- Ok - this was just a little something I thought my friend might find amusing - she liked it so I decided to post! PLEASE READ AND REVIEW! Thank you! (And *waves* Hi Alisa!)
I stared into the fire in the common room, silently fuming. Damn Harry. Right now I hated every single thing about him. The way he got into the Goblet Fire, the way I was just his little sidekick, the way he always got all the attention, and especially the way he just pretends he doesn't like it. I looked up the stairs, couldn't go up to bed now - not that he was in the same dormitory.
"I wish Harry Potter had NEVER come to Hogwarts!"
"Done."
I turned around to see a plump little man in a red suit with a fluffy white beard.
"Who are you?!"
"I'm the ghost of Christmas Past."
"What? No you're not - you look like Santa Claus! And it's not even Christmas!"
"Yeah yeah - whatever kid, it doesn't matter who I am - what matters is that you're wish come true."
"What?" I was utterly bewildered, "I am utterly bewildered!"
"You made a wish and it's my job to make it come true - come on - stand up now-"
"I made a wish? What? What're you talking about?"
"Now - what's your name kid?"
"Uh - Ron Weasley"
"Ok Whizzley - "
"No it's Weez-lee, Weasley," I tried correcting him.
"Yeah, Whizzley that's what I said - now come on stand up, come over here." The man took me by the shoulder and steered me over by his side.
"Now - repeat your wish."
"What wish?"
"The one you just made. Uuu.What was it...you wished Barry Clotter had never come to Foghorns or something..."
"Oh - ok - umm - I wish Harry Potter had never come to Hogwarts..."
WHOOOSH I felt an icy cold wind sweep past my face - it was so cold I had to close my eyes for fear they'd freeze. The wind stopped, I opened my eyes, and we were on the Hogwarts Express. Santa Claus, or the Ghost of Christmas past, whatever his name was - hold on - maybe I should ask -
"Hey - what's your name?"
"My real name?"
"Yeah."
" It's Bob."
Ok, Bob - opened one of the compartment doors and there I was, but three years younger. With Scabbers - Wormtail - it was all I could do not run and throw that evil rodent out the window. But there was no Harry or Hermione; I was riding to Hogwarts all by myself.
"See - " Bob said, "If Harry had never come to Hogwarts, that'd mean you'd be a loner, Whizzley."
It was true. If I never met Harry I would have no best friend, or no Hermione either.
The wind WHOOSHED again and it was Halloween of my first year.
"See look-" Bob said, "You're a loner - you really don't have any friends - sitting alone at the Halloween feast. All alone - by yourself - no friends at all in your very first -"
"Ok - I get the loner thing now can we carry on?"
"Yeah yeah -" Bob nodded at looked at his watch, "Any second now..."
Then Professor Quirrell burst through the door "TROLLLLLL IN THE DUNGEON!!!!!!!"
AH yes...I almost forget about Quirrell, but that'd mean - oh no - if there was no Harry - Quirrell would get the Sorcerers Stone!
"And Hermione would be killed." Bob added.
"What? How'd you know what I was thinking?"
"I know everything."
"How would Hermione be killed?"
"The troll, Whizzley! If Harry never came to Hogwarts and made you go with him to warn Hermione about the troll - it'd kill her. But - Quirrell doesn't get the stone, luckily, Snape was a bit too clever."
WHOOOSH - there's that damn wind again. Bob had taken me to another one of the Hogwarts' feasts.
"Where are we now?"
"It's the end of the year feast - your second year."
Dumbledore stood up. "I would like to ask you all to please, raise you goblets in remembrance of one of our dear students, Ginny Weasley."
"In remembrance of Ginny? But Ginny's alive, Bob!"
"If it wasn't for Harry - no, she wouldn't be."
"WHAT?"
"Tom Riddle would have completely drained Ginny of all her life if Harry and yourself didn't go down into the Chamber of Secrets, Whizzley."
"But she really isn't dead now, right Bob?"
"Hey kid - it's your wish..."
WHOOSH - wind again, what is the purpose of this wind - dramatic effect? Now we were in some dark alley, or street. There was a loud BANG and I looked up. There was the Dark Mark. There were dozens of people in masks and dark cloaks running out of houses.
"What's this?"
"This, dear little Whizzley, is what the world would be like if there was no Harry Potter - You-Know-Who would regain all his former strength from getting life from your sister and come to rule once again. Thousands would die; there would be no peace. And -" he pointed to one of the wizards in the dark cloaks. He took down his hood.
"IT'S ME!"
Bob nodded, "Since you never found acceptance with friends during your life in Hogwarts you turned here - where you were accepted."
I looked at myself; laughing maniacally with all the other Death Eaters at the death of muggle borns and seeing the Dark Mark shine in the sky. It was more than sickening. It was more than repulsing. It was even more than terrifying. Was this my life?
"No!" I found myself saying, "NO no No no -"
I jolted upright. Panting and wiping cold sweat off my face. I looked around - I was in the common room - No Bob, no one. I sighed, "What a weird dream."
