Hermione

Ghost

Story Summary:
My version of Hogwarts as a musical/play. Hermione overhears Ron and Harry talking about her, and she gets so angry that she joins Draco and his fellow Slytherins. She doesn't mind being called Mudblood as long as she gets to hex or curse Ron (and Harry with help from Draco) for life. Before Hermione fully transforms into a dark arts Mudblood, will Ron and Harry free her from the clutches of the Slytherins?

Chapter Three- Waltz for Ron and Hermione

Hermione said good night to Draco, and walked up to her Common Room. To her disappointment, Ron was waiting for her.

He looked at her, and stood up. He nodded. "Hermione," he said.

Hermione nodded at him, and attempted to go up to her room, but Ron grabbed her. "I need you tell me something," he said.

She sighed impatiently, and nodded. "But hurry it up, I'm tired, Weasel."

"Are you really leaving Harry and I, and going to the Slytherins?"

Hermione nodded. "Is there a problem with that?"

Ron nodded, and walked around her. "Tell me before I waltz out of your life, before turning my back on the past, forgive my impertinent behavior, but how long do you think this pantomime can last?" He twirled once, and faced her again. "Tell me before I ride off in the sunset, there's one I never got clear! How can you claim you're our Head Girl, when those who oppose you will be stepped on or cut up or mysteriously disappear!"

Hermione placed her hands on her hips, and glared at him. "Tell me before you get onto your bus, before joining the forgotten brigade! How can one person like me, say alter the time-honored way the game is played? Tell me before you get onto your high horse, just what you expect me to do? I don't care what the rest of the school says; I'm not in business for them, but to give all my new friends, a magical moment or two!"

Ron grabbed her and they began waltzing around the room. They both sang. "There is evil, ever around, fundamental! System of government quite incidental."

Hermione broke away. "So what are my chances of honest advances I'd say low. Better to win by admitting my sin than to lose with a halo."

"Tell me before I seek worthier pastures and thereby restore self-esteem: how can you be so short-sighted to look never further than this week or next week, to have no impossible dream?"

Hermione took a step closer to him, still glaring. "Allow me to help you slink off to the sidelines, I'll pay your fare give three cheers. But first tell me who'd be delighted to witness me talked the school's greatest problems from war to prejiduces, no hope of solution, even if I'm here for one more year?"

They waltzed around themselves, not once touching. "There is evil, ever around, fundamental! System of government quite incidental."

Finally they stopped, and Hermione pushed Ron away. "So go if you're able to somewhere unstable. And stay there! Whip up your hate in some tottering state, but not here, dear, is that clear, dear? "

Ron grabbed Hermione and they waltzed around the room again. As they waltzed in front of the fire hearth, she pushed him away and stared into the fire.

"Oh, what I'd give for another year! But my schooling and popularity interfere, everyday more, oh Weasel! What is the good of the strongest heart, in a body that's falling apart? A serious flaw, I hoped you know that," she snapped at him. She watched as he slowly crept back into the darkened shadows and disappear up to the boys' dormitories.
