Hermione Granger and the Beginning of the End

This is the story of the beginning of the trio's last months at Hogwarts, the beginning of the end of their childhood and the end of the war. But will good prevail? Will they survive? And why the hell did Ron Weasley throw away his relationship with Hermione? Once again, a lot more action, darker, but perhaps this time we shall have a happy ending...or not...

Exposition is given on what has been happening over the last year? Was there a showdown with Voldemort as usual? What was the reaction to Ron and Hermione's breakup? Are we ever going to understand why Ron did this?

Just an ordinary day for Head Girl Hermione Granger...run-ins with irritable Malfoy, troubled Harry, annoying Daphne, sympathetic Hagrid, and sweet, wonderful Ron

He's baaaaccck! Drunk Ron! And some of our other favorite characters are a little intoxicated themselves....

So did Hermione have as much fun as she anticipated? And how will she feel about things the next morning...it may not be what you expect...

There's two Voldemorts now...Ginny is an inch away from death...could things get anymore scary? Well...

Dean's funeral, a standoff with Seamus, and Hermione comes to a decision about her prat...

A very R/Hr chapter....some rows, some revelations, and Hermione finally starts to figure it out...

(Gasp) Percy's back?! And did he bring some of his Death Eater friends? The trio and a few others embark on a new adventure...

Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Ginny head to Grantham to find Tom Riddle...will they be successful? Or will they, like Luna foresaw, find exactly what they've been looking for?

A brief change of POV as we learn what Ginny has been up to. Hermione also makes some more revelations about Ron.

So they all escaped the Malfoy Manor...but now what? Will Hermione learn the truth or even more importantly, will she forgive Ron?

So the first date...did it go well? And what about Harry--just why was he in the hospital wing even though he felt perfectly fine?

Hermione hears about how Ginny's love life is surpisingly going, gets a surprise visitor, a surprise letter, and a not-so-surprising row with Ron.

Hermione heads home for the Easter holidays and gets a very, very, very big surprise....

Ron and Hermione are back together!!!! I wish I could say it's all smooth sailing but I think we all know it's anything but...

Ron comes back home from St. Mungo's with some news and has a rare moment of serenity with Hermione.

Suddenly, Percy's death isn't the biggest problem the trio must contend with....

So what's going on with Harry and Ron in the Forest? Is Ron ok? What about the other students--where is Ginny? A few surprises, a few characters we haven't seen in a long time, and as a warning, a pretty intense scene of violence. It's the beginning of the end....

Is it true? Is Hermione really dead? Well....

Hermione encounters some old friends at the Malfoy Manor--except that these people aren't really friends--especially the tall, psychotic one who inflicted a certain scar on Harry Potter....

Hermione returns to Hogwarts! Are things how she left them? Will Ron recover? How will Harry react to discovering that his best friend is really alive? So many questions...

And so it begins: the final battle...

So the final battle is over. We've won but at what costs? Who has survived?
