All was well.

Not everything in the world can be deemed as certain. Just like time, problems come and go, often sparking up new friendships, old rivalries, and even other lives. It's the circle of life; drama and heartache intact, obstacles are bound to stray everybody's paths, and everybody is bound to hurdle them to bigger and better things.

Well, almost everybody. After all, like everybody knows, Harry Potter is not your run-of-the-mill kind of guy.

Sure, he had lived quite a normal life for the past nineteen years, save the random constant staring and muttering that seemed to follow him wherever he went. Some things, however, were never going to change. While the destruction and pain was left in the past, the scar still lived on in the spirit of every wizarding soul, bringing the fluttering feeling of safety and a new beginning in its wake.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione went back for their final year at Hogwarts, under quite a lot of change. The Defense Against the Dark Arts post was taken by a young Hufflepuff graduate by the name of Eric Ahriman (who, I might add, still holds this post today), while the death of Professor Flitwick left the Charms curriculum in shambles. This job bounced between many teachers before an avid young man by the name of Percy Weasley settled in. He continues to teach to this day, passing down his intellect to every little kid who dared put the now burned Sorting Hat on their head.

Their year went by without any problems, and right after their graduation, Ron and Hermione were married, with Harry and Ginny following suit just a year later. For "The Boy Who Lived", everything seemed like a dream - his life, for once, was normal. He was married, free from harms way, and, believe it or not, alive. In his mind, life could not get any better.

Immediately following his promotion into the working world, Harry, along with Ron, began his intense Auror training. What he thought would take just weeks lengthened out to years, until he was finally qualified to call himself one of the elite in wizarding law enforcement. Today, the duo are two of the top Aurors, and have more captures as partners than any others in British history. Hermione took a similar path, except a more "mental" approach. In her path she was forced to take the British Assessment of Wizarding Law (the BAWLs, or Crybaby Test, for short), which she passed with ease. Getting some of the best scores in history, she was instantly propelled into a top spot in the Department of Wizarding Law Enforcement. As of now, she is the head of the Magical Theory office, and has been a cornerstone in rewriting the new Ministry laws. In fact, she is arguably the most successful of the three friends, and has been a shoe-in choice for the Wizengamot ever since her inception into the Ministry.

Ginny took an opposite path compared to the other three. Instead of putting herself behind a desk or putting her life on the line, she has spent her short life out of school in journalism. At first, Ginny put a few editorials into the Daily Prophet, but was quickly issued a weekly column in regards of her high prestige in the wizarding world. She decided to take this time to go on an adventure of sorts, collecting information about those who had fought in the "Great War". Needless to say, she didn't miss a beat. The articles were what brought the Prophet back to life after Death Eater infiltration, and her works brought her to the spot she holds today: Assistant Editor.

It took them quite a long time, but, eventually, the two couples extended to their families. Hermione gave birth to a boy and a girl, named Rose Muriel and Hugo Octoviel, respectively. Ginny also gave birth to a girl and a boy, but added another male to the mix. They named their oldest boy James Isaac Potter after Harry's prematurely deceased father, and their youngest, Lily Anna Potter, after his also deceased mother. The most unique of the children, however, would have to be the middle of the two. Instead of being given a contemporary name of sorts, the boy was named after two of the greatest wizards of the time, two wizards who risked their lives for the Potter name: his name was Albus Severus Potter, the name obvious to anybody who even had the smallest dabble of wizarding blood coursing their veins.

George was the last to get married in the family, not to mention the only one who didn't change for a second. Though the grief of losing his twin wrecked him more than any else, what was lost in body only added to spirit. In short, what was lost in Fred seemed to possess George, as if his brother was there right beside him all along. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes boomed after the war, and is now a multi-million galleon company, with six stores worldwide, including two in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Penny Urligard, the first secretary hired to work by the twins, was the lucky lady to walk down the aisle with George, but the unlucky woman to carry the Weasley curse - many kids, in this case triplets. Given the names Keira, Adam, and Dora (most likely after after Nymphadora Tonks), the three join James as third year Gryffindors.

Bill and Fleur decided to have just one child, which they named Victoire after an acquaintance of theirs who had died in the war. She is currently in her seventh year, not to mention the fact that she's dating Teddy Lupin, a wizard two years removed from school, orphaned at about a year old. Raised by his grandmother, along with his Godfather, he is currently training to become an Auror, but keeps delaying the testing in order to see his girlfriend off for school, send her lengthy letters, visit her at Hogsmeade, and spend the summer with her, among other things. It's safe to say that he is madly in love with the quarter veela, and that things can only go up for him.

Let's rephrase that - everything can only go up for everyone. It's been nineteen years under the rule of Minister Shacklebolt, and the days keep getting better and better. The wizarding population is rising, the death toll is falling, and everything is evening itself out again.

And yet the circle of life still spins. What is now considered good is bound to become bad, and the world is destined to be turned upside down yet again. If these problems are still far away, well, that is up for you to decide. However, as each generation comes and goes, a bigger problem unfolds itself, rearing its ugly head and biting down into the masses, creating a cross for everyone to bear. Like always, though, the good will prevail, and the sun will rise again, and life will just keep getting better and better. Nothing could possibly trump the past...

Right?

Please note tha this is a prequel, and is the only reason the length is as it is. I'm looking to make my chapters anywhere from 5000-7000 words, but it really all depends on how fast this plot takes flight, and how much I'm willing to let loose... so don't fret -- and please stick with this fic. I love the direction that it's going in, and I'm very picky on what Iread. It promises not to disappoint... I hope. Also, I need a beta reader for the next chapter, and, if they are up to the daunting task, the rest of this fic... If you wanna help me out in this department, just send me a private message. I promise many famous Chocolate Frog Cards in return for your services!
