The Kidnapping

Harry is kidnapped by an old wizard and taken to North America, where he will be used as bait to lure both Dumbledore and Voldemort from England. Will his captor's plot succeed, or will Harry be able to escape? Includes elements from The Lord of the Rings (though this is not a true crossover story).

The Dursleys are visited by an unusual woman claiming to work for the Muggle government. But is she?

Harry is forcibly taken from the Dursleys, with Cho as the hostage to keep him from resisting.

Voldemort and Dumbledore plan their moves in the aftermath of the kidnap.

Voldemort and the Death Eaters make a grab for Harry.

Lupin and Black debate whether or not to bring Ron and Hermione along. Salisbury and Scott grill Harry.

Remus and Sirius arrive at the Burrow, hoping to convince the Weasleys to let them take Harry's friends. And then someone else shows up...

Snape has a midnight meeting with Voldemort and Wormtail. Salisbury plans to slip Harry a "gift." Dumbledore and company take a Portkey to New York.

Dumbledore and his rescue party arrive in New York City, where they are met by Alastor Moody. Later, Sirius, Remus and the kids make a not-so-pleasant discovery.

Harry meets one of Connor Salisbury's friends and co-conspirators.

Wormtail tries to break in, and Harry makes a break for it.

Harry and Cho make their way to the town of Mount Solon to see if they can find Dumbledore.

Harry, Cho, and Moody are at an Order of the Phoenix safe house in New York City. Too bad they won't get to stay there long.

An encounter with Lord Voldemort on a suburban sidewalk in the darkness before dawn.

Harry spends the day recovering from the morning's ordeal.
