What little joy she has left in her life rides on a thin string, and she struggles everyday to keep that string from breaking.

Third part of my ficlet poetry series. His paradise is a place where nothing from the everyday world can haunt him... until, one night, the red eyes of Voldemort invade where he thought no one could. Those red eyes contain every thread and fiber of hatred and evil in their world, and he swears that the children at Hogwarts will become more than just students... they will learn to fight for their world, and fight for their own survival.

He wasn't looking forward to sitting in a Muggle club, awaiting the arrival of an informant. But his dull assignment turns into something more when a stranger (whose eyes look so familiar), and a few rounds of double Scotch turn things around. One-shot, poem fic, Snape.

He goes to visit her every week... time after time, without failure. His routine never changes... and he always leaves feeling the same. He leaves, and her cries whip through the trees, haunting him. So this time, it will be different.
