Muggles and Marauders

Chapter Two

*The Marauders are slowly making their way through the woods, and they have no idea if they are even going the right way (although no one will admit it)*

Peter: Uh...you guys? A little help here? *Peter's robes are caught on brambles*

James: *rolls eyes* You're stuck again? *releases Peter from the brambles' clutches*

Sirius: I'm beginning to think maybe we should just leave him here.

Peter: What?! Please, no, don't leave me alone!

Sirius: I was joking, Wormtail, you prat.

Peter: Right, I knew that...

Remus: Okay, you two, that's enough, let's just concentrate on getting out of here.

James: Ah, the voice of reason speaks again...

Remus: You're just lucky one of us (namely ME) has some sense, or we'd be stuck here arguing forever.

Sirius: Moony's right. Onward, fellow travellers! *Marches off imitating a general (or something to that effect)*

*The other three follow, shaking their heads*

After hours of wandering...

James: *stops* I think we've passed this tree before...

Remus: What makes you say that?

James: *inspects tree* Yup, just as I suspected! This is the tree I took a whiz on earlier.

All (except James): Eeew... *back away from tree*

James: Well...I'm just saying...

Sirius: Okay...well, as disgusting as that is...

Remus: And as disturbing as it is that James can tell where he's taken a whiz...*shudders*

Sirius: Quite...but this does mean that we're going in circles. Which means that we're lost.

Peter: *speaking very fast* Which means that we're stuck here! And we'll probably starve to death. Or be *gulp* eaten by something! And then sometime in the distant future someone will come across our bones, 'cause we'll be DEAD! *starts hyperventilating*

Remus: Calm down, Peter! We're not going to die in here. *Looks around* I think we should be fine if we just pick a direction and keep going straight. That way we're bound to get to the edge of the woods eventually.

James: The voice of reason speaks yet again...

Remus: Shut up, Prongs. Come on, I think the trees are thinner this way. *walks off to the left*

After another couple hours of wandering (in a straight line, of course)...

Peter: I see light! *runs to the edge of the woods, trips on a root and ends up sprawled on the grass*

Remus: See, I told you we'd make it out of there.

Sirius: Nice job, Moony. Now, we have to get to London, right?

Remus: Right.

James: Okay, so London is in which direction?

*All four look around as if hoping to see a road sign*

Peter: Hey, look over there! *points*

*The others look in the direction Peter is pointing*

Sirius: Hey, it's that freaky little rabbit! *gets zapped by a lightening bolt* OW! *glares at the sky*

*Mr. Bonko hops over to the Marauders*

James: *sarcastically* Great, we're saved. Mr. Bonko is here.

*Mr. Bonko gives James a bunny glare and points down a road to the right*

Remus: So we have to go that way to get to London?

*Mr. Bonko nods and gives Remus a bunny grin*

Sirius: Okay, lets go then. Get this over with...(grumble grumble)... *he's still cranky about being zapped*

*The Marauders head down the road. Mr Bonko disappears*
