~ Oliver's Obsession ~
"Oliver! Come down to dinner right now!"
"Just a minute mum!" Oliver called from his room.
"No, now Oliver Wood! No excuses!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Oliver slid down the banister and leaped off, landing with a thump.
"Now, Oliver, I told you not to slide down the banister," his mother said reproachfully.
"Sorry Mum, it's just so much fun!" Oliver pouted.
"No! Not the puppy face! No!" Oliver's sister, Ari, grinned at him. "Mum, don't be so harsh. Ollie here was just having fun."
"Ari, sliding down the banisters is not fun, it is dangerous!"
"Mum, let him have fun. No harm in that," Ari leaned down and ruffled his hair.
"Ari! Don't encourage him! Now, come to dinner, both of you." Mrs. Wood left to finish making dinner.
"Ari," Oliver looked up at his sister, "when will I get to go to Hogwarts?"
"Next year, Ollie, next year."
"Is it fun there?"
"Very fun. You will have such a great time."
"What house will I be sorted into?"
"Gryffindor hopefully. I was in it, Mum and Dad were, all our family were in it."
"Will I play Quidditch there?"
"I hope so. I did. Keeper is a great position. You do have to be a second- year to play in most cases, though sometimes you can make it earlier, but you'll make it, I'm sure."
"Didn't you bring the Gryffindor team victory every year, especially when you were captain?"
"Yes, Ollie. But I couldn't have done it without my team. Don't ever forget that. Your team is extremely important."
"I won't forget it, Ari. But tell me about winning the Quidditch Cup!"
"After dinner, Ollie, after dinner."
"Dinner!" Oliver rushed into the dining room as fast he as could.

"I'm tired!" Oliver announced. Dinner was over and Oliver, Ari and his other two siblings were sitting around the fireplace.
"Well, you would be after eating that much," his brother Liam chimed.
"Oh shut up you! Oliver would be tired. He's been jumping up and down the house all day, reciting random, I mean random facts about Quidditch," Oliver's other sister, Lina scolded, glaring at Oliver.
"Hey! I was just..." Oliver stammered.
"Leave him alone. He just likes Quidditch, though I can't say the same for you two," Ari glared at them.
"I'm going up to study," Lina said, breaking the silence.
"Me too," Liam followed her up the stairs.
"Don't mind them Ollie. They're just not into Quidditch as much you and I are. Now, I have to tell you something don't I?"
"Yeah! You have to tell me about how you won the Quidditch Cup!" Oliver jumped up and down with excitement.
"Sit down first. Good. Now you want the one of my seventh year, right?"
"Yeah!"
"Well now, it was the last game of the year, and against Slytherin at that. I was captain of the Gryffindor team. I got my team ready. Checked the conditions and went to the locker rooms. We put on our robes and I gave them my pep talk, I guess you would call it."
"What did you say?"
"I told them to be confident and do their best basically. Now do let me continue."
"Sure!" Oliver sat with rapt attention, listening to his sister recall the events of winning the Cup. When she had finished, Oliver clapped.
"Thank you," Ari bowed.
"I want to win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor when I go to Hogwarts next year!"
"If you work hard and make it on the team, I'm sure you will, Ollie," Ari ruffled his hair.

"Wood, Oliver," Professor McGonagall called. Oliver walked up to the Sorting Hat and put it on his head.
"Hmm... now where to put you? Plenty of ambition, a good mind, extremely brave. What do you say to GRYFFINDOR!" The Gryffindors clapped as Oliver joined his new housemates at the table.

"Our new Keeper is... Oliver Wood!"
"Yes!" Oliver shouted.
"Congratulations Oliver, you will join us for practice tomorrow," the captain said to him.

"We've won, we've won!" Katie, Alicia and Angelina shouted. Professor McGonagall was sobbing, and Gryffindors were howling. Oliver held the Cup in his hand, thinking "Ari, if you could only see me now. I won the Quidditch Cup!" Oliver handed it to Harry as tears streamed down his face.
