Chapter Fourteen

The prank

Blaise stared at Draco in disbelief. "You want me to tell you what!"

"You know very well what I'm asking for," Draco smirked, "and can probably tell twice what I ask."

"And what makes you think I . . ."

"Because you don't lie Blaise, and you wouldn't if your life depended on it! Now stop side stepping the question Blaishael! And give me a straight answer!"

"Zabini?" Blaise spun around to see a fifth year Gryffindor step around a pile of books.

"What do you want Grant?" Draco scowled. Blaise was about to repeat the question when he saw who accompanied her.

"Abigail!" Blaise swept over and picked up his little sister. "Where have you been?" The little girl grinned.

"I got lost," she explained, "and Miss Vati brought me to a room with big red chairs, and Miss Ginny gave me a cookie! Want some?" She held up a half-eaten chocolate chip cookie, and waved it in his face.

"No thanks." He waved it away.

"Vati?" Draco asked scrutinously.

"Parvati Patil," explained Grant. "Bye Abby!" She waved and disappeared around a bookshelf.

"Bye." Abigail waved back. "And Miss Rora told me a story, and she . . ."

Ginny finished her work and sat back smiling. If she could figure out that password, she had a feeling she could pull a prank to make the twins proud. It wasn't long before Arora came back.

"You'll never believe what their password is," she sighed, sitting down. Ginny only grinned. "Oh no your not . . ."

"This is what we're going to do." Arora groaned but listened patently anyway.

It was some time close to one thirty in the morning when the two girls stepped into the Slytherin common room. Grinning Ginny looked around.

"Who first?" she whispered.

"I don't know. I suggest we start with the first years and work our way up," answered Arora. Ginny nodded.

"Alright. If you get the Charm, I'll do the rest."

"Tell me again, why are we doing this?"

Ginny grinned as she lifted a bunch of school robes in the air with her wand. "Because today's laundry day. All their robes will be here. And with the forty-eight hour permanence charm, our little . . . ah . . .messages will be here Saturday when we all go to Hogsmead."

"That's not what I meant!" Ginny only shrugged, and finished implanting the words 'Ikle Firsti' on the back on the last few robes.

They slowly worked their way through the dorms leaving notes like 'I'm never right' (a fifth year girl who always had to be in charge) and 'if you're not out of my way you soon will be!' (A third year, who bowled every one over with out apology to get where he wanted to go).

There were other comments too. Tegiela Walker (head girl) ended up with 'possibly smartest Slytherin Ever' and a third year who played keeper had the words 'Nice Try' with the Quidditch hoops drawn underneath. Other comments included 'could have been in Ravenclaw' 'Why am I a Slytherin?' 'Make room for the big bad pure blood' and 'Daddy's little Angel.'

On the whole they had absolutely no problems until they stepped into the sixth year boy's dorm. Arora had just cast a sound sleep charm when there was a creak as the door began to open.

"Big Brother," a small voice whispered, "are you awake?"
