He's witty, he's brilliant, he's brave, he's--

"Mr. Harry Potter! I am brilliant, and I will solve all your cases for free, except for er... Ah, yes, a two galleon donation to the Potter for President Society!"

A small boy by the name of Colin Creevey approached Harry, who was prancing around on the large couch in the Gryffindor common room.

"Did you say any case?" Colin asked eagerly.

"Yes, I did young lad!" Harry exclaimed, flapping his arms like a butterfly.

"Any?"

"Yep."

"Any?"

"Yup."

"Any?"

"Uh, I'm not sure... Yes, right, Yes!"

"Any?"

"You got my point! What do you want me to do?" Harry leapt down from the couch, upsetting a vase, and nearly crashed into a huddle of second-years who were studying.

"Well, first, there's--

"Two Galleons?" Harry questioned, pulling Colin's bookbag away from him and began to furiously dig through it.

Colin pulled it back with some force, and shook his head. "Don't you want to hear my case first?"

"Two Galleons my boy, then we will talk."

"But--

"Show me the money, or I'll show you the wand."

"Oh, all right..." Colin reached into his pocket and pulled out two golden coins, and Harry grabbed it away. The detective jumped up and down, whooping over the money. This time, he did crash into the second-years.

"Can you hear my case now, Harry?" the impatient Colin asked.

"Be patient little grasshopper, I will talk with you tomorrow. Got to show these two coins to Ronniekins!"

With that, Harry bunny-hopped up to the fifth-year boy's dormitory, leaving Colin to deal with the menacing glares of the once studying second-years.

In the bustling Great Hall the next morning, Colin sat, not eating, impatiently waiting for the arrival of Harry.

His brother Dennis stared at him perplexingly, trying to shove a large piece of toast into Colin's closed tight mouth.

"Colin, Colin, you all right?"

"I would be, if Harry--. Harry, hey Harry! Over here Harry!"

The distinct figure of Harry Potter appeared at the edge of the Gryffindor table, casually talking with Dean Thomas and Ron Weasley.

"Harry, when are you going to help me?"

Harry coughed loudly several times, and jugged on a large carton of orange juice. "What you say now little boy?"

"I'm fifteen."

"Well, I guess so," Harry said, scratching his head. "Anyway, what do you want?"

"You said yesterday that you'll help me on a case," Colin answered. "Remember?"

"Oh, yeah. First, two Galleons please."

Colin was flabbergasted. "I gave you two Galleons already," he said through gritted teeth.

"I did?" Harry said, puzzled. "I don't remember that. You must be pulling my leg Colin."

"I am not!"

"Prove it mister." Harry did not look like he was paying much attention. He was busy ruffling through Ron's hair, kicking him hard in the shins repeatedly (even though Ron was busily protesting, yelling every couple of seconds).

"Well, er... Oh yeah! Last night, you showed Ron the Galleons, right? Ron, he did, right?" Colin jumped up and down eagerly, he was going to defy Harry Potter!

"Hey hey hey," Harry spoke up, shoving his hand in front of Colin's face. "Hold it there Scruffy. Those two Galleons were the ones I found in the fireplace. Right Ronnie?" He had stopped torturing his friend and was patting him on his head like a dog.

Ron shrugged his shoulders. "Er, um, hm... Well, I don't remember you showing me ships yesterday. Oh yeah! You were riding that big Durmstrang ship and I was the pirate that bombed you! Remember Harry? Vroom, vroom, vroom!"

"Ron," Harry said in the corner of his mouth, "I told you. That stuff is private and shall it will never be know to the public!"

"Yes, whatever. Anyway, what are Galleons then?"

"You know, gold?"

"Ohhhhhhh. That kind of Galleon! Don't really know those you know. When mum gives me money, it's usually chocolate..."

"I showed you them, and told you I found them on the couch, right?" Harry questioned, patting Ron's puffy red hair.

"Wait a minute," Colin spoke up, "you said you found them near the fireplace!"

"Er, well, both are the same, right? They make people happy!"

"Yeah, I remember you showed them to me Harry," Ron said, "but I thought you said you stole them from some loser downstairs. Told me it was as easy as taking a chocolate frog from a Neville Longbottom!"

"What! Listen Harry, I never want to hear myself compared to a chocolate frog!" Colin screamed, upsetting a carton of pumpkin juice.

"I wasn't comparing you to the chocolate frog Colin," Harry objected, "I was comparing you to the 'from'."

"Aren't you comparing it to the Neville?" Ron suggested.

"Enough talking about this. I need you to solve a case, and you'll solve it for me right now because I already gave you two galleons which you now said you didn't get. I hate to say it Mr. Harry, but you're a liar."

"How dare you call me a liar!" Harry fell on Ron's shoulders and started to cry for a minute, before he stopped and pulled out his wand. "I'll show you who's a liar! Stupid Pie!"

Ron gasped and Colin shut his eyes tight, but both were surprised when only small clouds of smoke came from Harry's wand.

"Uh, was that suppose to do anything?" Ron asked.

"I don't know," Harry said, "but this will do the trick. Allota Kedolla!"

Ron gasped again and Colin shut his eyes up tight, but again, only smoke came out of Harry's wand.

"Well," Harry muttered, slumping to the floor, "you win Colin. Yeah, I did lie and all that."

"So you'll help me solve my case?" Harrry asked eagerly.

"Yeah, sure why not. Meet in in the common room at seven o'clock sharp, okay mister?"

"Alrighty then."

At exactly seven o'clock that evening, Colin was in the common room, looking around, waiting for Harry. He finally saw him dancing with a couple of first years.

"Hey Harry, over here!" Dennis shouted, running over and grinning cheekily at Harry.

"What is it my boy?" Harry said warmly, continuing to dance.

"You promised you were going to help me. Did you forget?"

"Nope, I didn't."

"All right then, somebody--

"First, two Galleons please!"
