Something to Remember

At the beginning of the Second War, Hermione teaches Draco he can have more than the terror-fated destiny consigned to him by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, that which would force his partake straight down the path to the occupation of the Dark Arts. No ... The unexpected Gryffindor girl thereby demonstrates to Draco that he has the power to acquire new, and also perhaps highly beneficial, allies. As Draco soon learns where his refreshed heart longs to truly stand, and to WHOM with which it shockingly belonged, Hermione does too find her heart stricken by the curse of romance just as well! And so then .. .A FORBIDDEN LOVE ENSUES!!!!

Harry arrives at the Burrow with Professor Lupin at last, but not without bringing another surprising visitor with them. However, while the trio (for the most part) enjoy their last few days of summer, Draco Malfoy continues to suffer the treachery of his father and the imminent doom it could bring. September first seemingly comes with a pang of unknowns...

As Harry, Hermione and Ron board the Hogwarts Express, the two new prefects are forced to abandon Harry for their first official meeting before the new Head Boy and Head Girl. But when Hermione is partnered with Draco Malfoy on her very first Prefect assignment, shocking events ensue.

As the first day of classes begins, suspicions arise around Draco and Hermione that exacerbates into taunting and danger as the two are forcibly thrown into partnership during Potions. Meanwhile an envious Pansy Parkinson fires up rumors that spread like the Black Death. But in the outside world peril still grows.

Things get very dramatic as enemies surrounding Hermione and Draco take action, Ron and Harry grow suspicious, and secrets begin to unveil in a most deadly fashion.

While feelings stir uncertainly inside Draco and Hermione about one another, DEVASTATING news hits the papers that alludes to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named uprising! In addition to that, McGonagall notices Hermione and Draco have become friends and thus assigns her two newest prefects the duty of orchestrating a play/musical that the whole school could see by wintertime! All this while the school continues ostracizing Draco and second-guessing Hermione's loyalties...

When Dumbledore calls Draco, Harry, and Hermione to his office, the three are filled in on crucial details relating to the coalition against Voldemort. Soon enough they are even brought, stunningly, into a stream of memories from You-Know-Who's past....but can they find a weakness?

Despite all the mayhem affecting his world, Harry nonetheless cannot help but be sidetracked by the desperate desires of his lonely heart....Cho Chang. With the help of Hermione's wit and the unlikely foreknowledge of another, the boy-who-lived finds himself in disbelief as a seemingly real chance at claiming his enchantress miraculously surfaces.

Though Harry and Cho have finally been matched-up, things are still hardly any better. When Dumbledore again calls Harry, Draco, and Hermione to his office, they explore perhaps the most crucial memories yet about Voldemort's past that might just hold the key to finding his weakness. Indeed, Hermione easily realizes her still somewhat unsettled feud with Ron is the least of their worries...

In this suspense-filled chapter, terrible news perilously lands upon the entire wizarding world that in a mind-boggling flash will bring huge change, Draco and Hermione's vows grow closer and more meaningful to their intoxicated hearts, and Harry and Cho spend time preciously cuddling up like lovebirds as the four friends spend their Christmas "vacation" at Cho's home unsuspecting of the ever-breaking events that simultaneously ever-unfold...And which will perhaps unknowingly lead them face-on into a deadly battle soon enough.

As Harry, Draco, Cho, and Hermione simply aspire to finish up the remainder of their individual Christmas breaks safe from danger, they are very pleasantly uplifted by an invitation from the Minister of Magic to honor their efforts in Diagon Alley. But before they can celebrate for too long, Dumbledore seizes them for a walkthrough of perhaps the four most important memories to defeating Lord Voldemort...

In this suspense-filled chapter, revelations of the most puzzling kind about Voldemort are unraveled, a blitz attack is suffered by a certain pertinent character, and Professor Trelawney returns either to grandstand or genuinely forewarn of impending doom. All making, in end, for a most "memorable" Valentine's Day.

In aftermath of traumatic events, Hermione still cannot speak, still cannot leave her despaired isolation. Meanwhile, the volume of schoolwork for the Hogwarts fifth-years is becoming increasingly overwhelming as their all-important O.W.L.s dawn sooner upon them. Nevertheless these "in-house" problems, though, TERRIFYING news breaks that confirms an unimaginable new deadly peril upon the already barely-bracing wizarding world...

March has come upon Hogwarts. The Slytherins, already taunting Draco worse than ever, surprise him with the news that his mother and Lupin are dating — from the headlines of Witch Weekly magazine!!! Meanwhile, Cho and Harry's entire relationship seems to be a half-torn thread away from falling apart, especially as Harry learns someone new may be interested in him .... All leading up to the suspenseful, all-shocking Ides of March: All Hell may just break loose when Harry, Draco, Hermione, and the others receive an unexpected "visit" from a very particular lot of wizarding folk — from those whom have become, to speak frankly, their FAR-too-familiar, beyond deadly enemies!

As certain changes in relationships brings the golden trio back and Ginny heartbroken, Draco, Harry, Ron and Hermione all face a new, hopeful road together again as the 'golden trio', whereas Ginny remains brokenhearted. Then, while with Ginny on a spontaneous adventure, Draco discovers an "old friend" with great shock ... All before new peril unsurprisingly comes sneaking back.

While the upcoming O.W.L.S. never cease to overwhelm the fifth years at Hogwarts, Draco somehow manages to find in precious spare time key pieces of knowledge regarding the Draught of Destruction. Then, thinking they were at a dead-end, Terry Boot one day in confidence informs Draco about his own stash of pertinent knowledge. Determined to maintain secrecy, the two agree to meet midnight at the Astronomy Tower, joined by Harry and Hermione!

In an absolutely suspenseful, thrilling night, utmost determined, Harry, Draco, Hermione, Terry Boot, and Hannah Abbot at all costs go forth to locate the long-deserted homeland of none other than Helga Hufflepuff herself, where at the biggest secrets to the Draught of Destruction were claimed to be held. Sneaking out of the castle inconspicuously, the group headed straight for the mysterious island at Hannah's lucky navigation. Blindsided, however, while the five crusaders did expect obvious tribulation, they had no imagination of the very deadly peril imminent to come...

As the six, feeling victorious, begin to make their immediate departure from the island, they are blindsided by a deadly fleet of, by now, FAR too familiar enemy assailants. Can Dumbledore miraculously find this out somehow, and in enough time at that, with the help of some friends? Regardless, this battle, taken place on Helga Hufflepuff's long-abandoned homeland, notwithstanding WILL prove to be a bloodbath of merciless dueling!

As Draco's recovery remains critical while Hermione and Narcissa watch anxiously, Harry accepts the striking epiphany that it all ultimately comes down to he HIMSELF, his destiny to defeat Voldemort at last. Seeking out Dumbledore, Harry confesses his intention to soldier on in this quest, and ends up allowably doing so - but with the help of his very-fond-of Remus Lupin. But to quite their surprise even yet, Harry and Lupin receive an intense blast from the past shortly thereafter when an old (though nonetheless most memorable) acquaintance coincides in their way ...

Harry, Hermione, Ginny and Cho receive news that Draco is in surgery at St. Mungo's, and that it would be another day before they could see him. Differently responding, while Cho convinces Ginny to go on a drinking spree that ends up over the top, Hermione gathers all possible knowledge about the Draught and realizes things are much more difficult than she'd imagined. Harry is not happy to be informed so, especially when concurrently Draco's health is in critical state. Were they screwed?!

O.W.L.s approach for Harry, Hermione, Ron and the others as Draco continues to heal nevertheless. Then a huge bombshell determining Tim Zabini's fate is revealed upon the entire wizarding world. Needless to say, at very least, Draco's birthday is skewed from original plan.

And here, ladies and gentlemen, we now come to a (hopefully) sufficient textual closure for our rather abruptly-ended story. (And YES, I know and admit it - I am most certainly guilty of having a despoiled motivation for finishing the full tale properly, (that is) with an ever-inspired catalyst canonizing along the face to its full catalog... I'm so sorry; that's all I can really say :/.)
