Prologue

James Potter can be called a wizard. Yes, a wizard. He has just turned eleven years old and is, unbelievably, one of the last remaining descendants of Godric Gryffindor himself. I could even go as far as letting it leak to you that he is his, the brave hearted Gryffindor's, true heir, but he only gets knowledge of that from the headmaster after he stumbles upon his so-called top secret protection agent in the first term. That very Christmas he learns from the headmaster in detail all about the heir of Slytherin, who, several decades earlier, had graduated from the school he was standing in and how he was in danger and the ways of protection, with the rest of the Marauders.

Our tale begins a just over a month before the start of term of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, on James' birthday. Tearing open all the wrapping of his presents, little does he know that he will actually be there for the famous feast of Hogwarts until he opens that very special letter of his at last. There he begins one of his most exciting adventures yet. He discovers all the secrets of his treasured school, and even joins the Marauders, making the cut for the next generation of them by the test they discover, after finding the map, created by Daniel Potter and his gang.

He helps in the defeat of the dark alchemist Ersatz, nephew and apprentice of Grindelwald, and gets his spot on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as one of the three chasers. He meets his future spouse, Lily Evans, in a very unusual incident in the Forbidden Forest, and over the years, develops a truly one-of-a-kind friendship with her, and all his friends, Sirius, Remus, Mandy, Michelle & Peter.

But there is an evil lurking that threatens to kill off Hogwarts, its students, faculty and ghosts which is what gets James over his grudge with Severus Snape (at least momentarily) as they soon realize they're on the same side subsequently after Voldemort gains in power and knowledge far beyond the Ministry, killing off family lines and attacking Diagon Alley.

In all the years he is at Hogwarts, Gryffindor wins the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup. However, in his fifth year the customary line-up is changed when former seeker Raymond MacDougal is murdered in a Death Eater attack at the 1974 Quidditch World Cup between England and Scotland, and second year Charlie Weasley is recruited as new seeker, becoming a legend on a broomstick, not to mention the youngest school record-setting seeker in a hundred years (that is, until Harry Potter arrived at Hogwarts).

James eventually, after seven full years of certified wizard training, graduates from Hogwarts and marries the love of his life. He goes further into the study of being an auror and gets offered, simultaneously, to play for Puddlemere United and the Chudley Cannons. He has a son and that son, one day, becomes the most famous face in the wizarding world with his lightning bolt scar positioned right in the middle of his forehead.

This is the beginning, where it all began. This is the story of James Potter, father of Harry Potter, beloved husband of Lily Evans, the tale that holds within its vastness the biography and thoughts of an unknown wizard that just happened to be the father of the "Boy Who Lived", and the first ever discovered heir of Gryffindor the Great. The wizard who was partly credited for the fall of Voldemort, and the one who just a few years prior to that, was the capturer of his right-hand man and Muggle-torturer, Naisiven. The legend that lived just before another legend was born.
