Lani & Lexi in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

"Alexa! Wake up girl! I'm hungry and I don't want to go to breakfast alone...you know...just incase...you know...Draco found out already," Alana said nervously.

"Mff..." Alexa said groggily. "He can't have! It's only been about nine hours since you slipped it Alana!"

"Well, alright. Come with me to breakfast anyway, though. Since you're awake and everything."

"Whatever, girl! If that's what will make you feel better!" Alana and Alexa slipped out of their nightdresses and put on their silky black robes. The two of them walked down the stairs past the common room and out into the halls. As they walked toward the Great Hall, many 3^rd to 7^th year boys head's turned. One boy even yelled out, "Oh my god! The sexy girl number has just been doubled!" while looking them down from head to toe. Alana and Alexa giggled, both of them quite used to hearing things like that, especially Alana having been going to Hogwarts for 2 years more than Alexa. Just as they were about to enter the Great Hall, Draco Malfoy appeared, actually alone, without the "Hulk" and "Green Giant."

"Go away Alana!" Draco sneered.

"Oh, you're real nice!" Alana said, but she smiled mischievously as she walked away to sit with Oliver, which left Alexa and Draco alone...

"Um, hi...Renucci," Draco said in a voice much higher than his own.

"Malfoy," Alexa said, unable to keep a smile off her face. She noticed Draco was staring deeply into her own medium-blue eyes. He then took his hand, and was about to place it gently on her cheek before he caught himself, and jerked out of his daze.

"I know I don't really know you that well," Draco said. He knew it was very unlike him to say what he was about to say, but he wasn't just acting on his father's orders. He was acting on his own, too. She was just so beautiful. "But you're so beautiful. I think...I think I'm falling in love with you." Draco heard himself say it, but he couldn't believe it. Himself, Draco Malfoy, had confessed his love for a girl. It was mentally astounding.

"I...I think I love you too. Ever since the train..." Alexa said smiling. Then she gave Draco a tight, warm hug, and took his hand. They walked together into the Great Hall.

"LOOKIE HERE, FELLOW SLYTHERINS! ONCE IN A LIFE TIME OPPORTUNITY! MALFOY HAS PICKED UP A GRYFFIDOR!" Malcolm, a 4^th year Slytherin said sneeringly.

"Shut it, you filthy bastard!" Malfoy retorted coldly. Malcolm shut up at once. Alexa and Draco then, turned and headed toward the Gryffindor table. Malfoy hoped the other Gryffindors and teachers wouldn't mind much. They took seats next to Alana and Oliver.

"Malfoy," Oliver said coldly.

"Wood," Draco said, even colder. It seemed their Quidditch rivalry was still between them, and they both were hoping for the Cup this year.

"Oh, come on you two! Can't you put Quidditch beside you!" Alexa scolded. "Since Alana's my best friend, you might have to get used of seeing Draco, Wood."

"You and Draco are together!" Alana squealed in delight. It seemed now that Alexa and Draco were going out she couldn't get hurt for her slipup.

"YES!!!" Draco and Alexa said in unison, and they all ate their breakfast quickly, 3 of them not wanting to be late for their first Care of Magical Creatures Lesson.

When the time came for them to leave, Alana said goodbye to Oliver with a quick kiss, and the three of them hurried out the entrance hall doors with other third years, and A LOT of fourth years. When the path forked, the fourth year Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs headed off toward the greenhouses, and the rest of them headed toward Care of Magical Creatures. When they reached a cottage at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, they saw a very big man. He walked over to them. He must have been over 8 feet tall.

"I am Rubeus Hagrid, yer Care o' Magical Creatures teacher." He smiled at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "I got a special surprise fer all of you turday!" He led the class over to a white fence bordering the forest right behind his hut. Tethered there was what looked like a horse with feathers, wings, and a beak. Alexa listened to Hagrid carefully.

"This here is a Hippogriff. It's a cross bertween a hoss, centaur, an' a eagle. This one here is Buckbeak. Quite a gentle animal, unless yer goin' insultin' him that is. Insult him and that may be the last thing ya do. Those talons are mighty sharp, best not to mess with him." Alexa then looked back at Draco. He was talking with his cronies Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. They weren't listening in the slightest. Alexa directed her attention back to Mr. Hagrid. "Now, let's see how y'all get on with Buckbeak. Anyone want to volunteer ter be the first?" Everyone jumped back away from the fence. "Oh, come on everyone. He's only a hippogriff!" Alexa ran back to Draco.

"Come on, Drac! You volunteer!" Alexa said, grabbing Malfoy's arm firmly and trying to raise it in the air.

"NO WAY!" Draco exclaimed, pulling his arm out of Alexa's grasp. "I wasn't listening to anything the old idiot said!"

"Draco!" Alexa said, slapping him playfully upside the head. Just then, Harry raised his hand, and Alexa ran back to the front of the class.

"Oh! Harry! Remember your tea leaves!" Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown shrieked. It seemed they were in first period Divination with Harry. He didn't seem to listen to them, though, because he walked up in front of Buckbeak.

"Okay, Harry. Just bow ter him, an' if he bows back to yeh, you can touch him," Hagrid instructed. Harry looked a little nervous about exposing the back of his neck to the hippogriff, but he did it all the same. Sure enough the hippogriff bowed back, and Harry patted his soft, feathery head.

"I reckon he'll let you ride him!" Hagrid exclaimed. After Harry touched back on the ground with a gentle bump, Hagrid tethered Buckbeak back to the fence. Then he fetched two more hippogriffs from behind his cottage.

"Come on, Draco!" Alexa shouted to her boyfriend. "Let's go and pet one!" The two of them walked over to Buckbeak, bowed, and started to pet his head when he bowed back.

"Oooh! He's really soft!" Alexa said with glee.

"Yeah, I guess," said Draco. "But he's not that pretty, aren't you, you great ugly brute!"

It happened in a flash of steely talons. When everything was quiet once more, Alexa saw Draco lying out on the ground, blood spewing out of his arm, which was completely ripped open. Alexa ran to his side and grabbed the hand of his uninjured arm. "DRACO!!! ARE YOU OKAY?"

"AHHH! Alexa! It hurts! I'm dying! It's killed me!" Malfoy whimpered in pain.

"Everybody clear out!" yelled Hagrid. "Come on, boy. You ain't dyin'." Hagrid picked up Draco as if he was a rag doll. "Hospital wing." Alexa started to run after them, but was stopped by her own sister, Rowan.

"So...Lookie here girls. It's the lowly Gryffindor going out with the dying Slytherin. Ohh! It's just soooooooo sweet!" All the Slytherin girls snickered. "Aw! Poor, poor baby! Why don't you go save the life of your precious boyfriend?" Alexa ran off toward the hospital wing, her face in her hands. Alana stepped forward toward Rowan.

"You're such a cruel girl! Saying that to your only sister! You are infuriating her about the one thing she actually loves and cares about, because I'm sure you aren't on her list anymore. Has Slytherin turned you evil?"

"As a matter of fact, Little Miss Malfoy, I was evil before I came here, but Slytherin has allowed me to express myself! I LOVE HOGWARTS!" Rowan said, with an evil cackle.

"Yeah, but I HATE seeing your face, so leave!" Alana retorted, and the Gryffindors burst out laughing. Rowan actually did leave. She couldn't possibly think of a comeback with Alana's cheeks burning like that. She left, giving Alana an evil glare.

When the class ended, Alexa was forced to leave Draco's bedside and retreat to the Common Room for break. When Alana saw Alexa come into the Common Room, she ran up to her. Tears were running down the sides of her face and dry tearstains were on her cheeks.

"Draco's hurt real bad!" Alexa whimpered. "He told me Madame Pomfrey didn't know what to do. When I got there, his arm was covered in bandages. He was in a lot of pain. He...he..." and she trailed off, more tears streaming down her cheeks. Alana gave her a hug and told her everything would be all right soon. Just then, Oliver came over to Alana.

"Alana? We need to talk," he said seriously.

"Just tell me here, baby!" she replied. Oliver took a deep breath.

"It's over between us." Alana was shocked. Choking back tears, she managed to say, "But why Oliver? What did I do wrong?"

"No, Alana. I was cheating on you."

"With who, you dirty scoundrel?" Alana said, still choking back tears.

"Joey...7^th year Josephine Trevor.

"The fat one?"

"No, the pregnant one. The one carrying my baby," and Oliver walked away, and sat next to Joey, giving her a loving kiss.

Alana and Alexa sank back into the couch in front of the fire both erupted in tears.
