Hermione flies back from her cousin's wedding only to discover "everyone's decided to go completely mad just because I take two weeks off to go to the States". She decides it's time she took a hand in sorting out the muddle. Meanwhile, the rescue party is encountering even more hitherto undreamed-of hazards - as is the local bird-watching community.

The rescue team has assembled at Lord Voldemort's Top Secret underground research centre - but will they be able to defeat the evilly complicated - and diabolically cliched - defences that are still in place?

Frankly, if you've got this far (and thank you if you have) a summary is frankly superfluous: you will be here purely and simply to see How (or If) They Get Out of That, and who am I to spoil the simple pleasures of anticipation. So I shall, instead, use this space for a word of warning. This chapter contains scenes with such a high "yuck" factor that some of the more squeamish characters had to be bribed with strong drink to continue to appear in this fic. Readers of a sensitive disposition have been warned.
