Hermione Granger and the Order of the Phoenix

Thought that Harry and Cho was the only romance occurring at Hogwarts during OotP? The fifth book from Hermione's POV--what really happened in those prefect meetings; what happened during the summer alone with Ron? Could there be another boy in the picture besides Ron or Viktor? Summer days at Grimmauld Place continue with Harry's arrival, but that's the least of Hermione's problem. Where's that darn prefect letter? And why on earth is Fleur causing a stir again...

And we're off to Hogwarts! Hermione runs into Malfoy, worries about Harry, and makes a pact with Ron. And her first day back doesn't go any better than Harry's...

Hermione's first week back includes Ron's tryout, a row with Fred and George, a serious talk with Ginny, and a plan to get Umbridge sacked.

It's Hermione's birthday--will Ron's gift reveal how he really feels about her? Hermione also meets a boy named Zacharias Smith and discovers his sordid past with the Weasleys. A very important decision is also made about what to do about her feelings towards Ron.

The "getting-over-Ron" plan does not go well for Hermione after the first DA lesson, so she enlists Ginny to help her out. Also, Harry wasn't the only one getting into a fight during the first Quidditch match...

Hermione goes on her first date with Terry Boot--will she forget all about Ron? And is Zacharias flirting with her? Whether he is or not, Ron certainly has something to say about it! After all, no chapter is complete without a row with Ron! This chapter also includes a letter from home, Christmas plans, and Harry's first kiss.

So what did happen at Hogwarts while Ron and Harry are at Grimmauld Place? Hermione has a disturbing encounter with Malfoy, a serious talk with Dumbledore, a difficult phone call to her parents, and a sweet conversation in the snow with none other than Ron Weasley.

A short chapter with two scenes at Christmas time at Grimmauld Place: Hermione reflects and receives a very surprising gift!

Hermione deals with worries about Harry and Occlumency, Rita Skeeter, an interesting conversation with Luna Lovegood, and a rather shocking surprise while on patrol.

Hermione sets things straight with Cho, and gives Ron a special gift for his birthday. And what happened after Ron and Hermione ran out of the Room of Requirement the night Umbridge caught Harry at D.A.? Warning: this chapter contains stronger language, and a fairly detailed description of a snog.

Was the only rebellious act Hermione committed on the night Fred and George released the fireworks was to not do homework? What career did Hermione decided on in her meeting with McGonagall? How did Ginny react when she broke up with Michael? The answers to all of these questions lie in this chapter!
