Chapter 5

"Harry, can you come here a minute? We need to talk"

"Sure Gin, but I swear, whatever it is, I didn't do it."

Ginny laughed as Harry came down the stairs. "No, don't worry, you're not in trouble. At least not yet. I wanted to talk to you about your magic. I can teach you some things, but other things are too difficult. I think you should get a teacher. One of your closest friends is a teacher. His name is Remus Lupin. Now, he's getting old, but his mind is still a sharp as a knife. He was one of your father's best friends growing up. Would you like to meet him?"

Harry thought for a moment. It was horrible not being able to remember anyone except Ginny. I guess I could get reacquainted with him. "Sure, when would we meet?"

"Well, he's teaching in the United States right now, but he should be here in about a month or so. Does that sound good?"

"Sound great. Uh, Ginny?"

"Yeah?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something that's been on my mind for a while."

"Sure, what is it?"

"I wanted to say thanks. You've helped me so much these last few months. Any other person would have given up. You didn't and that means a lot to me. And I wanted to say I love you. It's taken me a while to realize it, but it's true. I love you and I want to marry you and I want to have more kids with you. We can grow old together and watch our family grow. I hope our love never ends."

Ginny was now in tears as she embraced him. "Oh Harry, I love you too! I've waited so long to hear you say that!"

"So I'll take that as a yes?"

"Of course, what did you think I would say?!"

"So, when would you like to get married? And where?"

"As soon as possible! Hm, I would love to get married at my childhood home, right out behind the house. We could hold the ceremony in the old Quidditch field."

"Sounds fantastic. Should we tell everyone now?"

"Definitely! I'll send an owl to mum and dad, Ron and Haley, Fred and girlfriend Angelina, George, Katie and all of their family. Oh Percy will be delighted to know that I'm getting married. He didn't like the fact that I was having a baby without a husband. And I can't forget Charlie! He was always my best friend. Oh Harry, this is going to be wonderful!"

It was a miracle, but within a week, everyone had flown in. Everyone was situated in the tiny living room. Harry and Ginny were upstairs talking. It was time for the big announcement and Ginny was getting nervous.

"Harry, I don't think I can do this."

"Gin, yes you can. This is your family, you grew up with them. Don't be afraid of them. Well, maybe you can be a little bit scared of Fred and George, but that's just them."

Ginny smiled and took a deep breath, releasing it slowly. "OK, as long as you're there."

"Where else would I be when my woman needs me? Lets go down there and tell them."

"OK."

They walked down the stairs leading to the living room. All the talking stopped as everyone looked up with wondering eyes.

Ginny took another deep breath and said, "Everyone, I'm sure you've gathered that we have an announcement to make. I think now is the perfect time to do so."

She was about to go on, but was interrupted by Fred saying, "I hate to break it to you Gin, but we already know about the baby. It's kinda hard not to know."

Everyone laughed (except Percy who just sat there and smiled a bit) and Ginny felt more at ease. "No, not that. Harry and I, well, we're going to get married."

The noise that room took on in a matter of seconds was deafening. Everyone was congratulating Harry and Ginny.

"Oh, Ginny, that's wonderful! My baby's getting married! Oh Arthur, how did she grow up so fast!?"

"Woohoo! Bachelor Party! I assume I am invited?"

"You most certainly are not George Weasly!! I will not have you gallivanting over the magical world and looking at half-naked witches with no moral values!"

"Ha! Sorry, bro! I'll tell you all about it."

"You will not! You won't be going either!"

"Mom, do you think you could babysit Haley on the night of the bachelor party?"

Harry interrupted all the joyous talk of the Bachelor Party. "Don't worry ladies. I don't want a stripper. I think a night on the town with the boys would be great and I promise, every witch we see will be fully clothed!"

The men cheered that they could go, yet were disappointed about the fully-clothed witch thing.
