Chapter Two

Harry could barely see through the fog, but he glanced down at himself and saw he was clothed in a tuxedo with a red and black cape.

"Weird," he muttered, examining it. "Where am I, anyway? What is the place? It feels familiar."

"My prince . . ." a voice called.

Harry looked around to see the speaker and was startled to see that there was a white castle barely visible through the fog with a girl with long hair standing on a balcony.

"Hey!" Harry shouted, running towards her but found he could only get so far to her. "Where am I? What is this place, huh? Who are you?"

But the girl was hidden in shadows and she was looking down at him, her expression hard to read.

"You must bring me the Emperium Silver Crystal, my prince," she said, her voice soft to begin with but becoming softer by the minute. "Find the Emperium Silver Crystal and set me free."

"But why?" Harry asked, astonished. "Did you bring me here? What for? And what's this Emperium Silver Crystal, anyway?" A thought occurred to him that maybe this girl knew something about his past that he didn't. "Who am I? What do you know about me?"

"My prince," the girl repeated as the dream started to end. "Please set me free . . ."

Ripped from his dreams as Ron let out a particularly loud snore, Harry opened his eyes to find that the dormitory was still dark. Why, it couldn't have been more than an hour ago since he went to sleep, he realised with a groan.

"Oh, great," Harry grumbled, running his hands through his hair. "Last year I was dreaming about a stupid door and this year it's about some girl who wants me to bring her some crystal. When is there going to be a year when I get any sleep?"

But why did that place and that girl look so familiar? Harry wondered, leaning against the pillows. He felt some kind of old pain in his chest when he looked at her. The same kind of pain, he realised, that he felt when he had looked directly into Anna's eyes.

She had felt it too, he knew. He could see it in her eyes when she looked at him. Something had happened between them a long time ago and neither of them knew what that something was.

"It's not as if I don't have enough to worry about," Harry muttered. "Now I have to figure out who this girl is and what this Emperium Silver Crystal is that she wants. And how to set this girl free."

"So these three wizards seemed vaguely familiar to you, Anna?" Luna inquired after Anna told her two cat guardians Luna and Artemis what had happened. "I told you, Anna, there were going to be some pretty strange things happening around here when you came. Be careful. They could be from the Negaverse."

"Maybe, Luna, but I doubt it," Anna replied, leaning back against the bathtub. The bathroom was the only place where the three of them could talk without anyone overhearing. Two talking cats were definitely going to arouse suspicion. "I mean, I didn't feel anything like they were Dark Wizards or something. Just the familiarity."

Taking a deep sigh, Anna tried to concentrate on what that pain that she felt when she looked at Harry Potter meant. She had managed to catch their names as they were walking through the common room talking. The raven-haired boy was Harry Potter, the redhead boy was Ron Weasley and the girl was Hermione Granger. But that feeling was so strong that she didn't think it was coincidence that it happened when she looked at Harry.

"You guys?" Anna said suddenly, the thought suddenly occurring to her without warning. "Do you it's possible that Hermione could be another Sailor Scout?"

Both cats exchanged looks and Luna let out a deep sigh. "Well, it's always possible, Anna," she told her calmly. "But we're not ruling out the possibility that she could be with the Negaverse. At least, not yet. We don't know anything about her."

"Point taken," Anna grumbled, brushing out her long ponytails. "But it really just doesn't seem possible that Hermione could be working with the Negaverse to me, you guys. It doesn't make any sense."

"Well, either way, we're not going to be able to sit up all night discussing the possibilities of whether she's one of the Negaverse or not," Artemis pointed out. "Let's hit the sack, shall we? We can go investigating tomorrow."

"I've got classes tomorrow," Anna reminded them. "And I can't miss the first day. That'll be suspicious right off the bat."

"She's got a point there, Artemis," Luna said to the other guardian. "All right, Anna, we'll investigate while you go to class. Then we'll meet up afterwards to see what we've found."

"Sounds like a plan," Anna mumbled, rubbing her eyes and trying to stiffen a yawn.

"Oh and Anna?" Luna added and the teen looked at her. "Try and stop yourself from blowing up the potions lab again, will you?"

Scowling at both cats, who were giggling, Anna opened the bathroom door and over to her four-post bed. Crawling into it as both cats jumped onto it, she curled up and went to sleep.
