Hermione was sitting on the train back to Hogwarts for her final year. The same thought was spinning around her head, why me?
Last year Harry and Draco had been forced to work together to defeat Draco's father. It had been a really tough time for Draco and Hermione had fallen in love with him although she could never admit it to Draco. She had confided in Harry telling him that she was confused about her feelings for someone, Unfortunately he had gotten the wrong message and asked her out. Hermione felt she could not refuse. Draco and Parvati Patil had started going out and they had gone on a double date. Parvati and Harry got along fine but Draco and Hermione hadn't talked to each other since.
Hermione looked out the window, a tear falling down her cheek. It's funny how you don't appreciate something till it's gone. Harry came into the cabin. "Hey darling, What's wrong?" He looked concerned. "It's... it's nothing. Just the fact that we're leaving Hogwarts this year." Harry sat down next to her. "I know but we have to move on." He leaned in to kiss her and she quickly turned her cheek so he just got some hair. It was a skill she had mastered.
The countryside whizzed past. Hermione decided to take a walk down the carriage she came to Draco's cabin. He was asleep. He looked so peaceful lying there, his icy blue eyes shut tight and his blonde fringe hanging limply. She longed to touch him, to caress him to kiss those lips. She carried on down the carriage making sure no-one had seen her

Draco snapped open his eyes he was sure someone had been staring at him through the carriage door. His senses had improved since the night he and Harry had killed his father. And he had fallen for Hermione. She had taught him there was more to life than power. He would give anything for one moment with her to tell her how he felt but she was going out with Harry why would she choose him over Harry. He had everything going for him; good looks, Excellent Quidditch skills and head boy. Now he had the girl he loved. How could anyone NOT be jealous? He liked Parvati but only as a friend.
He sighed. Hermione had become prettier over the years from a frizzy buck toothed brunette girl, to a straight teethed, tall, attractive woman. He wasn't so bad himself which he didn't mind admitting. His mother Nacissa Malfoy had re-met with Surius Black and had become good friends. It was a little strange having your mother good friends with your rival's god father but he couldn't complain. Sirius was nice to him unlike his father which he had gotten rid of.
The train pulled up outside Hogwarts. Draco stepped out, happy to be back. Ron was waiting for him. They had become good friends since last year. " Hey there Draco how was summer?" Ron questioned with a grin on his face. Ron never ceased to amaze him. Always cheery as hell. They walked inside the castle and gasped. The teachers had really out done themselves this year. The tables shimmered with the house colours he sat down ready for a long night.
