Thank you to everyone who has read this fic (whether they liked it or not) my faithful reviewers and El Mann and Kat Turner who have mentioned me in their author's notes! Oh, I almost forgot thank you to Ditzy_Devil_Gurl and Bella who, without their encouraging threats I would not be over the word limit!

Love is a many splendid thing,

Love lifts us up where we belong

All you need is love!

Moulin Rouge

"Granger, PAY ATTENTION!" Snape roared.

"Now that Granger has returned to earth, I would like to announce the new seating plan." He read down the list.

"Time to split up our little trio, Granger to Malfoy, Potter to Patil and Weasley to Zabini," he said as he let out a smug little laugh.

"Have fun."

Hermione could hardly contain her excitement. A whole month next to Draco! It may have just been her but she thought Draco looked a little happy too. She plonked her bag next to his.

"Hey, darling," Draco whispered in her ear.

Hermione smiled to herself. How many girls would kill for the chance to be with Draco?

Draco passed her a note under the table. She unscrewed it and read it.

Why don't we go and * study* up at

Secret room

tonight.

Much love,

Draco

P.S I won't take no

For an answer!

She looked at him and smiled.

"Now, to make the stupidity potion you must take the wing of bat and snarkle tooth, put them on high for 20 minutes, then stir 'till light green. Now, I think the person on the left side of the desk will take the potion." He smiled to himself. "This will be interesting."

Hermione was shocked. Who knows what kind of things she could blurt out?

"Hermione Granger, stupid? Those words just don't work together," Draco whispered to her.

"Oh, better watch out! My favourite ex is giving us the evils!"

Hermione turned around and there was Blaise, giving Hermione the most evil look ever. She was amazed that she hadn't burned to a crisp with a look like that on her.

Half an hour later the potions were ready to drink.

"Now take a flask and drink it all. The effects should only last for a few minutes," Snape ordered.

Hermione lifted the flask to her lips. It was really quite good. Kinda...kinda like that thing um...it was like, a fruit thing and like, green and red and um...yeah it was like, an um...Apple!

Hermione was impressed with herself! She had remembered what that fruit thing was!

"Hermione, are you okay?" Draco asked.

"Yeah, yeah um...I'm um...like...that thing um...Fine!" Hermione said slowly.

Draco burst into laughter. Hermione queen of brains was acting...stupid!

"Um...yeah about tonight um...can you remind me what it was?"

Draco whispered it into her ear.

"Yeah that sounds like...great!" Hermione's eyes lit up. The effects of the potion were starting to wear off.

"I had a great time yesterday night Draco. So what time should we meet? About...nine?"

"I'm glad the effects are starting to wear off, and yes, nine o'clock should be fine."

* * *

Draco paced back and forth. It was nine o'clock on the dot and he was meeting her outside the entrance of their secret room. He had spent two hours preparing it.

"Draco!" Hermione said quietly. She was dressed in a stylish black dress with stiletto's and a silver choker around her neck.

In all of Draco's life he had never seen anything more attractive to him.

He took her hand and led her through the entrance of the room.

Hermione gasped. The room was not how she had remembered it. In fact, it was hardly a room at all! A small waterfall gushed down a gentle river, which was winding through a small clearing with wildflowers growing here and there. The trees loomed over in a mysterious way and she could tell by the lighting that it was late evening.

"You like it?" he asked.

"Draco, it's the most gorgeous place in existence," Hermione gasped.

"I should bloody well hope so, it only took me two hours to make." Draco grinned cheekily.

He reached for a picnic basket sitting behind a clump of bushes. He spread out a blanket.

"Now, mademoiselle which dish interests you?" Hermione reached out for the caviar and the crackers. They had a feast of the most exotic foods. Harry would never dream of trying them.

"Now to get to the most important part of the evening; Studying!"

Draco leaned heavily against Hermione placing his lips gently against the soft opening of her mouth. He breathed in her scent. It was like peaches and cherries. It suited her so well.

Hermione gripped Draco's arms. She pulled herself against him. Draco loved resistance and confrontation in all forms but this was wonderful all the same.

Breathing heavily, Hermione parted for a moment just to stare into Draco's eyes. "Wow" Was all Draco could manage.

He let his tongue lovingly trace her mouth. Then he slid his tongue inside her mouth. She met his and there they were standing next to a waterfall completely engaged in *studying*.

Draco stopped and just wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead tenderly. Hermione pressed her cheek against his chest and stood there motionless.

"Now that we are a little past first names how about some nicknames?" Draco asked.

Hermione nodded in agreement still wrapped in Draco's arms.

"Now Hermione yours is obvious. Peaches!"

"Why Peaches, Draco?"

"Because you smell like peaches and you're absolutely delicious!" Draco smirked.

Hermione thought about it. Well Draco was very pretty and delicious too so maybe...

"Creampuff," she said definitely.

"Creampuff? I was thinking more along the lines of horny devil but Creampuff will do." They laughed.

"Well I could hardly call you condensed milk could I? But pink lemonade's a thought..."

Draco grabbed Hermione and tickled her.

"Now that will do, Miss Granger!"

"Draco, do you love me?" She smiled lovingly into his eyes.

"Do I love you? If your love were a grain of sand mine would be a beach! If your love was a leaf..." Hermione stopped him in mid sentence.

"Hang on, Creampuff, I'm still thinking about the first one...So...You love me heaps then."

Draco rolled his eyes. "God woman, you're supposed to be the smartest girl in the year! Of course I love you!"

"Oh, I'm so glad! I love you too!" She kissed him lightly.

"Which is why, I got you this." He pulled out a green velvet box. Inside was a long chain ending with a Dragon winding itself around a huge ruby. Hermione gaped.

"Oh, Creampuff that is so romantic!" She kissed him again a bit more passionately.

"Good thing the Christmas holidays are coming up or we may not have had much time for this!"

He kissed her lightly on the cheek.

"Now my succulent peach, I must be going and so must you. It is midnight and we have Transfiguration coming up."

Hermione lay in bed staring at her necklace. She turned it over and there was an inscription inside a heart.

Forever and a day

In case you were wondering this isn't the end either there are at least two more chapters to go but finally the title makes sense! "Draco loved resistance and confrontation in all forms" was from 'Draco's delicate condition' by Alice In Muggleland and "Do I love you? If your love were a grain of sand mine would be a beach!" Is from one of my faveourite classics 'The Princess Bride'
