When Will They Get Together? 01

Chapter Summary:
Harry/Hermione fic! Great if you love to see Ron go mad over the smallest little thing! Absolutely wonderful! The best fic I've written! (Do you think that's overselling it a bit???)

Have fun...!

"Okay people. Hermione likes Harry. Harry likes Hermione. It's natural. It's bloody obvious! Why aren't they realising it? It's your job to make them realise it," said Ron fiercely.

"Oh Ron, they'll work it out eventually without our help. Let's just leave them to it. We might be holding up the process! Matchmaking is a serious issue - we could ruin the whole relationship!"

"Lavender, it's exactly that attitude that will make us fail!" Ron said in a voice like Percy Weasley's when something wasn't going right. In fact, he sounded a bit, well, mad. Lavender recoiled slightly. Why exactly was she going out with this madman? Then she remembered. As long as he wasn't in a strop he was really sweet. She looked up at the red-in-the-face person above her sighed. 'He'll be fine when we get off the subject...' she thought soothingly to herself.

"Ron, shut it would you? Just stop teasing them, ignore it and they'll get together before we know it."

"Seamus!!!!" Ron practically screamed.

"But-" started Dean, but a scuffling outside the door interrupted him. The room fell silent.

"What's going on in here?" asked a voice round the door - it was Harry, he looked around the room taking in the scene. Six fifth year Gryffindor's in all, and Ginny. There was Ron, Seamus, Neville, Lavender, Parvati, and Dean. "Did you scream Ron?"

"Er, no. Course not. That was er, Lavender. Saw a spider."

"A spider?" asked Harry with a smirk. "Are you sure it wasn't you Ron?" The rest of the Gryffindor's began to titter - they all knew Ron hated spiders. It was common knowledge for the whole tower, in fact.

"Yeah, well... shut up you lot!" shouted Ron, still with a bright red face.

"Can I ask why everyone's in our dormitory?"

"No reason!" piped up Neville in an unusually high voice.

"Oh... right. Well I need my Charms book, Hermione's teaching me to bewitch my spare quill. 'Scuse me, sorry Lavender, sorry!" Although their dormitory wasn't small, with eight people crowded in there it was a bit squashed. "Er, I'll go then." And he did.

"See Ron? They're doing fine by themselves!" said Dean.

"Oh, I give up. Fine. We'll leave them. Great. Just don't blame me when they never got together." Ron flung himself down on the bed, and the girls filtered out of the dormitory.

"Ron - that was a great cover story. Next time pick something that one of the girls is actually scared of," said Seamus as he walked out the door. Ron just growled in response.

"Err, Ron, you all right?" asked Dean quietly. When Ron got in one if these moods it would scare Lord Voldemort.

"Fine. Just go down to dinner." He replied shortly.

"Are you coming?"

"No."

With that, Ron turned over onto his stomach and closed the curtains round his bed. It looked like he was going to be in a grump for a while, so Dean motioned to Neville, and the two of them tiptoed out of the door. Ron just grunted.
