Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs. Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes. Being vexed, a sea nourished with lovers' tears. What is it else? Madness most discreet, a choking gall and a preserving sweet.
~ William Shakespeare

Oh my god I just walked into what may be the hottest girl in the school. Please don't be stupid and insult...

"One side, Mudblood."

NNNOOOOOOOOOO! She knew I was kidding; she HAS to know I'm kidding; please, God, let her know I was kidding...

"Oh, my God, Draco, is that a hair out of place?" Hermione spread a mock look of concern on her face.

Draco automatically checked his reflection in the mirror. Damn her! His Ravenclaw fan club looked frantically over his shoulder. Draco was always perfect. He had to be, it was his nature.

Okay, next move. Get rid of Fan club once and for all.

"Don't you guys have something better to do like...study?" The girls looked a bit hurt and disappeared. How could anyone like being in Ravenclaw. It was so well, nerdy. Hold on a minute weren't Ravenclaws supposed to be the sluts of Hogwarts? He had no idea how that worked.

Draco decided to go and torment Harry. His favourite game.

"Oh look it's Scarhead and his trusty side kick, Guy, who hasn't had a date since 4th year." Draco sneered. Nothing better than a good insult in the morning.

"Clear off, Veela."

"Hey can I help it if I'm beautiful?"

"Well, along with been a vain bastard..."

"Blow me."

This chain of insults went on for a while until:

"Well, why don't you just shove your wand up your...Hello, Madam Rosemerta!" Draco smiled.

"So, the usual?"

Draco always ordered a decaffeinated trim latte in a glass. His father always said that was the drink his mother ordered when she was pregnant to which Draco responded that he turned out fine so why stop with the drink?

"Well hate to leave you ladies alone but I have several dates to attend today," he exited in his usual swaggering fashion onto the street.

Hermione smiled to herself. Draco hadn't really changed much since the fifth year. Sure he had gotten nicer but he still couldn't resist insulting her although now it was more teasing than full out nastiness.

The Quidditch pitch was filled with students. The teams now had their own cheerleading teams. Parvati had made a complaint because she couldn't cheer for the Slytherin team as well.

"Ok, for sure, Gryffindors got the best score, the sun up there, is shining down on us right here, 33 44 I don't care 'bout the other team's score! Go, go, fight, fight, God I hope Gryffindors all right. YEAH!!!"

They finished with their usual pyramid. This was no ordinary Quidditch match. This was the season kick-off, Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. Hermione raced back from the Gryffindor changing rooms. She was just giving the chasers (Holly, Parvati and Lavender) a pep talk. Hermione wasn't on the team but she would design plans for them.

The teams walked out onto the pitch. The Slytherin team looked particularly smug for some reason. The Slytherin chasers Pansy, Blaise and Lana (also known as the house sluts) were known to play dirty.

"The Quaffle is released, and the game commences!"
