Happy Reading!!!

(Harry’s POV)

"Remus, I think something’s wrong with Tyler. She’s on the floor. We asked what was wrong, but she just said she wanted to go to her room," I said quickly.

"I’m sure she’s just tired. And I’m sure she’s upset about...you know. She can have Sirius’s old room."

"Yeah, you’re right."

We began to ascend the stairs. As I looked at Tyler, my scar began to burn. Why’d she look so angry? The pain went as suddenly as it had come. I wonder what it meant?

(Tyler’s POV)

They took me to my father’s old room and said it was mine now. I stepped inside and quickly shut the door behind me. Once their footsteps could no longer be heard, I let out the scream that had been lurking in my throat. My arm was killing me!

As the pain began to dull, I got up from the floor and made my way to the bed. It was the most comfortable thing I’d ever laid on. Sleep came in an instant.

****************

So dark. It was always dark here, though. They were coming. Coming to get me. To make me one of them.

"NO! I’ll never join you!" I spat.

"Oh, but I think you will!" HE sneered.

"NO!" But there was no escape.

Many hands were holding me down. Then a man with silver blonde hair came into the room witha boy who looked just like him.

"Lucius, would you care to do the honors?" the cold voice of my captor hissed.

"Yes, my Lord," he replied. "Draco...stay out of the way."

"Yes, father."

"NO!" I shrieked.

"Shut up, you filth," the man yelled as he smacked me.

"PLEASE!" I cried.

Everyone laughed at me, except for the boy in the corner, who looked like he might be sick.

As the man called Lucius came near me with the brand, I felt tears escaping my eyes, making them all laugh harder.

"No, please," I said, more quietly.

I looked at the boy in the corner as I felt the white hot pain on my right forearm. I began to scream.

There was only one pair of hands on my now, caressing my face in a comforting way. I opened my eyes in mid-scream to find myself in a comfortable bed. Remus Lupin was sitting near me, looking worried.

"Tyler, ssshhh. It was only a dream."

"No, it really happened. It was real."

"Do you want to talk about your dream?"

"No! No, I’m fine," I said shakily.

"Are you sure?" I nodded. "Do you want a dreamless-sleep potion?"

"Um...no." A what? "I should be fine now."

"Okay. Let me know if you change your mind," he said, getting up and leaving.

When he was gone, I pulled up my sleeve to see the symbol that was haunting my dreams: a skull with a snake coming out of it’s mouth.

******************

I didn’t sleep the rest of the night. When it was light out, I went downstairs. I went into the kitchen and found a group of people I didn’t know.

"Morning," I said with false cheeriness.

They all continued to stare, puzzled. Luckily for me, Mrs. Weasley came up behind me.

"Good morning, Tyler. These are some of my children. That’s Ginny, Fred, and George. That’s my husband, Arthur," she said, pointing as she went. "This is Tyler. She’s Sirius’s daughter and she’ll be going to Hogwarts with you kids."

"Hello," They said together, looking a little shocked, but wanting to be polite all the same.

"Tyler, why don’t you sit and have a spot of breakfast. Then you can have a shower and get dressed. The headmaster from Hogwarts, Professor Dumbledore, will be here this afternoon and you’ll need to talk to him," Molly said.

"Okay," I replied eagerly. I was quite hungry and needed a shower....badly.

Breakfast was fairly quiet. Fred and George told me about their joke shop. Ginny asked me my age and why I hadn’t been to Hogwarts yet. Molly told her to mind her business, which I was thankful for. Hermione came down when I was finishing up and said hello.

"Tyler, when the boys wake up the three of us wanted to talk to you, okay?"

"Yep."

"Don’t forget, we’re going to Diagon Alley today, Hermione," Mrs. Weasley interjected.

"I know," she replied.

" I’m going to have my shower now. Thank you, Mrs. Weasley. Breakfast was brilliant."

"There’s some clothes for you on your bed," she called after me.

Relieved to be alone again, I quickly ran to my room. As Mrs. Weasley had said, there was an outfit on my bed, on top of which was a not that read:

    Tyler,

Hermione is giving you these clothes. We’ll get you more in Diagon Alley.

    Mrs. Weasley

My shower felt so good, as I’d not had one in a while. The clothes, a nave blue knee skirt, a pale yellow tank-top with navy blue flowers, and pale yellow knee socks, were a bit loose, but they were the nicest clothes I’d ever owned. The ensemble didn’t quite go with my fading red sneakers, which were dirty, old converses with many holes, but I didn’t mind in the least.

When I got downstairs, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were waiting for me. I avoided Harry’s eyes as he spoke to me.

"Could we all talk, Tyler?" he asked.

"Uh....I....I..." I stuttered.

Luckily Mrs. Weasley came in and said that Professor Dumbledore had arrived and was ready to see me.

"I have to go," I said quickly to the three of them.

Mrs. Weasley led me to a door down the hallway and told me to go in.

Inside, an elderly man and woman were sitting. They introduced themselves as Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

"Hello," I said, not knowing what else to do.

"Please, sit down, Tyler." I obliged.

He told me so much. He told me about Hogwarts and the story of the famous Harry Potter. He told me a bit about himself, too. McGonagall sat beside him, silently.

"You are to attend Hogwarts, Tyler." I nodded.

"You are sixteen, am I correct?" I nodded, again.

"You’ve missed the first five years of your magical education. You’ll have to make them up before you can join your fellow sixteen-year-olds in sixth year. You’ll have private lessons until we think you are ready. You’ll have to work extra hard, Tyler. Teaching you five years worth of magic in half of a year won’t be easy on anyone involved, especially you." When he was finished, he looked at me as if trying to figure out whether or not I could handle it.

"I can do it, Sir. I know I can."

He nodded. "I know. I’ll want to see you in my office once you get to Hogwarts."

"Okay." And with that, he let me go.

I was finally going to Hogwarts. Finally going to the place I wanted to be at since that day long ago when I’d received my letter of acceptance.

After a quiet and uncomfortable lunch, during which I was stared at by many, we left, by floo powder, for Diagon Alley.
