More Malfoy

CHAPTER 5

Harry and Ron followed behind Hermione as she walked quickly to a side hallway, rather than to the Gryffindor common room. Once they stopped, Harry and Ron leaned against the wall and tried to catch their breath.

"I can´t believe it. I just can´t!" Hermione said, throwing herself into a chair. "I can´t stand Draco, and now there are TWO Malfoy´s at this school?"

"Well, she didn´t seem too bad," Harry said, walking over to Hermione and putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Not too bad? Are you going mad? She´s a Malfoy! They don´t know the meaning of "nice"! Ron said angrily. "You´re just standing up for her because she was being civil to you!"

Harry stood up quickly. "And so what if I am? Can´t I at least try to think nicely about someone?"

"Sure, you can, but just not about any member of the Malfoy family! The Malfoys have done nothing but make us miserable! Draco is constantly picking on us, especially Hermione. Lucius tries everything to get my father fired from his position at the Ministry. How can you even begin to think about being nice to a family like that?" Ron said.

Harry didn´t have anything to say. Yes, Draco was a nasty kid, and his was the meanest wizard around, but Harry just felt that Denna was different.

Draco watched the Gryfinndor Trio hurry away.

"Such a pleasure to meet you all, especially you, Harry," Draco said in a high pitched voice. Denna gave him a dirty look.

"Why are you looking at me like that? You´re the one who is coming on to Potter!"

"I am not!" Denna replied. "It´s just part of my little plan. I get Harry to think that I fancy him, he begins to trust me, and then, we set the trap."

"Trap? What´s the trap?" Draco asked.

"Well, I´m not sure just yet, but I´m sure that it will be the perfect way to get Harry to come to the Mansion on his own will," Denna responded with a sly smile. Suddenly, she frowned. "Why didn´t you tell anyone that you had a sister?"

Draco scuffed his foot on the hard marble floor. "Well, I just wanted people to think that I was the only Malfoy child. I wanted all the attention," Draco finished, looking at the floor.

"I see," Denna said after a brief pause. "Well, you are going to have to get used to sharing the spotlight, because I have every intention of being just as rotten as you, if not worse," Denna said, smiling.

Draco laughed. It sure was nice to have Denna around again. He thought about all the trouble they used to get into before Denna was sent to France. They both got equal attention then, but after she left, Draco was used to getting everything he wanted. Since Denna had spent every summer in France with friends, He got used to feeling like the only child.

Denna is going to help get rid of Potter. Draco thought. Finally, people will pay attention to me, not him. I will be the one that gets all the girls. It will be my picture on the front page of the Daily Prophet. I will be the one that saves the day. Draco smiled.

Denna tapped on Draco´s arm. "Draco? Are you okay?" she asked.

Draco nodded. "I´m just perfect. Come on, I´ll show you to the common room."
