Harry Potter and the Tome of Shadows

Sequel to Harry Potter and the Orb of Power.

Despite the usual nightmares and worries, Harrry enjoys life at Privet Drive, now that Ron and Hermione have come over. But amidst the fun and dreams, the O.W.L. results and a bit of romance, Harry finds himself in the beginnings of a struggle between the life he wants for himself and the life he was destined to have.

Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Aunt Petunia are planning on doing some last minute shopping at Diagon Alley, but things go wrong and Aunt Petunia is lost in the Floo Network. Desperate to find his aunt, Harry enlists the aid of Mr. Ollivander to find her before someone else does. But in his search for his aunt, Harry finds out some unpleasant truths and startling revelations.

Harry and Hermione rescue Ron from unconsciousness after the remarkable and shocking news that Percy is the new Minister of Magic, but what comes after is nothing short of magical mayhem, filled with a hilarious talk between Petunia and Harry, the usual awkwardness that accompanies teenage romance, and a new form of magical transformation that makes the Knight Bus look postively harmless.

Finally in Egypt, the trio have loads of fun. Wizarding duels and creature features are just part of the entertainment. But just when Harry is getting used to having a fun filled vacation, he finds himself being swept into an adventure he has no desire in participating in. A crucial chapter, Harry learns of a secret between Ron and Hermione, debates the possibility of sacrifice, and he hears the legend of Furmat, an ancient Egyptian witch who had a book of tremendous power...

Harry, Hermione, and Ron enter the Pyramid of Furmat, but it is not a safe trip. Taking the descent into the pyramid will lead them into the swirling, unpenetrated darkness in order to retrieve Furmat's mysterious book. But the road is more dangerous than they could possibly imagine, and perhaps not all of them will make it out alive...

Captured in the clutches of the insidious Lady Malagar, Harry faces the possibility of losing his friends. When Malagar attempts to retrieve the Tome of Shadows, she uses Ron and Hermione as leverage against Harry. Faced with death, Harry makes a startling choice that will alter his life forever.

After a disastrous visit to Egypt, Harry mulls over his status. Unwilling to put Ron and Hermione in any more danger, Harry decides to cut himself off from his two best friends. But while Harry finds his own status unappealing, it seems that Draco Malfoy is also having a terrible summer. Also; the return of Rita Skeeter, Dudley's mysterious activities, and a mysterious visitor to Hogwarts.

Harry has finally arrived at Hogwarts, but he does not find a place of rest. He has an important meeting with Dumbledore concerning the ancient Tome of Shadows, and he also finds out about the mysterious visitor to Hogwarts this year. But as the mystery deepens, Harry finds himself experiencing visions of a black dog that looks eerily like Sirius...

Harry begins his first day of classes at Hogwarts with a career advising appointment with Professor McGonagall. But the real test begins when he attends his first class with Mrs. Weasley as his professor, and when he has his first Advanced Potions class with Professor Snape. The school year definitely does not start on a positive note.
