"Denials"
It was a peaceful night in Little Whinging. In a window of #4 Privet Drive, a gangly 16-year-old was gazing through it, Harry Potter was thinking and remembering what happened that night. The night that he and his friends decided to enter the Ministry, the night that Voldermort made himself go public, the night that Sirius died.....
"No he didn't die," a voice in Harry's head said "he just fell behind the veil, he will come back."
Even if he knew that it wasn't true, he decided to believe it. He knew that Sirius was dead, that his godfather was never going to come back. That his dad's best friend was never going to come back and take him away from the Dursleys....
The Dursleys of Privet Drive #4, they were his uncle Vernon, aunt Petunia and his cousin Dudley; they were his only living relatives. But sometimes he dreamed or remembered two women, one with glasses and light brown hair and the other one with black hair, his aunts from his fathers'side... but it was just a dream, he didn't have any other relatives.
Harry was disrupted from his thoughts, as he saw Mundugus Fletcher wave at him from the street below, he was only visible by the street light. But Harry did not wave back, he merely stood from the window seat and headed for his bed, thinking "It must be his night shift, to see if I'm ok".
On his way he was intercepted by Pig, Ron's owl, "great" he said out loud. "Ron wants to know if I'm okay, that Hermione has beeen worried, that I haven't write back, that his mum says hi, blah, blah, blah", he thought as he put on a forced smile on his face and took the letter from Pig and then proceeded to shoo the owl from his room and into the night sky, where the moon was visible.
Ron and Hermione were his best friends, or so he thought. Ron was a gangly teenager whose hair was a flaming red and he had blue eyes and a lot of freckles, he also had five older brothers and a younger sister, and his family was extremely poor, but maybe not now that Fred and George started their business. Hermione on the other hand had brown bushy hair and brown eyes, she was a girl who was always buried into books a 'know-it'while Ron was a 'lazy git'. But they were his friends and were worried for him, just as everyone else was.
Then apart from "the wonder trio", there were now Neville Longbottom, who was a forgetful, round boy, whose parents were tortured into insanity by death-eaters, and everyone wonders why he is in Griffindor. Then it's Ginny Weasley, who is Ron's little sister, the same red hair and blue eyes that run in the family. And finally the only Ravenclaw in the team, Luna Lovegood, who is very strange and always thinking far more than all the others, she was just... well... just Luna.
"Why can't they leave me alone?" he whispered.
When Harry was sure Pig was out of sight, he threw the letter intotrash can, were there where at least a dozen letters or more from Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, Lupin, Luna, Hogwarts and others. But he didn't open them, not one, he didn't want to face the thruth, he didn't want their pity, he just wanted for them to leave him alone and never contact him ever again, not even Hogwarts, but then again you couldn't have everything in life, could you?
He suddenly realize that it was already 10 o'clock and all the lights were out on all the houses of Privet Drive "I must have drifted into la-la land" he thought as he got into his bed, tooked off his glasses and placed them on the little beside table, and then drifted into what looked like a nightmare.
