored sunglasses over their eyes and had spiked their hair. Lanae's hung to her shoulders in razor sharp strings. Louis's was spiked up in small spikes all over his head while a black necklace with a tiny ring on it hung about his neck.
"A brain a brain! I'll finally get the brain I need and want! Oh wonderful wizard of Hogwarts, I pray you'll be the one to give me a brain for my head's empty now. Little spiders are weaving webs in it! I need a brain oh wonderful wizard of Hogwarts! I-" Louis took a deep breath, pausing in mid-step and much to the amusement of everyone who was listening he bellowed out, "NOW FOR THE FLYING MONKEYS! THE MUNCHKINS! COME FORTH!"
Lanae quickly dragged Louis on down the road, past the tracks where the Hogwarts Express rode on, and onto the dirt road that led up to the castle. Louis quit singing and took to humming the Wizard of Oz/Hogwarts song under his breath. When the two had finally reached the castle, they creaked open the doors only to have them thrown open and the boy Neville run out. He seemed to be chasing a small toad that was croaking as it jumped away.
"Trevor! Come here Trevor!" The two twins raised up onto their elbows as they glared at the portly boy before they walked on into the castle, heading for their grand-father's office. While they made their way on up to his office the two twins thoughts wandered. They had been told only that they would be staying at school and would be sorted into houses. But what if they ended up in separate houses? What then? The very thought of being separated from Louis made Lanae shiver with fear and bristle in anger. Finally the two reached the office, cocking their heads at the gargoyle who stood in their path.
"Move! You piece of stone crap. Argh...what did grand-father say his password was again?" Lanae turned to Louis who snapped out of his thoughts mumbling, 'Something about candy' before staring off into space once again.
"Candy...I know! Reeses pieces! Huh? Fine!" Lanae then spat out all the names of candies she knew, finally reaching the wizard candies, as soon as she blurted out "Chocolate Frog", the gargoyle hopped aside. Lanae gave it a swift kick before hopping up the stairs in pain while Louis lagged behind laughing his arse off.
