The Werewolf Cub

Remus sighed as he gazed at the sky. It was a warm summer night with a light breeze that rippled the tree leaves. The sky was clear and brilliant with its glowing silvery stars that stared down at the now sleeping London. The night had a sense of calm as the moon was to be uncovered by the gray clouds.

Remus changed into a ragged set of wizard robes. He was preparing for his monthly transformation, which he never looked forward to. He gazed at the sky one last time before heading into his backyard and into a hole in the ground, which led to an old cellar. He locked the door behind him after carefully climbing a few rungs down the steep ladder.

The cellar was part of the house, which he had moved into after his last year at Hogwarts. It was an old muggle house dating from the 1700s. The cellar had been used to keep the former owners' stocks of meats and other foods fresh. Remus locked himself in the cellar on full moon nights so he could transform into a werewolf without attracting the attention of his neighbors, and preventing himself from harming anyone.

"Here we go again Remus. Another pleasant full moon night of ripping yourself apart," he said to himself while waiting for the curse of the bite to take effect.

He felt stiff around his body and fell to his knees. He cried out from the pain of the fur sprouting from his body, which felt like a million needles poking out of his skin. His nails turned long and sharp. His teeth grew larger and fangs slowly appeared. His body felt like it was on fire, and he soon grew a tail and wolfish ears. The pain finally stopped, and he was now on all fours panting loudly. Energy burst through his body and a hunger for soft flesh crept into his thoughts. He ran around the cellar searching for a way out. He ripped at his paws and tore at the tables and chairs in the room. His blood added to the already bloodstained floor. He howled loudly and scratched at his face.

After hours of tearing apart the cellar and himself, Remus noticed that the moon had disappeared and had been replaced by the grayish dismal morning sky. Remus lay down on the torn-up couch he had placed there for a quiet rest after his transformation. He closed his eyes and rested for some moments while his body returned to normal.

He finally got up, unlocked the trapdoor, and climbed out to the cool morning air. He took a deep breath. He started towards his house when he heard a soft whimper in the forest. Thinking it only to be a lost dog or a forest animal he continued on his way. But another whimper was followed by a soft cry of pain. After hearing a heavy thump, he finally began looking into the forest. At first he saw nothing but dew-covered grass and clusters of trees, but then he spied a small figure sprawled on the ground next to a large pine tree.

Remus rushed over and found a child. She had blood dripping from her arms and legs. Her robes were torn in places where they seemed to have been ripped out. The girl's face was scratched, and blood covered her pale scarred face. She looked at him with a look of confusion. He saw that she could not get up so he gently lifted her up and carried her into the house. He laid her down gingerly on a spare bed with towels under her. He cleaned himself off with a wet towel and came back to the child who seemed to be trying to get up. Lupin gently held her back and pushed her down. She whimpered.

"It's best that you rest. You seem to have gotten yourself quite torn up," Lupin said with a slight smile.

"You don't have to do this," she replied. "I can go home and take care of my cuts. You don't need to bother with me."

"You live here?" said Lupin. "I've never seen you around here."

"I don't go out much. I just moved here this past week. I can walk to my house from here," she continued as she made another painful attempt to stand up.

Lupin gently pushed her back down and smiled.

"You are a bit too weak and tired, it seems, to walk or even stand up. Plus, it is no trouble to me to let you rest here awhile." said Lupin as he rubbed a healing potion on her leg wounds.

"I really appreciate you trying to help me and all but I really need to go home," she said as she looked at the door.

"I am afraid I can't let you leave in till your leg heals a bit more for you to be able to walk. But while you are here you can tell me what happened to you. And maybe I can get your name. And to make this a bit more fare, my name is Remus Lupin," he said as he began to apply potion on her arms and face.

The girl gave up trying to leave. She lay down and started her story.

"My name is Lee."

Lee thought about the past night and did not know if this man would understand her problem. Would he try to kill her if she told him she was a werewolf?

The thoughts cluttered her mind while she tried to think of a way to tell this man how she ended up scratched up in the forest. She could already tell he was a wizard from the potion he rubbed onto her leg that had taken effect immediately.

She sighed. I guess I have nothing to lose, she thought to herself.

Lupin sat and patiently waited for Lee to begin.

"I used to live in America before my parents were given a new post in England. I really did not agree with this, but I had no choice. Two weeks before we left, I took a walk to the park in my backyard to gaze one last time at the moon and stars. It was a full moon that night and I was so caught up in my thoughts that I did not see the creature that came towards me. Before I could get away or even glance back I was dragged to the ground by a werewolf."

Lee shivered at the memory and continued, "I got up quickly and the werewolf jumped up and bit me on the shoulder. I ran away as fast as I could but it caught up and grabbed me by the leg and pulled me back to the ground. Luckily a muggle came and flashed a flashlight (I think that's what they call it) and the werewolf ran away," said Lee looking at Lupin for his reaction.

"Continue," Lupin said to her surprise.

She took a deep breath and continued her story.

"I ran as fast as I could away from the muggle. I was limping because my leg was injured, which made the getaway a bit difficult. I got home and hurried into the shower to clean my cuts so my parents wouldn't notice. I was scared they would hurt me. I knew in my heart they would not really hurt me, but I was really scared and never told them. We left the next week, earlier than expected. We got to London and stayed at a temporary house. The next morning my parents had to go to work, and I had to stay home." Lee paused.

"So you never told your parents you were bitten by a werewolf?" Lupin asked.

"No ," she whispered.

Lupin saw she was ashamed of her mistake and let her continue her story.

"I stayed home all day and looked at my wounds. I looked in my parents' bookshelves for information about werewolves and only found chapters on how to kill a werewolf and werewolf trials. That night, my parents never came home, and I became worried. An owl appeared at the window, and I took its message. The letter..." Lee started to shake and could not speak. A trickle of tears ran down her scratched cheek.

Lupin grabbed a tissue, and wiped the tear away. He could already guess what she was going to say, but he let her tell the rest.

"The letter told me that my parents were killed by a group of masked wizards. My parents were Aurors on a mission to gather information on the plans of the Death Eaters. The Death Eaters found and killed them. I got scared and ran away from the house to this neighborhood to hide. The Death Eaters were looking for our house to get files on our government's plans. I forgot it was a full moon, and when night came I had my first transformation and ended up here." Lee ended her story.

Lee yawned. Lupin was tired as well from his transformation and decided it was best for them both to rest. He got up after rubbing a little bit more potion on Lee's face then told her that it would be best to discuss what to do after they rested.

Lee laid awake for a while thinking about the events from the other day and started to feel tears once more trickle down her cheek. Lee felt calm and safe in Lupin's house. She felt as though everything was going to be all right and her troubles were just a vapor, small clear clouds floating in the far distance of a world in her dreams. She soon fell asleep, not thinking that her life would change after that day.

Lupin changed out of his torn robes into a clean set of night robes he had laid out neatly for his return. He laid in bed thinking about what to do with the child. She had nowhere to go, and she was a loose werewolf, putting her and others in danger. He stayed with that thought until he fell asleep.

Lupin woke at seven in the evening and checked on Lee. Lee was also awake; she was sitting on the couch daydreaming. Lupin decided to make supper and while Lee ate he sent an owl out with a letter telling Sirius about Lee and asking what he should do.

Lee ate her supper and felt stronger and happier than she had felt that morning. Lupin sat down and asked her about other relatives she could contact, and learned that she was the last of her family. Lupin decided to tell Dumbledore as well about Lee. He suspected that Dumbledore would know what to do. Lupin grabbed a jar from the top of the fireplace and tossed some powder into the blazing hot fire, causing it to flicker and turn a bright purple. Lupin crouched down and put his head into the fire and appeared in Dumbledore's office in Hogwarts.

Dumbledore looked at Lupin's head and smiled.

"Well hello Mister Lupin. How have you been?" said Dumbledore cheerfully.

"I have been well. Or as well as I can get, being away from Hogwarts," replied Lupin as he returned the smile.

"You can always have your job back. We are still in need of a Dark Arts professor," commented Dumbledore.

"You know I can't do that since Snape told everyone that I am a werewolf," replied Lupin solemnly.

"Ah yes. That is quite true. So what have you come to say, Remus? I don't believe you are just paying a friendly visit," said Dumbledore as he drew closer to the fire.

Lupin told the Dumbledore what happened. He told him about finding Lee in his backyard and Lee's story.

"What should I do with her now? I can't just let go to an orphanage," said Lupin with a weary sigh.

"Remus, I remember when you first came to Hogwarts. No other school would accept you. You say she is fourteen, right?" asked Dumbledore.

"Yes," replied Lupin.

"You know we can do as we did with you when you attended Hogwarts, and let her go to the Shrieking Shack each month."

"So you say I should let her stay here all summer?" asked Lupin.

"Yes Remus. I believe you will make a good father, as you were an exceptional professor."

Lupin blushed. He looked around the office and was reminded strongly of his old school years. He smiled and thanked Dumbledore for his help.

"Remember Lupin, school starts September first. Try to teach Lee everything you can that will cover four years of studies of wizardry."

Lupin nodded. He knew it would be hard to give Lee such knowledge in such a short period of time. Dumbledore, as though he could read Lupin's thoughts, encouraged him with his well-known warm smile. Lupin could not help but to smile back. He said goodbye to Dumbledore and slowly backed his head out of the fireplace.

Lupin turned around two to light blue eyes watching him attentively. He looked at Lee and for the first time noticed her appearance. She was short for her age. She had short curly brown hair with gold tips. She showed him a pair of broken gold-rimmed glasses in her hands. He got out his wand and muttered under his breath "reparo" and tapped the glasses with his wand. Lee looked at him and smiled. Lupin smiled back.

"Thank you," she said.

"You will be learning spells like that soon," said Lupin. "Have you learned any magic at all in your school?"

"No, not really. We usually learn about history, foreign languages, poetry, literature, care of magical creatures, and potions. And sometimes we do astronomy," said Lee "It's pretty much illegal to own a wand till you are 16. Our government is afraid of anyone younger than that having a wand. They think they will cause trouble."

"What do you mean I will be learning spells soon?" asked Lee finally noticing what Lupin had really said.

"Only if you wish to stay here and learn them," said Lupin. " By what you have told me in your story, you have no other place to live. Unless you have a family member you can go live with?"

Lee drooped her head. "No, I really don't have any family members left to go to."

Lupin thought for a second deciding what to do about her home. She definitely could not stay with him. He could not afford to bring her up with his poor paying job that he was sure to lose as soon as his boss found out what he was. After her first year in Hogwarts, where would she go? She could not go anywhere else, as he had already told himself.

"If you want to, you can stay here for as long as you wish," said Lupin.

"Thank you. I believe I would like to learn what magic you can teach me."

Lupin breathed deeply. He thought to himself, Lupin, you do not know what you have gotten yourself into.

" First, I believe you need a wand. I already have books from my years in Hogwarts that you can use. You need parchment, quills, and a pet, of course. We shall get these in Diagon Alley. I need to give you four years' worth of hard miserable witch studies. I will give you immeasurable piles of work, and you will be tied to a desk and never sleep in, till you learn everything you need to know before your school term starts," said Lupin.

He looked at Lee's face, which showed pure shock. Lupin laughed.

"Don't worry, I will not be that hard on you," he said.

Lee's face relaxed and she laughed.

The following day Lee had chosen a room in the house to be permanently hers. She decided to take the room she was put in the night Lupin had discovered her. It was a nice room. It was a small room, but it was big enough for her liking. The room had one window that had a light blue shade that matched the color of the walls. It had a dresser and a small bookshelf.

After arranging the room then rearranging it to perfection, Lupin, now sweating, decided it was time for them to go and get Lee's school supplies. ("Or at least the wand and cauldron)

Lupin started towards his basement and beckoned Lee with a wave of his hand to follow. They made their way down the small flight of stairs leading into the basement. A dusty old cauldron sat in one of the dark corners caught Lee's eye. Dusty boxes and furniture cluttered the floor. Lupin walked towards a small well. Lee looked on in confusion.

Lupin turned to Lee. "This is a way of transportation, if you don't fancy taking the Floo route," he explained to Lee's confused _expression.

Lee laughed. She had traveled by Floo powder once, and she learned it to be quite an uneventful experience.

"What you do is climb into the well and climb down the ladder. When you get to the bottom, wait for me," said Lupin.

Lee did as Lupin instructed and waited patiently for him. Lupin came down then muttered "Lumos," His wand glowed brightly against the thick darkness. Lupin walked ahead of Lee and again she followed him. He walked down a narrow hallway till he reached a wooden door that he tapped with his wand and said a code to unlock it. (The door uses a code for each entrance so no one breaks into someone else's house by well path.) They emerged into a large brightly lit chamber. The chamber seemed to continue down a hallway that had no visible end to it.

Lupin looked around and found a door marked "Diagon Alley". Lee looked around at the many doors that lined the chamber's walls. Each seemed to have a different destination carved on the door. Lupin opened the door that read "Diagon Alley" and walked through it. Lee followed him. As she walked through the door she felt at once a hard jolt pulling her through. She stumbled as she walked out into the world on the other side of the door. A bright light greeted Lee when she came through. She found Lupin waiting for her with a smile.

"I quite like traveling by well path more than floo powder," said Lupin.

Lee nodded in agreement. They walked onto the street of Diagon Alley. Lee had never been to Diagon Alley and was in awe at the many shops and cloaked figures that crowded the stone flagged street. She spotted a shop in titled Quality Quidditch Supplies and another shop called Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. Lee was absorbed in the many sights she saw before her. She followed Lupin to a white building called Gringotts Wizard Bank. They entered the building and approached the desk where a very disgruntled-looking goblin waited for them to make their inquiry.

"Yes?" asked the goblin in a rather hoarse voice.

"We would like to make a withdrawal," said Lupin, taking a bronze-colored key out of his robe pocket and placing it on the desk.

Lee remembered her family's vault that they had just installed in Gringotts when they first moved there. She did not go with her parents when they went to transfer their money, but she knew of which vault it was kept in. She tugged on Lupin's robe and told him of their vault. He looked at her questioningly.

"Do you have the key with you, by any chance?" he asked.

"No. But I do know that it is still in the house we were staying in."

The goblin listened and took out a key from his pocket. "Are you apart of the Mistral family?' asked the goblin.

"Yes. Why?"

"I have a spare key to your vault. But you must prove to me that you are really an Estel." said the goblin holding up a small golden key.

"How am I to do that?" asked Lee with some annoyance in her tone from the goblin's waving of the key.

"Tell me your mother and father's first and middle names," he said still waving the key as though teasing Lee.

"For hell's sake, will you stop waving the key already," said Lee with the same annoyed tone in her voice. "Fine here. My mother's name was Claire Lee Mistral and my father's name was Darren Jerry Mistral."

The goblin was a little taken aback from Lee's annoyed demand to stop his key waving nodded and took Lupin's key and led them to a cart. They piled into the cart and rode to Lupin's vault first. Lee found the fast and hilly ride very amusing and sickening at the same time. They arrived at Lupin's vault and Lupin gathered some gold pieces from his small pile and returned to the cart. Lee felt sorry and sick when they reached her vault. Inside was a large pile of gold that her parents and inheritance from other relatives was piled on the floor. She looked at Lupin, who told her to take a bag full of the gold for her supplies. They headed back to the street outside of the bank and Lupin started towards a shop called Ollivander's: Makers of Fine Wands.

Lee caught up to Lupin and they entered the shop. A man behind a very cluttered desk came out. Lee received a shock when she saw the man's clear glassy eyes, that reflected her image. He greeted them in a soft voice that sent chills down Lee's back.

"Ah... Mister Lupin, how nice to see you again. Yew wood, a hair of a werewolf, 13 inches long." said Ollivander at once.

Lupin nodded and smiled. (That must be his trademark or something, Lee thought.)

"We are here on the business of finding young Mistral here a wand," explained Lupin, glancing at Lee who stepped forward nervously.

"Well then, let me see. I will get your measurements first. Which hand do you write with?"

"My right ," she replied.

A measuring tape flew from the floor and started to take measurements of Lee's body. The tape flew everywhere and it crumbled to the floor at Ollivander's command. Ollivander disappeared behind a large set of shelves and came back with his arms full of thin long boxes.

"Let's see," he muttered to himself. "Ah... Try this, beech wood, unicorn hair, 12 inches." Lee held the wand for a second and nothing happened.

Lupin whispered in Ollivander's ear something that Lee could only guess was informing him of her being a lycanthrope. Ollivander jumped up at once and yanked a hair from Lee's head quickly. Lee yelped in surprise and looked at him suspiciously. He returned with a wand in his hand and a smile on his face. He handed the wand to Lee and as she took it she felt at once warmth spreading through her body. The wand started to glow brilliantly as Lee stared in amazement.

"Rose wood, a hair of a werewolf (he looked at Lee),13 and a half inches long ," he declared, smiling more broadly from his success of making a wand so unique.

They paid for the wand and left the store. They spent the rest of the day buying the rest of Lee's supplies and having a little bit of fun in the different shops. Lupin showed Lee around Diagon Alley. Lee bought a book she found in the depths of a bookshop that was entitled "Spells of Imagery Art."

They returned home the same way they arrived. It was dark out and Lee sat down next to Lupin on the couch. Lee handed Lupin her bank key. He looked at it, then pushed her hand away.

"That is your money, not mine," said Lupin.

"No. If I am to stay with you, it is only fair that you are to have my account. It will help support both of us," said Lee putting the key in Lupin's hand and folding her arms stubbornly.

Lupin gave in. He hugged her goodnight and they both went to bed.

For the next two months, Lupin taught Lee as many spells as he could manage while searching for a job, since his old boss figured out he was a werewolf. Lee studied a lot on her own when Lupin seemed to tired to even keep his eyes focused. She studied transformation spells and charm spells. She also learned new potions (she already knew a lot of different types of potions from school and personal research) and, to her great dislike, divination. Lupin's best subject was Defense Against the Dark Arts, which he had already had experience teaching at Hogwarts a year before. In addition, each full moon of those two months they transformed together in the cellar.

The months passed by and the school term was approaching rather quicker than both Lee and Lupin had expected. It was a week before school started and Lupin and Lee left to Diagon Alley to buy the books on the school supplies list as well as the other required material. Lee had bought a beautiful black owl for her pet, which she had named Nappa, and admired it as they walked out of the dark shop. They also had Lee fitted into the traditional black Hogwarts school robes. After buying the school supplies Lee and Lupin went home to pack everything up. Lee returned to the house her family had rented and with Lupin gathered all the stuff out of the house and brought it back to her new home.

Lee stuffed the last bit of candy she could into her overstuffed trunk and made for her drawing pad and pencils.

"I don't know how I will get on in Hogwarts. I have never attended a boarding school before," said Lee placing the drawing pad into her separate bag.

"I am sure you'll get along fine," Lupin replied. "Hogwarts is a very interesting school and I would be surprised if you didn't find friends just on the train ride."

"We will be leaving early tomorrow morning to the train station, so get plenty of sleep and don't stay up reading for two hours this time," added Lupin.

Morning came as the golden sun reached the peaks of the waking London. The sky was still a grayish color from the rain that had poured all night. A thick mist of fog blanketed the dewy ground.

Lupin awoke Lee at seven in the morning and they both got dressed and got on their way. Lupin stuffed Lee's luggage in the trunk of his rented Saturn car, then placed Lee in the front seat. Lupin still learning how to drive made Lee sick from his constant sudden stops and near misses of hitting the cars in front of them.

After a long car ride and constant noise of angry honking they arrived at the train station. Lupin lead Lee over to Platform Nine and Three- Quarters and they went through the barrier that separated the wizarding world from the muggle world.

The station was crowded with Hogwarts students and parents seeing them off. Lupin and Lee walked over to the scarlet train that was giving off large grayish puffs of smoke. They loaded the luggage on the train, then Lee made for the entrance to the train. Before Lee boarded she turned to Lupin and wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. Lupin returned the hug and smiled. He had regretted turning down the offer Dumbledore had given him for the Dark Arts job. Lee thanked Lupin for his help and gave him one more goodbye, then boarded the train.

Lee found an empty compartment and settled herself down and started to sketch a drawing of a wolf in her drawing pad. Nappa sat next to her perched in his opened cage, sleeping soundly. She could here the chattering of boarding students passing by her compartment. Lee still wandered what the future held for her in this school. She was a teenage werewolf from the U.S. and was not familiar with boarding schools and their rules. Lupin had told her not to get into a lot of trouble, for this was the only school that she would be able to attend as a werewolf.

Suddenly the compartment door slid open, and a red-headed boy peered at the compartment and then at Lee.

"Do you mind if we share this compartment with you?" he asked.

"Sure. I don't mind," replied Lee, who really did not want to stay in the compartment alone the whole journey.

"Good because all the other compartments are filled," said the boy.

He left the compartment and returned with two other students, which Lee supposed were his friends. The trio looked at Lee with curiosity.

"Hello," said a girl with bushy brown hair.

Lee returned the greeting and looked at a rather large fluffy ginger cat that was perched on her lap. She also noticed a green-eyed messy-hairedstudent sitting next to the redhead. The boy had a slim scar cut into his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt.

"Hello," he said to her, putting forth his hand in greeting.

Lee shook his hand along with shacking the hands of the others.

"My name is Harry Potter."

"I am Hermione Granger and this is..."

"Ron Weasley," the red headed boy finished.

"I am Lee Lupin." Lee replied smiling.

The trio looked at her with great surprise.

"You're... You're... Lupin's daughter?" said Harry stuttering slightly from his surprise.

"I was adopted by Lupin and I took up his family name," replied Lee. "My old name was Mistral."

At this news Ron opened his mouth in surprise.

"My dad told me about those two new Aurors who were killed by Death Eaters. My dad said the Death Eaters went to the Aurors' house and the government had to send warning to their daughter as soon as possible. After the Death Eaters left, Fudge was worried about their daughter getting caught and tortured. You must be her. What happened? I mean, how did you get away?"

Lee told them of her escape, but had to lie when she got to the parts about transforming and ending up in Lupin's care. Instead she said that Lupin simply found her hiding and took her in.

"I wonder who will be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this year?" commented Hermione.

"Did Lupin ever tell you he was the DADA professor one year?" asked Harry.

"Yes. He told me of you guess and some of the other professors," said Lee.

"He was a great teacher," continued Hermione. "We were hoping he would return. I guess since everyone knows that he is a werewolf ("thanks to the greasy git Snape," interrupted Ron), he decided not to come back."

Lee laughed at Ron's comment. At this, a lady pushing a cart full of sweets came in.

"Does anyone want anything off the cart?" she asked.

"Sure," said Lee, quickly pulling out her moneybag while staring at the many sweets.

Lee shared her treasure of candy with the trio. Ron seemed to be extremely happy to get his hands on the Chocolate Frogs. He told her that he collected the cards in the Frog boxes. He pulled out the card from the box and looked slightly disappointed. "Argh. It's just Morgana. I got loads of her."

Lee laughed as she opened her own frog and found a card with a wizard on it named Hengist of Woodcroft. Lee had fun collecting the cards and talking with her new friends. They talked about what the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and who it might be.

"Think it will be Snape?" asked Ron with a disgusted look in his features.

"Then who would teach Potions, Ron?" said Hermione with a look that said, "That was an idiotic question."

"Let's hope it's not Snape," said Harry.

Lee recalled Lupin's stories of his childhood and his adventures in Hogwarts. He told her that Snape loathed him and his friends. So, to pay Snape back for his constant loathing and insulting remarks, Lupin and his three friends played pranks on him. Lee snickered.

"Let's hope not."

Soon, Lee was introduced to the whole Weasley group. She was warned to not accept any candy or pastries Ron's twin brothers Fred and George may offer. Lee questioned this bit of advice but before she could open her mouth a round-faced boy who was called Neville had taken a bite from a creamy puff and started to sprout green fur all over his face and arms.

The compartment erupted in wild laughter. Even the boy who was the victim of the prank started to laugh (though in a nervous sort of embarrassed way). Lee now knew not to accept such tempting offerings from the twins. Neville was reassured that the spell would wear off soon and the group started to engage themselves in a game of Exploding Snap. (Lee was just learning the game.) Lee taught her new friends about a game she use to play with her friends in the U.S. She started a story and each person added a part to the story until someone decided to end it. They laughed as the story started to get entirely crazy and random.

Fred just added that the vampire in the story was applying blue makeup to his face and making kissing faces to a frog outside the window. Everyone laughed uncontrollably, as George added that Snape Apparated into the Vampire's castle. The Vampire took one look at Snape and declared him the winner of a "Scariest Halloween Costume contest" that had mysteriously been held in the castle.

Lee snickered uncontrollably at this even though she had never met the loathed professor. Then she added, "Snape then told the Vampire that he was really looking for the beauty contest to try out as Ms. London. He showed the Vampire his polka dot pink flamingo dress that he was planning on wearing. He also showed the Vampire his headdress, which was a hat with a stuffed frog jumping half way of the brim."

The company now could all barely stand up or talk as more incredibly odd things happened to the beauty queen Snape. (Who, as Harry added, was flirting with the wizard in the front row clad in drag queen clothing.)
The train finally stopped at their destination in Hogsmead. Lupin had been right. Lee did find some new friends just on the train ride. She hoped her years in Hogwarts would be as fun as Lupin had made it out to be in his strories. The group seated themselves in the invisible horse drawn carriage and made their way to the castle.
