*********************

Virginia sauntered into the Great Hall for lunch that very day and walked slowly by the Gryffindor table as if to emphasize a point. Hermione was one of the last to look up amongst all the gasping, and her face set into a shocked, and outraged expression. She stood up and walked over to Virginia angrily.

"What do you think you're doing?" she hissed, looking down at the badge that was now pinned onto Virginia's school robes - the badge that was IDENTICAL to the one she wore on her own robes. Virginia glanced around the room, a smile on her face.

"I don't know what you're talking about Hermione, would you care to enlighten me?" by this time, Harry and Ron had walked over to them and looked like they were torn between backing Hermione up, or taking Virginia's side - she deserved something after all she'd been through didn't she? Ron looked the most torn, Harry just looked as if he was too ashamed and embarrassed to side with either. Hermione's patience had had just about enough.

"I'm talking about the badge, MY badge that you're wearing on your robes! First of all Virginia, there is only ONE head girl, and that is me. Second of all, you aren't even IN seventh year, so how can you be head girl? And thirdly ... thirdly, take that thing off! Now! Or I'll take house points off!" her anger had overflowed to the point of her spluttering for things to say. Virginia just smiled sweetly as Professor Dumbledore approached them.

"Ah, Miss Granger. I've been meaning to have a word with you, with all of you in fact," he turned to face the students who had been silent from the word go and were listening raptly. Virginia spied Draco sitting at the Slytherin table trying not to look confused. She giggled inwardly.

"Miss Weasley has shown an exemplary academic performance so far this year, as she always has in fact at her years in school. Her professors and headmasters overseas have informed us countless times how advanced she is in her knowledge and maturity and therefore, the other Professors and myself have decided that she is fit to be moved up to the seventh year effective immediately, and placed as a co-leader to Miss Granger's head girl status," he said, eyes twinkling as the rest of the school looked on in shock. There was a huge crash of applause from the Slytherin table and even a lot of the others began applauding as well. Even though many people were intimidated by the person that Virginia had become, they respected her for her intelligence and powerful ability in the subject of magic. They were also happy that Hermione Granger could not gloat any longer.

Virginia walked calmly over to the Slytherin table as her friends jumped up and gave her huge hugs. Draco gave her a loving kiss and she sat down next to him. They were halfway through dinner when their part of the Slytherin table went silent. Looking up, they saw Ronald Weasley approaching them cautiously. Setting her face into a grim expression, Virginia stared at them. He walked right up to her and leaned down next to her ear.

"Can I talk to you outside? Just for a few minutes?" her asked nervously. Virginia contemplated it for a moment, looked at Draco, and then nodded.

"Just a few minutes though," she said. He nodded, and they walked out together after she told her friends to go on without her. The two Weasley's reached an empty classroom and Ron sat down on one of the desks, gesturing for her to follow suit.

"Gin ... Virginia, we haven't spoken in so long ... I, I miss you, you know," he said, looking at the floor. For a brief second, Virginia felt her heart contract, but just as quick as it came, it passed.

"Is that so? Well it doesn't seem like it Ronald. Where were you when your best friend tried to rape me? Where were you when the famous Harry Potter assaulted your own flesh and blood? Where were you? Do mum and dad even know? Can you bear to slander Harry's name enough to tell them that you were worried about your sister? No, obviously not," as much as she tried, the tears started to pour down her face. "You just have no idea what I've been through Ron, you and your stupid Gryffindor friends. Slytherin is where I've found the people that truly care about me, the people that were there for me when I almost couldn't cope. Draco, he has never failed me since I've been back, he was the one that saved me from Harry, and still, you can't show even a little humility towards him. Well you know what? I don't have time for you anymore. We used to be close, you were always my favourite brother, but now you've gone and shown me your true colours, and that is something that I will never forget. Ever." She stood up, giving him one last fleeting look before running out, the tears still cascading down her cheeks. She ran as fast as she could, all the way down to the Slytherin dormitories, and threw herself on her bed, crying like she'd never cried before.

Virginia sat up, sniffling and shakily took out the piece of parchment she'd been reading relentlessly for the past week. A decision had to be made.

Miss Weasley,

I have been asked to inform you, that you are ready to be initiated into our select group of followers. The Dark Lord has expressed his delight in finally finding you, and would be greatly pleased if you and my son, Draco Lucifer Malfoy would attend a special meeting this coming Saturday. Please reply soon via owl.

Cordially,

Lucius Malfoy

Well, she'd made a decision. And there was nothing anyone could do to stop her. She took out a clean piece of parchment and the elegant green quill Aleña had bought her for her birthday earlier on the year, and wrote a reply.

Lucius,

Draco and I will be attending the meeting this Saturday, but we will be there under my conditions. Please send back a time and venue and inform the Lord of our impending arrival.

Virginia Weasley

When she'd signed it off, she folded the parchment, tied it with a green ribbon and sent it off with her owl.

"There's no turning back now."

The figures watched as Virginia pointed her wand at the ghost and said an unknown incantation. Screams of pain and agony could be heard as they saw the ghost being sucked back down into a portal that would take it to hell where it would burn forever. The higher members were none less than shocked. They'd never seen anything of this caliber before. This was beyond them.

Nikolai stood up and stared at Virginia for a moment. She was standing there, breathing heavily, and sweat made her face glossy.

"Excetatum Respectarvus Deceso?" he said, looking at her strangely. Virginia turned to him, her eyes wild. Something had been ripped open inside of her, and it was pouring out of her sparkling eyes.

"I have never heard of this curse. You have exceeded our expectations Virginia, you have more power then we even begin to comprehend," he told her, his expression now one of admiration. She looked back at him, too physically exhausted to even speak. Nikolai excused himself and pulled another member out of the circle to another room. Virginia expected that this member might have been an almost equal rank to Nikolai, and she was glad to see that it was a woman. Aleksander walked up to Virginia, looking incredulous.

"I never knew my little princess could have so much power. Virginia, you are one in a million," he said, giving her a smile. Virginia, finally finding her voice, smiled back.

"Neither did I," she said. It was at that moment that the two highest members returned.

"Virginia. This is Gemarie De Vitry, second head in council. Together, we would be honoured if you became a higher member of the Argentus Society. This is an honour far beyond any so far as it usually takes, well, a long period of time to reach this status." The six of them gathered around her awaiting her answer. She held her head high, eyes still full of the power that she had emanated before.

"I will."

*****************

On Saturday, Draco and Virginia arrived at Malfoy Manor at around 10pm. Both dressed in their best robes, they made their way towards Lucius' chambers. Inside, was a large group of tall dark hooded figures standing around him.

"Welcome ... welcome my children, please, step forward so I may see you." He hadn't changed since she'd seen him last, he still looked youthful, yet as if he'd aged a couple of years so that he could still hold some sort of authority over Virginia's 16 years, and Draco's 17. Virginia's heart gave a painful tug. Draco squeezed her hand tightly.

Draco and Virginia walked through the parting rows of Death Eaters towards Tom Riddle and stood in front of him, their heads bowed respectfully. Riddle took Virginia's hand and kissed it.

"You grow more beautiful every day my pet. Now, Lucius told me something about conditions that you wished to make?" he was more amused then angry at their insolence. Virginia held her head high and looked him right in the eye.

"Draco and I have decided to join your side." Riddle smiled at her smugly. "But Draco and I will not be receiving the Dark Mark tonight," she finished. Immediately, the room burst into gasps of shock. Lucius was among them. He glared down at his son who refused to look at him. Riddle regarded her through slit eyes.

"And why, may I ask do you feel that this is appropriate?" his voice silky and cut with an edge. If she was scared of what he might do, she didn't show it.

"As you know, Hogwarts is kept under a close, safe guard by that," Virginia's eyes glinted as she made emphasis of her next words, "mudblood loving old fool, Dumbledore, and I'm afraid that it would just be too obvious to him, if Draco and I were to receive the mark. Don't you think it would be more appropriate for us to act as spies amongst a midst of brainwashed sheep, then practically wave our arms in front of the ministry, informing them of our dishonourable associations?" her words were just as silky as his, and she didn't falter once. Riddle seemed to be thinking this over very seriously.

"Your conditions are very clever Miss Weasley, I'm glad that someone in my circle is as intelligent as you. I suppose it would be best if nay of the other Slytherins serving me at Hogwarts this present, be marked yet either ... yes, that is a very good idea indeed," his smile dripped with venom, but was as genuine as it got for him. Lucius looked somewhat disgruntled, but pleased that his son had not been a part of angering the Dark Lord.

"You are free to go if you wish, we have other things to take care of now. Lucius will correspond with you regularly, and I expect frequent answers and information." His tone was decisive and the conversation had obviously been ended. Draco and Virginia walked back out of the room, sighing in relief.

"I had no idea you were going to do that Virginia, why didn't you tell me?" he asked, partly angry that he had been left out of the loop.

"Draco, I did not want you to speak up. I am probably the best person at handling Tom Riddle; therefore, it would have been best that I kept the conversation to myself. Did you want the Mark now?" she asked, eyebrow raised. Draco sighed in irritation.

"Okay, you're right, as usual. Dumbledore WOULD get suspicious if we got it now, but my father is not going to be happy." He sighed again. Virginia pulled him into a hug.

"Shh darling, there will come a time when we can prove our allegiance to our side, publicly, but that time is not now. For things to work out, you must have patience." She kissed him softly, and together, they traveled back to the castle.

When the Slytherin couple made it back to their common room, their friends were waiting for them patiently.

"How did it go?" Caleb asked immediately. Virginia suddenly turned to look at him. He was almost frightened as her eyes bore right into him, but she was unaware of what she was doing. As soon as she'd stepped into the room, she'd felt this ... this presence blocking her, and now that she looked into Caleb's tainted eyes, she saw what had been plaguing her. Her eyes flashed and Caleb fell back onto the chair. It seemed like a long time to the two of them, but all of this happened in the space of about three seconds - too short for anybody else to really notice. Draco cleared his throat importantly.

"None of us shall be receiving the Mark," he started, the girls gasped. "Not for a while anyhow. The Dark Lord has agreed to let us wait until a time more appropriate - we are under too much of a watchful eye here," he said. Glancing around the room, he lowered his voice. "Now is not the time to talk about it though."

Virginia had turned her gaze away from Caleb after he'd fallen and nodded at Draco's words.

"He's right. And it's getting late, we'd better head up to bed," she said. The others nodded and said their good nights - Caleb still in a startled daze. Just as Draco was walking away, Virginia reached out and grabbed his hand, looking into his eyes searchingly. He was alarmed to say the least.

"What is it?" he asked concernedly.

"Don't say a word to Caleb, just help me get the others to that classroom on the third floor - near the prefects bathroom, no one ever goes in there. After supper Draco ... make sure everybody is there," she said before kissing him softly and running up the stairs.

The weeks had passed by and Virginia had grown stronger and more confident with each passing day. Aleña had also passed her initiation with flying colours and the both of them had felt like they held the whole world within their grasps.

"What are you and Alek doing tonight?" Aleña asked her friend. Virginia shrugged.

"I'm not really sure, he said it was a surprise," she replied, smiling. They had just finished their last class and Aleña was walking back to their dormitory to help Virginia get ready. The Argentus Society had really brought something out of Virginia. Not only her ability to quiet a crowd, nor her power to hold anyone's attention to her whim, but her way of being in herself. She'd never felt so accepted, so powerful, so highly regarded before. It was like it was her moment to shine.

When she was ready she said a nervous goodbye to her best friend, and made her way towards the venue that Alek had picked out. When she walked into the room, she sighed in content. It was beautiful. There were white and red candles floating all around the place, giving off a heavenly romantic aroma. He'd charmed one of those muggle devices for playing music to work and there was some slow jazz filling the air. In the middle of the room was a small table with two chairs on either side. A pristine white tablecloth covered it, and there was a single rose in a tall thin silver vase resting in the middle. The dinnerware and cutlery, Virginia was sure, was pure silver and she didn't think she'd ever seen anything more romantic in her life. A movement in the shadows caught her eye and she turned to see her boyfriend leaning against the wall, dressed from head to toe in black, and holding two glasses of champagne. She smiled at him and he walked over.

"You look beautiful," he said. She blushed and he handed her a glass. Virginia gladly accepted it and took a big gulp.

"Hey careful with that, it's strong," he said. She looked up at him and he took the opportunity to kiss her. When they broke away, he led her over to the table. The laughed and talked over an absolute gourmet dinner that Aleksander swore he'd put together himself and when they'd finished, he led her into a separate room. The happy, content feelings she'd been having left her when she saw what was in the room, but she had begun to feel a little woozy, and it wasn't just your normal alcoholic wooze - she'd only had half a glass. There was a huge four-poster bed sitting in front of her with soft candlelight lighting the room. To her, it only seemed ominous, but when Alek began sliding his hands down her body, there was a physical resistance on her not allowing her to make him stop. Her body and her mind were screaming at him to stop, but her movements didn't seem to be functioning properly. She looked up at him with frightened eyes.

"Alek, what have you done to me?" she said helplessly. He smiled down at her, but now that she thought about it, the look in his eyes was not filled with romance, it was filled with lust.

"I just gave you something to help you relax," he said casually, sliding the strap of her dress off her shoulder. She shook her head, but couldn't form the words. Alek picked her up and lay her down on the bed.

"Don't worry my sweet, you'll always be innocent to me, and I promise that you will enjoy it," he said. He never got to finish it though, or even start it for that matter, because the door that had been previously closed slammed open with a huge bang and four hooded figures entered the room sending Alek flying against the wall into unconsciousness.

*****************

The next day had passed slowly. Too slowly for Virginia. Draco had been pressing her all day to tell him what was wrong, but she promised to tell him when they were all assembled together. Finally supper came, and as soon as they'd all finished, the selected Slytherins made their way up to the desired venue to wait. Finally Virginia appeared. She looked out around her at her fellow Slytherins. Pansy Parkinson, Aleña Lestrange, Blaise Zabini, and a few other Slytherins that she had come to know well by the names of Mark Tolquin, Geoffrey Flint, James Warrington, Sara Zabini and Jules Montan. They all hushed when she entered and listened.

"I told some of you this yesterday, but not all of you. The Dark Lord has decided to let us forgo the initiation - receiving the Mark, as it is too dangerous to keep it at such a place as Hogwarts - there are too many ways in which we could be discovered. But that's not why I called you all here. This group, this group, which we have assembled for the last few weeks, is a group that has sworn allegiance to one side. But this group -"

"Gin, where's Caleb, he should be hearing this too," Blaise interrupted in confusion. This sparked more confusion amongst the others as well. Virginia took a deep breath.

"That's why I've called you all here. It has come to my attention that," at this, Virginia flit her eyes around the room, staring down each and every person there, her expression the most serious it had ever been.

" ... Caleb Ambrose is a traitor."

Author's note; Phew, that spell really took it out of me! * Puts her wand down * hehe, just kidding. Now, I know what you are all thinking; 'How can Virginia be so cruel as to banish Harry's poor mum into hell?' but see here young readers (or older ... whatever!) I'm not going to give away the story line, but don't get all mad at me just yet, you don't know the truth! This is part of the plot and it needs to be done, but don't expect everything that happens to be entirely as it sounds, you just wait my dears! Thank you very much for the reviews, they've been great, keep reading!

Review Response;

Horse_head - I like you because you've reviewed BOTH my stories! Yay! Hehe. Just in response to your review - Did I mention in that chapter that most of the people there were Dark Lord supporters? If I didn't, I'm sorry! They are - Lucius wouldn't invite his 'good' Ministry colleagues to his house unless it was for his own benefit! (to gain more respect) He isn't really angry at Lucius though, he just sorta ... hisses, you know? Hehe. Anyway, I thought that most fics like this always have Lucius scaring the living s**t how of Virginia, so I made her throw it back in his face! Anyway, thanks for reviewing!

Abby Kellogg - hey thanks for reviewing - from the start! and don't worry about correcting me, I'm glad you did, I would find it a little offensive if someone was trying to speak my language and got it completely muddled up hehehe! If I need anymore translations, I'll owl you!
