2nd Chapter

Finally, it was September 1st. It had been a long week for Harry, from suffering the rude remarks from his relatives and having to get school supplies by himself, because Ron and Hermione were on vacation.

He got out of the car between Platforms 9 and 10 at the Kings Cross Station. He muttered a quick goodbye to his aunt and uncle, and walked over to a group of redheads.

"Harry!" cried Mrs. Weasley. She hugged him, and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

"Wow, Harry, you look skinny...We just got back from Egypt, visiting Charlie again, and the tombs we saw-well, they can make someone's head turn!" exclaimed Ron.

"You guys! We only have ten minutes. Let's go!" screeched Mrs. Weasley. So they easily walked through the barrier to Platform 9 ¾, and saw the scarlet Hogwarts Express train, getting ready to depart. Hermione saw them and ran over to her cronies. She said her hellos, gave some hugs and kisses, and went to save them a compartment on the train.

"Now Ginny, Harry, and Ron have a good term! Please don't get yourself into any trouble, and Harry, be careful!" Mrs. Weasley waved goodbye. Harry didn't like the look on Molly's face when she said that, and boarded the train with Ron and Ginny, trying to find the compartment where Hermione was.

When he walked into the compartment he couldn't help
staring at Hermione. Her bushy hair had become longer
and straighter, and her teeth were perfect.

Hermione felt eyes watching her, and turned to Harry.
He gave her a small smile and sat down having a
conversation with Ron about Quidditch. Hermione's
heart skipped a beat as she looked at Harry.

"Oh god, why does he have to look so damn hot?" she thought to herself. Meanwhile, Harry was thinking the same thing about Hermione.

"Wow, she is so beautiful!" he thought to himself.

After nice trains ride, while catching up with everyone, they were back at Hogwarts.

"Firs' years! Firs' years over here!"; Hagrid, a half-giant, called for the traditional boat ride to Hogwarts for first years. Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny walked through the big doors and down to the Great Hall, waiting for the sorting process to start, and for the beginning-of-term feast to begin.

Finally, when Ted Zograf-the little brother of the famous Bulgarian keeper-was sorted to Hufflepuff, Dumbledore started the term off with three words: "Oint! Groger! Pirst!"

Right away, the trays in front of the students quickly filled with food. During dinner, Harry took the time to talk with his friends.

"We had an amazing time in Egypt!" Ron was telling their friend Seamus about his trip, "But those mummies sure are freaky!"

Meanwhile Harry and Hermione were having a conversation about animagi. Ever since Harry learned his dad was one, he had been quite interested in them. "You see, Harry, to become an animagus, you have to go through very hard training," explained Hermione, "You first have to learn the proper way to transform. Then you have to take a test to see what animal your personality matches."

" Wow," said Harry, "I can't believe my dad had to go through all that with Sirius, and that awful traitor, Peter." Harry then turned to look at the Gryffindor table and felt an uneasy feeling in his stomach. Not hearing the breaking of glasses, or seeing spills, on the floor made the seven-years feel
like something was missing. That thing was Neville.

Hermione turned to Harry to continue their conversation, and saw the disturbed feeling in Harry's eyes, and knew he was thinking about Neville.

"Oh god, please help him!" she thought to herself, and then got up, so she and Harry could direct the students out of the Great Hall.
