Dear Ginny,

How's your summer going? I'm going to some football matches with my dad soon, looking forward to them.

I saw an ad for Fred and George's joke shop in the Daily Prophet - it seems to be going well for them. Maybe we could meet in there, when are you all going to do your back to school shopping? I know, I know, the holidays are just starting and I'm already thinking about going back...

Have you seen all the useless advice in the Daily Prophet? I wish they wouldn't, my mum saw one and found out about You-Know-Who...

Which is gonna make it difficult to visit my Aunt and Lee - she invited me for a few days in the summer. Lee is going to stay with Fred and George at some point I think, though Gina's really worried about it, since Diagon Alley isn't secure, but then again, where is these days?

Another thing in the Daily Prophet - they're going on about some kind of prophecy about Harry, is there any truth in it? How are Ron and Hermione, all better?

Never thought I'd miss school, but in all fairness, it's not the school I miss, I miss you. Hope to hear from you soon

A lot happened at the Ministry that night, and it's probably not my business to repeat. There was a prophecy, but no one heard what it said, it broke and no one was near enough to hear it. Please don't tell anyone, I don't want the rumours getting stronger.

That's great about your aunt, you should go, nowhere is safe, and at least she's allowed to use magic if anything were to happen.

Mum isn't letting us anywhere near Diagon Alley until dad and some Ministry security can come with us, because Harry will be joining us here in the next couple of days. I haven't even seen the shop yet, but I'm sure I've seen most of the merchandise at some stage.

Yeah, the Prophet is feeding us lots of useless information, I can't believe you left a paper where your mum could find it! You should have made up some story, she'll only worry herself sick, what if she stops you coming back to Hogwarts?

I miss you too, as soon as I know when we'll be in Diagon Alley, I'll let you know

PS Harry arrived this morning, and so did the OWL results, how'd you do?

I didn't get the grades I need to take the NEWTs required for Healing College.

I got Outstandings in Defence Against the Dark Arts and Charms, Exceeds Expectations in Herbology, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures and Astronomy and Acceptables in History of Magic, Divination and Potions. I needed an Outstanding in Potions to keep it on for NEWT level - Snape won't even take an E let alone an A! You need at least an E at NEWT level in Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Charms, Potions and Transfiguration to go into Healing. I don't know what to do with myself now, Gina was so delighted I wanted to be a Healer - she says it was Gary's ambition from when he was seven, and had to go into St Mungos with Dragon Pox.

God I'm depressed now, what the hell am I gonna do with my life?

I'm so sorry you didn't get the potions grade. Kwikspell does OWL and NEWT correspondence courses - maybe you could take one of them? You should ask Professor McGonagall when we get back. I'm sure there will be a way, one failed exam is not the end of the world, I'm sure. Maybe you can take a make-up exam? One way or another, I know you'll do it.

I sent an owl to Professor McGonagall, I'll let you know if I hear back, she might just wait til the school year starts and call me in for another meeting - I'll probably get another five minute lecture about not working hard enough, like last time! But I don't care if she can find a way to get me into that class... I don't know where I went wrong in the exam! Everything looked the way it was supposed to - it must have been the written.

I hope there's a way around it, it's all I can imagine doing with my life now.

So how're things at home? Any idea when you'll make it to Diagon Alley yet? I can't wait to see you again!

We got our letters this morning, and mum says we'll go on Saturday. I'll see you in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes around midday, or shortly after it. Are you coming alone? Cause that's NOT a good idea! Don't go walking around alone, take the Knight Bus, you know how to do that?
