Chapter 4

Harry stood there stunned.

Old Mrs. Figg a witch?

Harry felt his stomach lurch. It had been a long day, and Harry was less than healthy.

"What does it say, Sirius?" Harry turned back to the conversation.

Sirius stared down at the letter. "It just a polite way of saying: We don't know squat!" He threw the letter at Lupin. "Well," Sirius said annoyed, "you see what I mean?"

Lupin studied the letter carefully. "Sirius, what are you talking about?! This is good news!"

Sirius ripped the letter back out of Lupin's hands and began to wave it in his face. "What part of this is good?"

Lupin started to chuckle. "The part, Mr. The glass is half empty, where it says that the Order knows your innocent!" Lupin began to laugh again.

"Remus," Sirius said calmly. "It doesn't really help when we have no idea what's going on."

"True, but we do know one thing."

Sirius hesitated, then asked: "What's that?"

"Arabella is in good health."

Sirius snorted and started talking about the letter again. Harry was barley listening.

Why didn't she tell me?

Harry realized that it was beginning to get very dark, and if he was going to expose himself, it had to be soon. He figured he should just blurt out the whole story.

He wiped some sweat off his head; it was beginning to get hot under that cloak, or so he thought. He finally took off his cloak.

Sirius and Lupin were to obusy figuring out what to write back, they didn't see him. Harry looked down at himself---he felt very weak. His eyes were worn from the exhaustion of the day, and his tiny body began shivering violently. His head danced, as he thought of Mrs. Figg and the Death Eaters. Harry did the only thing he could---he fainted.

Is he alright?

Harry heard voices above him. How did he get here? What was he thinking?

Here, help me move him .

Said the other voice.

Harry knew the voices were familiar, but he couldn't figure out who it was. Where was he? His day was jumbled: Dobby, Malfoy, Macnair, Mrs. Figg, Sirius, and Lupin were all just a big blur.

Harry groaned and rolled over; he wasn't getting up any time soon.

Sirius and Lupin were both screaming at each other.

"WHY WOULD YOU TELL HIM WHERE YOU ARE?!" Lupin's voice echoed through the cave.

"I was supposed to," Sirius said rather calmly.

"Huh?"

Sirius sighed. "Dumbledore told me to."

Lupin slowly calmed down. His eyes from Sirius' face to Harry's. "What do you think happened?"

"I don't know." Sirius walked over to where Harry was laying. Sirius had managed to find some sheets for him, but it didn't help much. "Do you think we should notify Dumbledore?"

Lupin forced a laugh. "Knowing him, he already knows."

*Hogwarts*

Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, was sitting at his desk. He had recently had a very nasty conversation with some people at the ministry. "Finding out who took Fudge is our main priority." They had said.

Dumbledore looked up at Fawks and began to hum a soft tune. The ministry had refused to listen to anything, and it would come back and get them.

BOOM!

There was a loud knock at the door. "Come in."

It was Professor McGonagall.

"What is it, Minerva?"

Harry," she said out of breath, "he's missing."

*Hogsmeade*

Sirius was sitting beside Harry, watching, or rather making sure his chest was rising and falling.

"Sirius?"

"Yes?" He said distracted.

"How's Harry?"

Sirius turned to look at Lupin. "No difference."

Lupin looked down; then took something out of his pocket. Sirius stood up and walked over to him. "We got another letter. It came by owl."

"Who from?"

"Dumbledore," Lupin said, handing it to Sirius. "It's about the Ministry."

"Do I even want to read this?" Sirius asked, annoyed with the whole subject.

Lupin shook his head. "You really don't."

Sirius walked back over to Harry and started shaking his head. "This is what happens, Remus, when people don't listen!"

"What's that?"

"Harry! The poor kid has been through hell, and nobody has done one thing about it!"

"I understand that Sirius, but you can't blame yourself."

Sirius smiled. There was something on his face, though that looked dead serious. "I don't blame myself Remus, I blame the ones who don't blame themselves."

Lupin stared at Sirius. "I need some fresh air, Remus, I'm going for a walk."

Lupin started to say wait, but his better judgment stopped him. Lupin walked over to Harry sighing and shaking his head. "Wish you were awake, Harry. Sirius is a lot to deal with."

Just then there was a really loud yelp from outside the cave.

*Hogwarts*

"Are you sure Minerva?"

"Yes, Albus. Arabella said he wasn't at the Dursley's; despite their failed attempt to keep that private." McGonagall spat the words out like venom.

"What about Sirius and Remus? Might he have gone their?"

"Shall I send someone to check?"

"Yes, yes," Dumbledore said thoughtfully. "Send Fletcher and Moody."
