Chapter Eight: Revelations

Harry knocked on the Headmaster's door only once before getting permission to enter. He had been going out onto the ground with Remus and Hermione when a seventh year had come up to him and said Professor Dumbledore had wanted to see him.

Harry took a seat in front of the Headmaster's desk waiting for the old wizard to speak. He seemed to be engrossed with something he was reading. Harry waited patiently for five minutes before clearing his throat. Dumbledore still didn't look up. "Um, sir, you wanted to see me?" he said timidly.

The old man looked up. "What, oh yes, yes I wanted to see you, Harry," he said quickly rearranging some papers. "I was just wondering what you though of the assistant teachers I've hired." Harry blinked at him.

"Umm, well, they seem nice, I guess," Harry answered not sure how to respond. "Is that all? Remus came a few hours ago and I wanted to talk to him..."

"No, that is not all, but we will have to wait a few more minutes before you see what I really wanted you for," Dumbledore replied voice changing to a higher pitch and beard beginning to shorten.

"Sir," Harry started, but fell silent as the rest of the changes took place. Harry stared dumbstruck, mind in shock, for a second before rage took over.

"You," he spat vehemently.

"Yes, Potter, me," she said quietly standing advancing toward him. Harry quickly reached for his wand only to find hands hold him off the ground a second later, unable to move.

"Does it make sense now Potter?" (AN: it's not supposed to make sense to you just yet, though I'm sure you're guessing now.) "Do you now understand why "Dumbledore" had been acting so differently, all the assistant teachers, and all the sudden "transfer students?" Personally, I would have though you smart enough, or at least Granger, to figure it out by now. I didn't think revealing it to you, but Master was right. This is much better than you finding out on your own. I wanted to wait longer, but Master has grown impatient to take over and decided to move up the day of attack. The day he will finally have control over Hogwarts, and the entire wizarding world. You, Potter, will be helpless to stop it, and I do believe you have a major role to play in it," she whispered in his ear, her hot breath caressing his ear unpleasantly.

Harry met his godfather's killer gaze head on, rage burning in his eyes. "I will never help you or Voldemort get Hogwarts. Never," he spat voice colder than it ever had been and ever would be.

"I think you'll change your mind after a few threats," she whispered grinning crazily. She went back to the desk and opened one of the doors. Harry tried to struggle as he saw the filled syringe in her hand. "Aww, is Potter scared of shots? If you stay still it won't hurt that much, and then," she pushed needle under Harry's flesh, "you'll be out like a light." She injected the rest of sedative. Harry was trying his best to struggle, but the men holding him were much stronger.

His vision started going fuzzy and he began to get sleepy. "Don't resist the medicine, "Bellatrix whispered in his ear. Harry tried desperately to stay, but fell asleep listening to Bellatrix Lestrange whispering about how wonderful it would be once Voldemort had taken over, and the role he would play in it.

Albus Dumbledore walked weakly between his guards towards what he knew would be his last moments alive. It wasn't supposed to end this way. Voldemort wasn't supposed to win. Evil has supposed to be conquered and good triumph. He never would have though he would live to see the day when evil would win and all hope lost.

His blue grey eyes held no more of the twinkling that his students were so used to seeing. They were dull and completely lifeless, just as his body would be in a few hours.

Brian groggily opened his eyes and painfully sat up. That had been the worst beating ever. It had made his father's look like a playful slap. He drew his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around shrinking back against the walls of his cells as he heard approaching footsteps. He hoped it wasn't one of the evil men, or the man with the candy. Cody had lied. He hadn't been nice at all. He had been the worst. He had said something, made a light come toward him, and made everything hurt really badly.

He flinched as he heard the cell door opening and then a gruff voice saying, "Come on brat, get over here. Your father wants to see you." Brian obeyed scared of the consequences if he didn't all the while wondering why his father was here. He didn't want to see his dad. He would just hurt him more.

They walked down numerous hallways before reaching a door. The man opened the door and motioned Brian inside. His stomach dropped as he recognized the man with the candy sitting in the same chair he had been last night. He looked frantically around the room. He didn't see his daddy anywhere. The man has said his father wanted to see him, so why wasn't his daddy here?

"Come here," the red eyes man spoke. Brian reluctantly obeyed. Once he reached the man placed him on his lap, though it didn't make him feel like it did when Amanda put him on her lap. He looked fearfully down at his lap waiting for the man to speak. He felt a hand forcing his chin up to lock gazes with the red eyed man. "I bet you're wondering why you don't see your father here, aren't you?" Brian nodded fearfully. He didn't like those eyes. All he wanted was to get away.

"Your father is here, child. I am you father," he said smirking at the look of horror on the three year olds face.

"Hey, have you guys seen Harry? He was supposed to help me with the kids today," Amanda asked Hermione. He wasn't going to help her with the kids. That was just one of they things they said when they wanted to make out.

"He's still with Dumbledore as far as I know. Some seventh year said Dumbledore had wanted to see him. I'm beginning to worry though. That was over an hour ago and he hasn't returned," Hermione said voice concerned.

Amanda frowned. "Have you gone up to Dumbledore's office to see if he's there? Maybe he just decided to take a walk, or something."

"He wouldn't just take a walk," Remus spoke up. "Not without telling us anyway. Something isn't right. I can feel it."

Amanda at the brown haired stranger. "Should we take him seriously?" she asked Hermione skeptical.

"I forgot you two hadn't met. Amanda, this is Remus Lupin, Harry's guardian. Remus, this is Amanda, Harry's girlfriend."

"Nice to meet you," Remus said shaking the teen's hand. "I've heard a lot about you," he grinned.

"It's nice to meet you to. Harry talks about you a lot," she said awkwardly. Hermione seeming to sense the awkwardness her friend was feeling said,

"Why don't take Amanda's suggestion and go to Dumbledore's office?"

They all agreed and headed for the Headmaster's office

Ron and Kelli walked hand in hand through the halls of Hogwarts talking about whatever to come to mind. They got off on the subject on how weird Dumbledore was acting.

"Do you know why Dumbledore is acting so weird? It's weird that he's let students come from different schools. He's been acting so different lately," Ron mused.

"I know why he's acting different," Kelli said grin turning evil, taunting.

"You do?" Ron said surprised. He hasn't really been expecting an answer. She nodded still grinning. "Well, are you going to tell me?" he said impatiently.

"Are you sure you want to know?" she asked now walking backwards in order to see Ron's face

"Yes, I'm sure! Come on, tell me."

"All right," she sighed, acting as if it was a pain to tell him, but she loved it and couldn't wait for his reaction. "He's been acting different because that isn't really Dumbledore. Dumbledore got captured by Voldemort a month ago. Voldemort made the Polyjuice Potion with one of Dumbledore's hairs. Bellatrix Lestrange drank it and has been posing as Dumbledore since then. All the "assistant teachers" are Death Eaters in disguise, along with all the transfer students including my self," she said quietly silently rejoicing. She stopped walking as Ron. She frowned deeply as Ron started laughing his head off.

"That's a good one," he said in between laughs. "Dumbledore captured! Ha ha ha ha ha. Dumbledore is the only one that Voldemort is afraid of!"

Kelli didn't like this. This wasn't the reaction she wanted.

So, you don't believe me do? Well, we'll just see is a little pain will change your mind.

She drew her wand and whispered, "Crucio." The curse hit dead on as she knew it would. She grinned as Ron screamed and convulsed. That's more like it. She left him under the curse for a full ten seconds before removing it. "Now do you believe me?"
