In the aftermath of Bill and Fleur’s wedding, the guests are interrogated. Neville makes a discovery in the attic, and Ginny comes to an unhappy conclusion about the trio’s plans on the night of the wedding.

A new year begins at Hogwarts, with some unwelcome changes. Snape’s fondness for speeches delaying the start of the feast is soon the least of the worries for the remaining students.

Neville and Seamus fail to hit it off with the Carrows in Dark Arts and Muggle Studies, whilst a fatalistic Ginny throws in her lot with Luna, much to McGonagall’s horror.

With the Quibbler printing pro-Potter stories and the DA going strong despite the administration’s efforts to clamp down, things are looking up as Neville, Luna and Ginny head home for Christmas. But little do they know that only two of them will arrive safely at Platform Nine and Three Quarters.

Neville and Ginny are left reeling in shock after Luna is taken by Death Eaters. Can they rally the DA and reassure the students, despite their own feelings?

The Weasleys face a terrible wait when their clock indicates Ron is in ‘mortal peril’, and must then flee their home when Death Eaters come knocking. Snape ensures Neville has a nasty shock on his return to Hogwarts.

Conditions at Hogwarts worsen as the Carrows demand the seventh year Dark Arts class perform the Cruciatus curse on a first year in detention.

Things begin to unravel for Neville as he tries to motivate a frightened and exhausted DA following Michael’s torture. As the net closes on the leader of the resistance, he realises that he may have to pay a higher price than he could possibly have imagined for his defiance.

Neville is trapped in the Room of Requirement, hungry and lonely. Just when he thinks he can no longer survive, a passageway opens out of the Room. But where does it lead, and will he be able to return?

Neville discovers Snape lied to him about Ginny and Luna, whilst Potterwatch has incredible news about Harry’s antics. As the DA celebrate Harry’s escape from Gringotts, the real thing is closer than they realise…

When Harry finally returns to Hogwarts, Neville and the DA believe the time for revolution has come. But things do not go as they expected…

During a pause in the Battle for Hogwarts, Neville must face up to the consequences of his determination to lead the DA into battle. Harry makes a request to his old friend.
